  1. That’s how I have read it. Surely a process to a split board not so keen on Lyon will just be a humiliation for him. My question is if not Carlton - who would take Lyon given his perceived baggage from the alleged issue with the female staff member from Freo?? GC or bust.
  2. Might need to change the title of this thread to Welcome to Demonland - Carlton Schadenfreude. What are they doing? Seriously laughable. A sham process to get a coach who is now over the sham and know they are left with another untried? Or a Scott? It really is great but wow.

You equate any movement of players as ‘destroying culture’ - that is a straw man argument made so stupid of course you can shut down that view. Of course, players come in and out but you need to listen to the respect that McDonald and ANB talk about that was given to them by the club as we pushed them out. But players know when players are pushed and players want to go. Angus is the best teammate on the field with his selfless nature, the way he embraces his teammates and the way he embraces a role that he is not too personally keen on. We would have to be careful in trying to ‘upgrade’ anyone and especially when it comes to players that I would consider leaders in the group.
  4. She. Offers. Nothing. What the eff is up your you-know-what? Not a fan of what the board did to Bartlett? Seriously, get it out of your system. It’s done.
  5. Umm, they asked for 6. They want to send a message.
  6. That’s a good point, I should have said that I was not aware of the competition of which I won. I am fan of pedantry so I will allow this.
  7. Is this like a ghost limb situation? Muscle memory of what you usually do in September? Think of next years team after the disappointment of this year? Good god, man. Get a hold of yourself.
  8. You’re right, Nasher. It’s more ‘the odd occasion’…
  9. That’s where the FD was end of last year, so I hope you don’t get hammered but I am not going to entertain it while Tom is a chance to get us a flag.
  10. Unbeknownst to me, I won a playing jumper signed by the squad at the start of this year so I wouldn’t mind if we win - I will frame it and put it in the pool room. ”I wouldn’t mind if we win” … ”unbeknownst” … I am insufferable some times.
  11. Smith and Jackson would smoke him.
  12. They can't tease the appeal and then not bother. It isn't great that the AFL is going to distract from the build up to semis but this is news and clicks either way. 3 weeks is a poorly executed bump on a player - so if you are an umpire you are now just another person on the field, hated by all, blamed by nuffies for all issues, and fair effing game... I don't want to see Greene until Rd 6 next year.
  13. Why do I want Geelong? Because we have to end it. Fate is calling and it is time to pick up the phone, take a deep breath and just end this.
  14. Seemed aloof didn’t he??? Should have been more excited!!! Acted like a jaded teenager,,, I don’t know why we bother putting any effort in or even getting up in the morning!!?? He’s just gonna go back to GC when he’s any good… Ok, I lost the thread with that last one but you get the drift. And I say this every Olympic year but “…” is an ellipsis and can be used to assist in paraphrasing or to allude and the end of sentences. ”,,,” is nothing, means nothing and you should be ashamed if you ever use it. rp out
  15. I can see this happening. Jackson, Spargo, Kozi, Rivers, Sparrow, and Petty is enough of a young/inexperienced brigade for a prelim into a possible GF.
  16. We all need to let that go. Neeld, Schwab, gutnick, Ridley, whatever it is. Our history is ours and Lyon is a part in that. All can be a part of our new history.
  17. If you could define how Harris played as playing 'on' someone...
  18. I described him as a “bad [censored] assassin” in the post match. He was in 4th gear whenever he was near the footy and he was not only helping ANB, Kozi, and Spargo with the pressure he was the 4th member in the quarter of death that will bring us our flag (whenever that may be). My criticism of him was that when he doesn’t do that defensive work, his offensive has to compensate and he has to be elite of he is a liability. I doubt the message to him from the FD is much different tbh.
  19. And may they be shaken by lightning strikes, and beaten by aggressive bouncers. Amen.
  20. The ‘keep conceding’ was just a flourish to set up my larger punishment. All good. After the footage this morning- it should be fairly straightforward. We play a ragged Geelong in a fortnight. And we do what we did to the Hawks in 18. We end it.

Fritsch doesn't do what he did without Brown and TMac. He can be better but what did we have - 3 players lowering their colours? Do people not know that even when you're playing finals and are the best team - there will be those that struggle in games. The amount of time that will go into Oliver in the PF will be intense - he may work through it but he will also need the kind of support that Tommy's forward brethren gave him last night.
  22. Keep conceding... 6+ please and a fine and an extra massive suspended fine. And he can then apologise. He tried to intimidate an umpire while discussing another stupid decision that he himself made.
  23. ”I would stop hitting you if you showed me some respect!” terrible effing message
