POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Fremantle
I think thatâs answered my questions about whether we were good or not this year, weâre not. Something is either wrong in the rooms or with the game plan. Some players are down on their best and we lost Gus and some depth from last year but itâs fallen off a cliff. No losses like that in a long time where itâs just totally fallen apart. I think the defence has been making the rest look good and now nothing looks good. Should we have extended Goodwin last year? We had to, 3 top 4 finishes in a row including a flag, no way he was getting sacked. And I donât think sacking him now is the answer, rebuilding the list is the answer. Depth is non-existent. We havenât been able to top up like the tigers or cats did, we rode it to try and win another flag and it seems like we rode it too long.

Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement
Pies media management really is second to none đ€ź No one should be expecting on field violence, itâs not going to happen and if it did what good would it really do? One of our players getting 6 weeks for knocking out a bog-standard back pocket player? Pointless. Nothing we can do except beat them on the scoreboard and win another flag.

Might be easier to just email the hackers next time and see if they can get you a ticket

No change. Armchair selector me says Woey Jnr into the 22, Windsor sub but I donât think that will actually happen. If Petty isnât hurt he plays. The only one who might push him out is Disco and heâs not fit yet. Maybe Tomlinson out for Howes if they think Freo is too mobile but I see the club just dropped a TMac x Tommo highlights tape so you think heâd be stiff.

Stats Files - 2024
15 marks inside 50 is pretty good for us overall, but with those sort of i50 numbers we should be taking a couple more ideally. Saints took 12 with much fewer i50s. Hopefully McAdam and Petty can start taking a couple, we need to be breaking 100 more regularly towards the end of the year.

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
You think that now, but if it happens youâll change your mind. I used to have a soft spot for Geelong due to family being catters, and I felt bad when they lost all those grand finals and wished them well.. now 4 flags later they can all get [redacted]! Everyone is insufferable when theyâre winning, except us.

Heâs a kid in his 2nd year, heâll be fine. Tom Hawkins kicked 25 goals in 19 games in his first 2 years (1.32 gpg). Tom Lynch 27 goals in 30 (0.9 gpg). JVRâs just played his 30th game and is averaging 1.37. Hawkins didnât get there til year 3, Lynch year 4 (i think he was injured year 3).

Nibbla 27 @ 74%, 12 contested and 2 goal assists, 11 centre bounce attendances, heâs above a role player now đđ» wouldâve been nice to win by 50 instead of 38 but weâd put the cue in the rack and benched Max and a couple of others. Did what we needed to do and comfortably beat a weak opponent. Am I convinced weâre back? No but itâs better than last week.

NON-MFC: Round 11
It also doesnât even make sense, if Gus was never coming back then what? We delist him? He had a contract.

NON-MFC: Round 11
He kicked 16 goals in 2021, Spargo kicked 18. Itâd be nice to have him but he was never gonna stay.

NON-MFC: Round 11
[censored] was definitely one of the words I used watching the game last week

Would have to be an improvement

With you on Viney and Fullarton, if Sparrow is in the youâd have to include Sestan. Brown is definitely a mullet

NON-MFC: Round 11
Caleb Daniel, such a good kick and only 27yo. If only he wasnât 5â7â he'd be worth chasing given Bevo doesnât rate him but imo weâre already overweight in sub-6 footers

I like it. Better than another half dozen âhereâs why X canât win the flagâ or âevery team in the league is vying to sign 32yo cooked player on long term deal, sources (his agent) sayâ articles..

NON-MFC: Round 11
Painful result for them if it keeps going like this, looked like beating the top team, cop a bunch of injuries including maybe a knee to a bloke youâre paying over a mil for the next 8 years and now it looks like they could get blown away
