  1. We could make it very awkward for them by offering GC pick 13 and matching Essendon's $s. We really just need to outbid other suitors and pick 13 outbids every team that finishes in the 8. If Caddy is fixed on returning to Victoria the alternative on the "get Viney in R2 plan" - we could offer GC pick 4 for Caddy and GWS pick 3 for mini-draft pick1 (Jack Martin) if they both pass on Viney. There's no way GC or GWS can do better than those deals. That effectively gives us Viney + Caddy in place of Viney + pick 25 - we're effectively getting Caddy for our 2nd rounder pick 25. Martin, Caddy, pick 13, Viney - that's not a bad deal.
  2. I think we'll win 3 maybe 4.
  3. I've heard that elswhere from good sources.
  4. I think Cale and Jack should go harder.
  5. I am going skiing on the weekend we play GWS away.
  6. It's not the word, it's the content. Hatchman made an analogy which IMO was just acceptable, if pushing the boundaries Topophilia's reply was very witty Your's, well ... unnecessary is the best description. Hope you get the drift.
  7. I'd suggest that it's vital to keep this kind of posting to a minimum and restrict it to this "special" thread.
  8. I'd be surprised if any of the players feel as bitterly towards Scully as we supporters do. Maybe he didn't get along with some players, maybe some will take the "culture" rejection personally, but I expect handshakes and smiles at the end of the match.
  9. after the exertions of the bye?
  10. I agree, Cale has improved this year and his article emphasised the reasons why. Neeld and co are working with him and it's a worthwhile exercise.
  11. Well he did post. Apparently Tom Couch should be playing for MFC.
  12. I'll pay good money to revive Demonology if that will be avoided.
  13. It would be great if Naitanui played for us, he's a marketing dream and he can play. I think Buddy has been really great for Hawthorn in this way. As someone posted - hopefuly Liam can get back on the park and firing and we can have our own excitement machine back. It's not just their playing impact it's their impact on supporters and potential younger supporters.
  14. Batrim, Batram - getting warmer ...
  15. He's been great back (except occasionally when outmarkedby 200cm ruck/fwds) but I like the idea of him forward. He can take a genuine contested mark and can compete with a couple in the air. He complements Clark better than anyone else on our list in this role at present and will either stop 2 or 3 flying against Clark or be one-out himself. He's more of a marking threat than Garland. We've probably got enough KPB options (Frawley, Sellar/Martin, McDonald, Watts, Garland) to allow him to move forward as Cook develops at Casey.
