I literally can’t believe the fall. Cats and Pies both had a down year after their flag but were back in the final 4 this year. Lions didn’t have a down year, just won back to back flags on the G. Drafting has been excellent, but trading has been pox. We still had I think 16/23 premiership players on the list this year and were lucky to finish above the bottom 4. It’s been a massive failure by the coach (aided by the board letting him drive the bus off the cliff) and list management to not keep us in the hunt after 21. We were close in 23 but failed and now we’re blowing up the list for a rebuild. Frankly I cbf anymore. Tuned out of anything related to the AFLM team after the Port game and am just drifting back now. What do we get for Trac? Whatever we can, would like Humphreys but am not confident. Likely 2 picks. Clarry? Not sure he’s gone yet but again likely just a pick if he does go. We’re a bit stuck as this isn’t a great draft by all accounts but there’s this draft and next and Tassie is getting all the picks after that so we need to make the best of it while we can. Agree that some on here seem to have gone off the deep end and need to go and touch some grass. I’m as disappointed as anyone with the past couple of years (as I emailed the club on Monday) but people need to vent and move on rather than posting 500 times about who needs to get sacked etc imo.

No but you can get picks, and use those picks. It’s rebuild time so you have to give to get. Giving Fritta doesn’t get much but teams might back themselves to get Oliver and Trac right. And in any case they aren’t winning us any games so move them on to get players in who can.

The problem is you need minimum 2 A-grade mids to even think about making the 8. 2020-2022 we had Trac & Oliver at A, and Viney B. Now we’ve got Trac B-grade with flashes of A, Viney B-grade (and dropping) and Oliver C-grade. We need to either hope Trac can get to solid A again, and Langford get to A, or we need to trade for other A-graders. To do that you need to give up value, no one is going to give us Caleb Serong or Matt Rowell for Bailey Fritsch.

As I said earlier in the thread if he can get back to his pre-injury level then we should keep him, at his level now I’m a sell. He’s not what he was in contests and his already iffy kicking is worse. Just don’t let him go to the pies I’ll spew up

Untradeable: Gawn, Koz, Langford, Lindsay. Everyone else is on the block as far as I’m concerned. Oliver doesn’t look like coming good so if we can get a deal that’s not too painful then cop it. Trac, only he and the club would know if he’s still feeling the effects of last year’s injury. If he is then maybe we keep him and hope another preseason gets him right. If he’s 100% now then he’s not trying and can go too. The send him forward plan is a myth, terrible ball drop when kicking for goal, kicking one is a fluke.

Let it be known that when I email the club the president responds in under 24 hours 💪🏻 (kidding, I’m sure they got a few thousand emails today..) Not quite the full explanation of what’s happened that I was after but at least an acknowledgment that things are bad and the team isn’t performing to the level expected or required, and an acknowledgment that the members and supporters are right to be [censored] off.
