  1. https://www.carltonsc.com/index.php?topic=5505.0 "I think we can beat Melbourne, more on the law of averages, they are due for a loss and just fell in for a win vs the Swans IMO. Brown and McDonald wont present the same problems as Bruce and Naughton plus Oliver is only half the player the Bont is and Cripps owes us a big one. Blues by 16 points, not because we are great but more because Melbourne are getting ahead of themselves, due for a loss and we can defend them better IMO"
  2. This. Jackson is a couple of players rolled up in to one, so is very hard to replace. Overall we probably gain a bit of goal kicking firepower with Weid coming in, but definitely lose out in the other areas mentioned. I'd like to see Sparrow come in with Weid to fill that midfield/clearance/centre bounce gap, maybe at the expense of Melksham?
  3. Yeah that was really good, especially the little graphic showing where all the players were actually looking and what they were doing when the ball wasn't in play. Great stuff!

  5. I caught my first train since well before Covid on the weekend and was actually quite surprised that almost everyone was wearing masks. Main exceptions were a couple of the usual 'Facebook certified medical expert' types, and Sydney supporters. The latter I assume were in town for the game, and maybe didn't know the requirements re masks on public transport?
  6. JJ will be on 360 tonight
  7. Looks like its a bit different this week with a change of time for the on-sale window, and the ability to select seats on level 4
  8. The way the Filth are going (and also with historical resign/re-sign posts), did anyone else have to open the thread to check before being completely sure what it was about?
  9. Wow, this thread and all the old demonology usernames is a bit of a blast from the past!
  10. M56 for me No issues with ticketing, again. In and done in about 60 seconds.
  11. Its been corrected now, but still... ?
  12. ... or Hunt, who we also got with the pick that came back in the trade. Or that Tyson (who was poor but still serviceable) was effectively swapped for Preuss and the later Preuss trade helped us get B.Brown. Kelly trade is the gift that keeps on giving.
  13. Whoever we bring in to replace Tomlinson, we are going to miss the flexibility he gave us by basically never coming off. Prior to today he averaged 98% time on ground. Ed Langon as a comparison is 93%. Leans me towards wanting to try Tmac (90%) down back so as to not disrupt rotations through the rest of the team too much. Petty as an FYI is at around the 75% mark
  14. Footywire has Jackson out? https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/afl_team_selections Don't see anywhere else, so assume its an error?
  15. In terms of mindset, this game is complete opposite to Tigers. Saturday night we had nothing to lose whereas vs North we have everything to lose. Its a completely different sort of pressure so it'll be interesting to see how we handle it.
  16. I loved Max charging through the middle after the one/two with Viney and Petracca, then hoofing if to Oliver/Spargoat who won the contest and got it out to Dogga for a clear run to goal. That, Hunts run, and the other length of field passage that finished with Spargoat clearing the way for another Jackson goal were awesome.
  17. I'm not very good at describing what I see on the footy field, so apologies in advance... Bedford looks the most likely at this point to take the next step. Didnt have as much of a stand out game as the last couple but his speed, aggressiveness and attack on the ball and opposition were still impressive. Bowey was similar, but looked a bit timid early. Got into it more as the game progressed. Not as quick as I thought he'd be, but then the conditions were bad for a fair chunk of the game and not really condusive to hard running so I'll reserve judgement on that. Got a great kick on him though. Smith is in everything. Quite a slight fella but it doesn't seem to bother him at all. He was often the one you'd see running around in support of team mates, mopping up the loose ball. Often got to it first when he probably had no right too. Majak though, was very impressive. He's got a great vertical leap and tap, and to my eye, dominated the Richmond rucks, one of which was Chol. He took a couple of big pack marks in the forward line which definitely raised my eyebrows. Very handy acquisition
  18. I'm not a coach, but I was there and he had a very good game. FWIW.....
  19. I didn't take note of when it was exactly but there was a close up shot of Viney having just been tackled. As Nankervis was getting up, he reaches over to Vineys arm and pinches him... ? Sure are tough those Tigers
  20. Lingering MFCSS says that this game will tell us just as much about where we are at as last night did, if not more.
  21. Prior to the game there wasn't any full game replay listed. Just those AFL Mini things. There is now a full replay on Thursday morning @ 8.25
