Help with streaming FTA TV channels
I'm after some advice/suggestions from any TV gurus that might frequent this place. My house is within a deep gully, that is a bit of a reception black hole. To get FTA TV via an antenna I would need to fork out a lot of $ to get a 40+ foot pole on my roof and "maybe" get a signal. So until now I've been relying on my Foxtel cable service to get the FTA channels - 7, 9, 10, SBS, ABC, and their various offshoots. It's one of the main reasons I have kept the Foxtel connected. As Foxtel will be moving off the off the cable next year, I've been told I'll be migrated to a streaming only IQ5, which wont allow me to get any of the live FTA channels without an antenna. So, what are my 'no antena' options for FTA TV? 'Freeview' looks to be the sort of thing I am after but my TV (Samsung Q7) doesn't seem to have it. Is there a set top box or other device that I can plug into the TV, hook up to my wifi and stream all the live FTA channels? Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Yes, it could be. Sorry if my post added to any further confusion.

How to get the tickets (if that is what you mean) have been covered in last few posts - I'm GA also so would be in the same boat as you. What happens when at the ground I'm not clear on. Edit - I am now - thanks LH

2022 Tickets Thread
It does - thanks for that 👍 I'll sit tight then and not contribute to their phone line issues any longer. But yes, if they can add a "we are extremely busy - please wait" or "level 2 reserved seating is sold out" to their waiting on hold messaging, then maybe something saying "barcodes are not available yet" would have helped reduce their call load today.

Whilst waiting on hold they said all level 2 reserved seating had been sold out.

Re the new mobile membership instructions for ticketing, I'm also stuck at the "where is my barcode?" stage. I followed all instructions here: https://membership.melbournefc.com.au/member-hub/mobile-ticketing but cannot get past point #6 as there is no 'View barcode' link. I am definitely logged in as I can see my name and member number up the top. I can also see all the games that are applicable to my membership (Thursday night, and home game GA for the season) Does anyone else have this problem? 🙁 I've tried calling the club twice, but unfortunately got nowhere as each time I sat on hold for 45+ mins, getting the "we are busy but will get to you shortly" message, later followed by "sorry, we have no one available to take you call - please send us an email.... CLICK" Edit - by barcode, I mean the QR code that we need to scan when entering the ground. Not the barcode number which I know about, but wont help me with entry for the ground. I dont have the 'View Barcode' link circled in screenshot, only 'Ticket details' which is just game time, ticket type, my member number... etc

AFL Commentary teams - How good is Daisy Pearce
I think Daisy is amazing, but know a couple of people that can't stand her in commentary. When I press them as to why, all it really boils down to is that they don't like hearing a female voice commentating a male sport. It doesn't matter to them what she says or how good she is as they cant get past the voice. 🙄

Premiership Cup Tour
Missed this post sorry. Nah I'm not going - I was just trying to help out Dingo. MFC member number - if that is the issue - would be the one that appears under your name on back of membership card. Not the barcode number that we've been using in recent times for tickets.

These are the instructions. Are you entering the discount code at checkout, and doing separate transaction per member?

Are you talking about the Premiership celebration event on Sunday, or something else?

Very happy with this.- To be an arrogant fan?
"You wouldn't even have a club if it wasn't for Hawthorn" seems to be quite prominent again lately. Also.. "you have been rewarded for mediocrity - any team could have won it with all those first round draft picks" Their tears are delicious! 🤣- AFL Trade Period
Well, that escalated quickly!- Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Mentioned earlier, but the main knocks on him from Saints supporters on BF is that he doesn't have a good tank and his disposal (handballing in particular) is poor. They also said that whilst he doesn't have the physical ability to go both ways all day, he definitely has the mindset/desire to do so. So, between the ears (effort..etc) he sounds good. I'm sure our fitness team & Choco could sort out the rest.- AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURS
Independent vaccine researchers would have taken a bit of a hit today too...- What’s your favourite GOAL from the Grand Final?

Interesting comments on him from St Kilda people at BF (which I read earlier today and now can't find comments/thread to link): - has the desire/mindset to be a two way player, but has never had the tank and can't sustain it - atrocious disposal, handballing in particular - ratten doesn't rate him, and he knows it. He wont entertain any contract offers should they backflip and put one in front of him. Wants out- How far off were we from a perfect 2021?
I am irrationally bothered by the fact that the only team we didn't beat all season was the Filth.- 2022 Crowd Traditions
"That NZ dance thing" is the haka, which is a huge part of NZ culture and tradition and has been performed pre-game by the All Blacks since early 1900. Please don't throw that in the same basket as the manufactured BS that Port do. Liverpool is tolerable because that was started by the fans. - Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
