  1. He might get out of tigerland by 2030 for good behaviour
  2. From the afl.com story: Signed until 2032 Noah Balta (Rich) Luke Davies-Uniacke (NM) Connor Idun (GWS) Max King (StK) Aaron Naughton (WB) Connor Rozee (PA) Sam Taylor (GWS) Signed until 2033 Hayden Young (Frem) Signed until 2034 Kysaiah Pickett (Melb) I’d take Kozz over just about all them, maybe Rozee but he’s a downhill skier for mine.. apparently Mac Andrew can extend out to 2034 if he plays enough games but I’d have Kozz over him too.
  3. That’s not how averages work, they include the wins and the losses. And the media can get stuffed, most of them don’t know [censored].
  4. He’s averaging 2.1 gpg this year which is rated elite, also elite for tackles i50, marks i50, centre clearances, one percenters and score involvements.
  5. It’s not that bad, Viney now has 3 years to go, Trac and JVR 4 and Clarry 5. Kozz is getting a long deal and a big wedge but the cap is going up so there’s plenty of room for others. Had to do whatever it took to keep Kozz, absolute freak.
  6. Just heard Lindsay got fined for legging Bobby Hill, but I can’t seem to find any fine for some Hawthorn [censored] for legging Kozz when we played them.. absolute bull [censored] from the AFL as usual..
  7. Gonna have nightmares about Gawn trying to pick out Bowey amongst 3 pies and turning it over for a goal. Ditto Howes letting Long (I think) turn inside and set up a goal instead of pushing him to the boundary. Melksham missing some he would ordinarily kick. Petty trying a drop punt from a 90° angle instead of a banana and putting it out on tbe full. Should’ve won that. Kozzie one of the best goals you’ll see. Frittata was good today apart from the play on. Lever also good. Trac and Oliver were disappointing, Trac may have had too much on his mind on the anniversary of nearly losing a spleen but he did some really sloppy things. Umpiring terrible.
  8. Zero confidence, hopefully we at least play up to the occasion and don’t get pumped. Having said that I thought we were certainties last week and had no chance against the lions so what do I know? Go dees
  9. Round 1 v Giants was torrential at times. Rain won’t hurt our already atrocious goal kicking, but it won’t help either
  10. He started his career a bit rough, 59% 56% & 48%, then went on a tear for 2 years, 71% & 71% over 2021 & 2022. I thought the foot injury in 2023 hurt his kicking, but he was a bit off that year before the foot - 60% for the year, then 64% last year. This year has been his worst so far at 44%. Career average 62%. I get the impression the practice kicks are pretty much pressure free. All I see on socials is kicking over the cardboard cutout on the mark, or inside out banana trick shots from the pocket. I’d like to see some actual noise from a person or people on the mark to simulate game conditions. But frankly I just think we have a lot of bad kicks in the team.
  11. [censored] me, it’s taken me til today to stomach coming on here and thinking about footy, last week was just so so disappointing. Should’ve been a lock for a win and we didn’t turn up. Can’t see this week being much better, Pies are going well and based on last week we aren’t. Had some hope after the run of wins but that’s gone now. (Interesting timing for the club to send me an email titled “HOPE” on tuesday, but it was just about drink bottles not actual hope for the season). AJ out, I think it has to be JVR in. Jeffo kicked 5 yes but they were VFL goals, leads into space with no pressure etc, don’t get those chances at AFL level. He can’t go in the ruck either. Will suck it up and go along but what used to be an exciting day (and meaningful as Dad got taken down by MND) is becoming a bit painful with arrogant, annoying pies fans and our losses.
  12. If it’s 93 to 88 Ross will kick the glass out of the coaches box - he’ll be aiming for 50-60points each
  13. They’ll have multiple screens running but it’s still not the same as watching live
  14. Maybe he’s closer than Bill then?
  15. If Viney doesn’t come up best guess would be Laurie comes in (despite my view he’s too small for AFL). He and Culley were the emergencies last week with TMac which in my view makes them next in, Culley didn’t get near it against Preston from the stat sheet so that puts Laurie in the box seat. Wouldn’t be shocked if Billings gets the call up out of the blue but I think it’s Bill. No other changes imo. Should beat them, they’re going terribly. As others have pointed out Ross the Boss will make it the worst game of the round to watch but we should have enough quality to win it.
  16. This is an underrated point, he wasn’t having a day out against the swans but he stayed up and about and stayed in the game and did some good things late where he could’ve been kicking grass in the goal square. I don’t think anyone on here is kidding themselves that he’s gonna morph into Wayne Carey 2.0 but he’s doing his job, staying on the move and bringing teammates into the game. Long term I think JVR has his job but for now it’s his..
  17. That one Hopper was complaining about was a goal assist, shocking throw
  18. That’s good news, but as we saw with Viney it’s not always the end of the story. Looked a solid bump, would expect 2-3 for Mills
  19. There’s no way they get someone better than him this year. We’ve already won that swap.
  20. 13.6 in the second half! Unbelievable stuff, would’ve been an absolute flogging if we kicked better in the first and they didn’t get some flukey ones. We dominated them all day and should’ve been further up at the half. Max really wanted to beat Grundy today, another huge effort from the big fella but Koz gets the 3 votes. Too quick, too good all day. AJ had the fumbles but managed to create a few goals by hitting bodies, reckon he stays in. Hopefully Lever’s ankle is ok, looked like he tweaked it late. Spargo out (concussion), Viney in (concussion).
  21. Bit surprised as most on here seem to be about TMac, thought they were resting him but he’s in the emergencies so suggests he’s dropped. With them only having 3 tallish forwards it’s probably a horses for courses situation.. If it’s an actual dropping I’m surprised they didn’t swing him forward for AJ but AJ probably gives better service in the ruck
  22. Definitely time for another pod, Gus & Gawny was great listening. Chin & Disco my nominations.
  23. Lever comes in, too good not to play, and I don’t think we’ll be resting anyone that doesn’t have a niggle as we try climbing the ladder. AJ stays in for mine, don’t want Disco or Petty getting hurt playing 2nd ruck. I’d say Sharp goes out for Lever and we shuffle a few around, maybe Windsor further up the ground. Wouldn’t mind seeing Culley in for Spargo, bigger body. I’d say his naming is a reward for doing the right things at Casey but he won’t come in for a few weeks.
  24. That’s not the jumper, that’s cos Melksham absolutely pantsed him
  25. AJ isn’t the greatest but he wants to compete which puts him ahead of some others. He was 4-5m behind that brisbane defender and made up the ground to kick an important goal, and his time in the ruck wasn’t bad. I think we keep him in.
