I’m sure the AFL stepped in with Treloar, the CBA allows for grievances to be lodged but it sounds messy especially when so public.

Neither of those teams are good teams.

Hey so I know about all the points stuff (kinda went real deep just before Mahoney did his best work to get Oliver way back when) BUT... In no way does 12 = 26 + 33 Higher picks are worth more than two middling if you know what you are doing when drafting and recruiting. This points discussion amongst fans has got beyond cute - it’s now pretty dumb.

Good teams that are well coached are not put off by midfield depth. Like actually good depth as opposed to what some on here consider ‘depth’... If Goodwin can’t work it out, Adem Y should get a go late 2021. No time for screwing around - we have never had in my lifetime such midfield talent - to squander it or to trade it away because of ‘fit’ is absurd.

The split in football and list management is odd to me. If it was admin and footy split I can understand it better but list management and trading and management of the cap goes hand in hand with what the FD are thinking. I know they will talk to each other but where the buck stops is important and has endless implications. Isnt the end of the world, just don’t think it will last.

He’s a good player and depending on cost would bring him in. Also would be fine letting Collingwood sit and twist.
  10. Not traded yet and he is deciding to leave, so no correlation to Jackson’s intentions.
  11. And Weideman is better 1-1 and he will be able to get that more with Brown being the focus of defences. I also think W is better up the ground but yet to be seen
  12. I have my Phillips’ mixed up. Apologies to all! It’s not a good story. Good thing that doesn’t matter, amirite? And can people attending Caulfield Grammar in the last decade with the same name please be more conscious of their impact on the ill informed?
  13. Family are big Demon fans too. I am aware that doesn’t matter anymore - just a good story if it happens.

Would have been a handy role player. Oh well. No biggie.

[Anger over replacement level player being targeted to compete for spots because what else am I to do today]
  16. Happy we are not valuing ND65 over the fabric of the club. Progress. Some of you think like life is a video game, full of dispassionate decisions and inconsequential list changes...

His first challenge is to continue to get better with when he kicks and when he handballs. He struggles to punish the opposition with how much first use we get in the middle. I should watch tape of his mate CP5. I think he can be better ‘getting’ release hands from Viney and co. and doing something with his ability to find space to deliver. He’s still 1 dimensional in close ‘if I get it I will be doing all these things, if my teammate gets it... well off to the next contest where I can get it...’ That might be unfair but that is my opinion.
  18. Fritsch is a handy player with a few tools. He is nowhere near being ‘an A grader’. Makeshift FFs have to move to another position in good sides and he needs to adapt to a flank further up the ground and I am not confident he can do it and provide what he needs to provide defensively.

Would love Smith on a wing; confidently getting into space and making good decisions into the forward line.

    Meh
  21. Umm, we have some very good players. 3 star mids, the best ruckman in the game, one of the best FBs, the best CHBs, the best wingers... As much as the hand wringers would like to avoid this truth - we underperformed in two games this season and it cost us a chance to play a couple of finals. We should be amongst the better teams in 2021. Plus we overpaid T Mac and Tomlinson and there is the crunch.
  22. Do you reckon we are a chance on Saturday night? The bookies don’t see us as a realistic Premier this year... #believe

A well executed game plan the players believe in. Assuming our midfield is good enough. And it is.
