  1. Nope - but you can PM me.
  2. We'd be looking a fair bit better with the following very feasible outcome: 3: Hogan via MD2 (incentive to GWS to pass on Viney) 4: best available mid in the draft 13+ something: Caddy (incentive to GC to pass on Viney) 27: Viney Wellingham for Martin Byrnes via FA
  3. We did alright with the Scully compo and the Mitch Clark deal. I'm not as pessimistic. It depends on how bloody minded GWS and GC are.
  4. Yes it is a good deal - I agree with you - try to sell the club to Jacobs and try to do a proper deal with Port and if not take him in the PSD. Jurrah is a non-factor.
  5. Jurrah only has trade value if other clubs will take him and they won't. Port can take Jurrah with pick 100 in the Rookie draft. We'd have to use pick 3 in the PSD to take Jacobs. If we want a trade we'll have to offer something more equitable - otherwise they'll just say - go ahead draft him.
  6. Yes but I'm not so sure we've got GC on the ropes - maybe we have offered them 13 for Caddy and they're trying get us to up the ante. You can't blame them - that's what this whole thing is about - GWS and GC squeezing some incentive out of MFC not to bid. That way all 3 clubs win. The simplest deal with GC would be an overs-trade for Caddy. The all-round lose will be if a deal can't be struck and we're forced to take him at 3 - that'll be a negotiate failure by someone - and not necessarily us.
  7. I'll be a member of the club that Jack Viney is playing at next year, there's only 2 possible outcomes: 1. We take JV at 3 because GWS or GC forced us to 2. We take JV in the 2nd round because we've done a deal with GWS and/or GC
  8. Yeah in a tight industry I wouldn't burn my reputation for fair dealing if I was unable to deliver on my end of the contract - I'd come to an accommodation.

  10. I know enough about them - he'll either play next season on full whack or he'll retire and we'll come to an agreement with him to pay him less.
  11. No other club will be interested in him now - he's got two choices, front up for another Misson pre-season or retire now on half next year's contract.
  12. Dollars chatted to Ned - 'nuff said. nek minnit Ross is at Freo.
  13. They could just say we'll draft Jurrah and you can draft Jacobs - if we had a particularly good relationship with them then this trade might happen. But Jacobs would have to want to come only to us - unlikely, other Victorian teams could be in the frame - Geelong, Essendon, North etc., then ort may actually be able to get real trade value.
  14. won't be delisted while he's tradeable
  15. irony overload
  16. All roads lead to Rome
  17. Cloke is a restricted free agent - trade is not required.
  18. Cloke, Goddard head updated list of AFL free agents Cloke, Goddard, maybe Chaplin.
  19. And even if he does we're likely to get something in return that we can make useful because we're acting now.
  20. Right, I get it, it's Julia's fault that Ricky and Brent want out.
  21. That's a very good find, so ... 40 on primary list - no limit to "vets", each gets $100k discount on TPP 6 on rookie list That means a total of 46 like this year but one extra on the primary list and one less rookie for us. I'm going for 12 off total, including rookies - with some exchanging places between primary and rookie not counted.
  22. Was clearly a Neil Craig target.
  23. Well we won't die wondering like with Bate, Dunn, Miller etc on the list until they have no value. Cook and Gysberts shave trade value now and if we don't value them then we should access it.
  24. We can only hope he's got 3 or 4 suitors - means we might get a trade rather than just delist.
