  1. The lack of goals and goal assists are the biggest problem. The pressure numbers were fine against GWS, 13 pressure acts was the same as Henderson and better than Sharp, Trac and Rivers. Watching the game, there were several times he was gut running hard out of F50 to put on defensive pressure. We all know how good he can be, so there is high expectations but he is no Jack Watts. No need to slander a current or former player in this way.
  2. When so much of the game is determined by scores from the back half - just get it in there is a silly game style. Because you simply generate more opportunities for the opposition to score in transition from the back half. This issue has been massively compounded by the changes to the kick in rules.
  3. Xerri and Darling are also huge units, if we want to protect Gawn we should use another big body to match up against them
  4. Probably not, May, Lever, Petty TMAC is perfection Would I like to see it though? Absolutely, has great hands, super aggressive and a great left foot, bit of James Sicily about this possibility
  5. Out: AJ, Windsor, Howes In: Langford, TC/Disco, TMAC Sub: Woey/Billings. My gut feel is that Windsor misses, therefore Rivers moves into the backline and Langford will come in to take Rivers midfield minutes. Campbell comes into support Gawn against a very physical Xerri. Or, Roo takes on 2nd ruck duties for a week and Disco comes in. TMAC was exceptional and clearly a step above Howes, he should start for the rest of the year.
  6. I saw Fritsch gut running hard attempting to lay tackles, I don't think it's an effort issue. He just is in real bad form. He needs new tricks - he is not an aerial threat. Defenders know he wants to get space out the back. They know he favour's the left foot. He doesn't crumb off packs much either. At least if he plays up the ground we can use his field kicking, but his days as a deep forward are long gone atm.
  7. Smaller backline will help manage their speed forwards and mids
  8. Ya know... After seeing some outrageously high scores the last 2 weeks, a bit of boring contest and defence sounds quite alright. I'd love a classic 60 to 90 point win today 5/7 games with a score of 100 points
  9. I have no idea what anyone is worth, usually a key position player is worth more in a trade. But Jacko and Koz are quite unique players. Either way he's just the man we need for our Gawn succession plan.
  10. Good luck to Jed, hope he takes his chance. Likewise, AJ.
  11. This must surely be one of the largest international sponsors in the AFL. Massive acquisition will be incredibly important for increasing membership and attendance for the young kids.
  12. Looks to have good synergy already with the midfield group too, which is fantastic. It took Grundy along time to have that connection but TC appears to have it already.
  13. Midfield depth is so important, I hope we sign Culley and have George train on at Casey where can he build fitness and craft. Best of both worlds there imo.
  14. More so that he has signed for his contract but the management know he intends to be traded interstate at some point. He would've signed it knowing he was unlikely to be traded during thag time. Probably no coincidence it takes him to being a restricted free agent which still gives us leverage to get a decent trade. Looks like the club and koz are on the same page.
  15. We have a lot of players with serious running power now. Ed played well as a HF last year, the only problem was that we had to rely on someone NQR like Sparrow to take the wing role in his place. Now we have good winger options to free up Ed. I'm here for it. The run, pressure, link and work rate will be very handy.
  16. Marty is in seriously good shape this year as well. He looks exceptionally lean and is moving very well. Makes the occasional brain fade on game day but he is great depth.
  17. https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/bobby-hill-occ-2026.1391016/ He is indeed contracted to '26, good call. Still fits our timeline for a recruitment if we can hold out one more year before a Koz trade is done.
  18. If the Kozzy trade is likely, Bobby Hill is a great replacement. OOC at the Pies and looking for $$$ in his next deal, can we provide?
  19. Then don't, cheer for all. Have fun and enjoy the spectacle.
  20. Doth though yearn for thyne contest Sir Jefferson?
  21. It is time the league had transparency with player and coaching contracts. It probably never happen as too many clubs and players have a clear interest in keeping up the secrecy to keep dodgey practices.
  22. I think this mostly relates to the incredibly poor list management from Gold Coast. Geelong just took advantage. They were paying Lukoisus close to 1mil per year. No wonder other clubs have picked their eyes out when they make decisions like this.
  23. Probably the flagmantle Facebook page
  24. He would be amazing for any list but the trade cost would be immense. We should continue to target skilled mids and small forwards as it's our biggest need currently.
  25. Does anyone know who Cambell was competing against in the ruck battles?
