  1. What is the ace up the sleeve for both teams? The Pies will be aware we will counter their overlap in some may, as we showed this gameplan in the QB game. I don't think they will adjust their gameplan much, but De Goey will be a major in for the clearance work. He shredded us last year. I think our ace in the sleeve remains Clayton Oliver. If let off the chain he can accumulate massive numbers but I have been loving his defensive mid work and I think he may sacrifice his individual numbers to use his physicality and pressure around the stoppage.
  2. Schache is our place holder depth tall who is soft/skilled. Any other trades for tall forward/rucks need to make us immediately better and go straight into the 22. If we're recruiting for depth, I would prefer a much less skilled work horse Andrew Phillips/Cam Pederson type over a skilled soft player. Would probably be cheaper too.
  3. Max is such an impressive leader. To take responsibility in the Grawndy saga while Brodie has coped so much over it shows how he does not place himself above others within the club.
  4. Sam Hayes from Port and Tom Fullarton from Brissy are two young rucks I would be interested in picking up. Haven't seen much of them but they fit the profile we are looking for.
  5. Loved his first year with us, kicking freak one touch snaps in the goal square. Farewell Mitch.
  6. We do the opposite of midfield tagging, by having our extra player behind the ball to improve our intercepting. Pretty nuts we are no 1 for CPs while often being out numbered at the contest.
  7. Can replace Dunstan at casey, i'll pass
  8. Consistency is yet to be seen but Laurie may have a higher ceiling than Spargo
  9. Laurie vs Spargo. I am a huge fan of Spargs and have been a big defender of his, but I think Laurie may have his number. He is bigger, a more natural ball winner, has good ball use by foot going inside 50 and can extract out of packs.
  10. Bowey is a tough bugger, huge heart and courage
  11. AMW is so damn good I can't wait to see him in the 1sts. Huge credit to our nga and dev team.
  12. Good interceptor, tidy disposal and reads the play well. More of a lever type than a gorilla minder. Definitely suits a 3rd tall roll if Lever can do a bit more 1-1 defending.
  13. Goodwin will continue to state Brodie is a required player. Any suggestion we would be happy to push him out would immediately lower his value, as it did for Collingwood. I do believe internally we are happy to have him as a back up ruck for Max as we have no pressing cap issues. As such, if another contender wants to pull him out and/or Brodie requests a trade, we may be happy to facilitate, for a much more favourable price for us. 5D chess from Goody
  14. There is no way we acquire these players

  17. We need to beat them up around the ball, they are very very good at retaining possession
  18. This competition has been so so close. So many finals like games this year and so many games decided by a goal or less. Carlton are red hot right now and we lost by a fingertip. We're a huge chance this year but there are many other desperate teams too.
  19. I have a feeling they're managing his and Smith minutes. Smith needs game time to keep match fit while we want Hibbo in the 1sts in some way for the rest of the year.
  20. McVee stiff but that is an unreal crop of backman. Milera my favourite non-dee of the bunch. Super fun to watch.
  21. 6 Hunter 5 Petracca 4 ANB 3 Chandler 2 Max 1 Brayshaw
  22. Spargo is also a 2021 premiership player.
