  1. Very disappointing. We have nobody to blame but ourselves, but the maggots made sure that we had no chance of getting up in the last.
  2. 6. Salem 5. Oliver 4. Jones 3. Gawn 2. Frost 1. Melksham
  3. Weid anyone?
  4. I'm an honest old fart, but daylight robbery has just got some appeal.
  5. Poor form by May. To me it seems that he is putting himself above the Club, and that's exactly the sort of culture / behavior I don't want to see at my Club..
  6. An ugly win, but we banked the 4 points, and to make it sweeter, it was against a team that has had the wood on us for most of the last decade. In the end, our guts and detetmination, combined with a positive mind-set, overcame (frequently) deplorable ball skills and decision making. Very happy to take it and move on.
  7. 6. Harmes 5. Hibberd 4. Gawn 3. Salem 2. Oliver 1. Hunt
  8. I can't see much point in 'revolving doors' selections, but we can't ignore the fact that the cupboad is very bare right now. A 'wing and a prayer' is about all we have!
  9. It's time for TMac and Weid to play themselves back into form against a not great St Kilda tall defence. Add in Preuss and occasionally Max, and they'll find the match ups difficult. We've just gotta get it done! Another loss will be a massive kick in the guts for our confidence.
  10. A bye next week ..... that's downright amateurish. How are AFL players supposed to build continuity, gain match fitness, work into form? Jeffry needs (maybe) one more run to be AFL ready, and instead he's watching on. Grrrr!
  11. Thanks for providing that perspective DJ. Being an old fart who lives interstate, it is indeed useful!
  12. Suddenly our depth looks a wee bit better.
  13. and I'd love it if you would keep an eye on young Chandler as well please dl4e. One of our better players in a poor team effort last week. Thanks!
  14. Best game I've seen all year. One small step!
  15. 6. Gawn 5. Jones 4. Fritsch 3. Petracca 2. Oliver 1. Hunt
  16. Most of your contributions add great value to this forum Wiseblood, but not this one.
  17. 6. Brayshaw 5. Harmes 4. Gawn 3. C. Wagner 2. Oliver 1. Fritta
  18. Sadly, the only thing on the 'G' tonight worse than the umpires, was the Melbourne collective. Total despair from me.
  19. Well I'll be buggered ......... a H&A fixture on Friday night. How novel is that? Let's make it a memorable one Dees. Start our season rolling, and mount an undeniable case with the AFL for six Friday nighters in 2020.
  20. Thanks once again guys! Now we need a long winning streak to make things easier for you.
  21. Very, very disappointing but not wrist slashing time. Despite the margin, there were improvements tonight over what we saw in Round 1. Some tweaking of the game plan, a couple of wins and the boost in confidence that they will bring ........ I still hold out hope!
  22. 6. Oliver 5. Brayshaw 4. Salem 3. Gawn 2. Viney 1. Melksham # honourable mention to Lockhart for a promising debut.
  23. Agree, especially when coupled with @WERRIDEE's well known 'love' for OMac and Frost.
  24. We can take it right up to them, even on their own dung heap and in dirty weather, but a return to our 2018 style of hard contested footy, and playing for eachother, is a prerequisite! Just do it Dees!
