  1. A fantastic signing in the current climate. I'll wager that there aren't too many other AFL clubs who have signed up new sponsors in the Covid-19 era. Well done MFC!
  2. Demonland was already the best AFL Footy Forum by a country mile. This MFC / community spirited initiative takes it to a new level again. Well done folks! Time for another donation methinks!
  3. And sadly Niamh and Sinead will now be heading home early to be with their families, as COVID-19 strikes again. I loved their contribution, and hope they will be back next year.
  4. It all seems a bit surreal to me right now, but the selections of Kozzi and Toby have spiked my interest to something like that of a 'normal' season. No doubt I'll be yelling my lungs out on Sunday arvo, and the neighbors in will be nodding to each other, and sagely saying "the Demons game must have started".
  5. The AFLPA fought for and won a larger share of revenue in their current CBA, and now that the future good of the game is at stake, they should share some of the pain. Surely it must work both ways.
  6. Hey od, if you can stick fat with the Dees for 60+ years, you have the endurance to weather any storm. Best wishes mate!
  7. "Will Schofield says the Eagles are prepared to face Melbourne without a crowd to cheer them on" Of course he's gonna say that to the media ........... in the full knowledge that he and his team mates are already making a disproportionate contribution to the national shortage of toilet paper.
  8. Agree. Category B Rookie, with plenty of time to develop. Is there another Jimmy or Sean waiting to be recruited from the Emerald Isles?
  9. A game of two halves (as they all are, but you know what I mean). We ran out of players, and (consequently) legs in the second half. Four, and possibly five ACLs in a season is just [censored] luck, no matter how you spell it !
  10. Every Demon would have to love LJ, and the promise, hope and excitement that his untapped potential brings. One thing that sticks in my mind is a comment made by Jason Taylor in 'To Hell & Back' that his improvement in the last 6 months has been 'dramatic'. I have a gut feeling that he will maintain that trajectory.
  11. I agree with this deanox. Kossie adds a completely different dimension. I thought during the game that he would have been a handy ground level addition when the ball was bombed forward. Might have snagged a couple, I reckon.
  12. I thought the knock on Tomlinson was that he doesn't get enough of the ball. Wow! 32 isn't too shabby.
  13. A lot to like ....... a bit to work on ....... headaches for the Match Committee. I like it a lot!
  14. It looks like a Premiership banner to me!
  15. Our run of AFLW injuries is akin to what our men have endured in recent years. Four ACLs is totally crap!
  16. No Salem adds to the intrigue about his 'no show' at training on Tuesday. Any insights?
  17. With this being the last full team hit-out against serious opposition before R1, I'm hoping to get some good insights into our probable R1 team, and a game plan that reflects the way we want to play in 2020. I already have a touch of nervous anticipation. Hope I'm not disappointed, and of course, no injuries please.
  18. Yep, fantastic photos! Of course, you often just see what you want to see in these things, but it looks to me like the boys are relishing the hard work and camaraderie, ...................... but the absolute stand-out shots for me are a couple towards the middle, which highlight what seems to be a great rapport between Max and Harley. What a great captain and mentor Max will be for Harley.
  19. Love this quote from the article: "AFL.com.au understands he privately passed other tests in recent weeks, including sprints away from the club's main training oval at Gosch's Paddock."
  20. Huge thanks to our track reporters ........ greatly appreciated by all Demonlanders, and even more so when they deliver [mostly] good news! ?
  21. My bold prediction is that by the mid-season break it will be 14/ 5
  22. You need to add Viney to the mix of inside mids TJ6. I expect that's the reason that Harmes is being tried at HB. I reckon he has the attributes to make a decent fist of it, but obviously, only time will tell.
  23. It's 'every which way' Chook.
  24. Geez, the Harley bit got me again! Bleary eyed right now! A 70+ year supporter, and I've never loved this Club more. I'm sure the red wine is contributing, but I'm so excited for this season. Go Dees
  25. According to the Preview, this will be the penultimate episode of a 5 part series.
