  1. It was not necessarily a new game plan. But we started the year with a very aggressive style, and as we struggled in games we became more conservative again. For instance, start of year/yesterday we embraced risk through use of the corridor. At the start of the year when we chipped around in D50, we looked to move ball into the centre square. During the middle part of the year, we played a lot more long down the line footy. Similarly, we largely abandoned the run and gun hand ball game from d50 which was also more on display here.
  2. He started the year playing as a pure midfielder. I think the idea was because of his size, throw him in at centre bounce. However, he didn't really excel in this role - no burst from stoppage and rushed his disposals. So they shifted him to wing/half forward and he was able to use his strengths a lot more, high work rate, aerial marking, and able to sneak forward to get a goal. We also had Lindsay performing very well on the wing for most of the year which made it harder for Jai to break into the team.
  3. 'Adding some recruiting experience' soubds a lot like a Tim Lamb replacement
  4. Fun game, we lacked composure and as usual we were punished by our poor disposal across the ground. I still loved seeing us take aggressive options in the corridor and the D50 scoring chains.
  5. Sparrow subbed, I like Chappy in charge
  6. Is Rivers starting all of our score launches? Massive 2nd quarter
  7. Everyone slipping over, not just Leb Scores from d50 going well
  8. Honestly dont care about turnovers, stoppages whatever We're playing aggressively through corridor, taking dangerous options Just want to see some free flowing footy today
  9. Run and gun through the corridor is fun
  10. Key defenders have very good market value still. Barass went for f1, f2, and f3. Battle got the saints pick 8 as free agent compensation. Apart of me wants to sell Lever/May - IMO the Bulldogs, Dons, Pies, Blues, North would be in the market for one. May's best years are over. His leadership style is questionable at best and he won't be here in the next flag tilt. IMO something like this would be interesting: Petty > Defence, Sell Lever and/or May, TMAC one year extension OR Petty > Defence, sell Lever, TMAC retires, retain May for his final year. There are no free agents like Perryman or Peatling available for recruitment and I think we need players in the 24-28 age bracket to compliment the younger brigade. We will need currency for these deals and our KPD stocks hold that value.
  11. Fullarton may have saved his career with this move to defence
  12. Did you watch the game?
  13. Just had a really valuable game for Casey today. 22 touches, 8 inside 50s, 6 tackles. Ran hard all day and showed good leadership too.
  14. Unreal!! What an absolute fight back and show of resilience from this team
  15. OH MY OH MY I SPEAK TOO SOON!!!
  16. So many chances gone astray, disappointing finish
  17. Kynan has some real momentum killing disposals
  18. Team goal starting from D50 keeps us in touch
  19. Kentfield is the truth, this kid is a serious talent
  20. Clunk and goal from Verrel, could be an interesting ruck/forward option in future
  21. It maybe an overly complicated solution, but we could have Bucks come in as a head coach for 1-2 years, and then have a transition plan to another coach such as Daly.
  22. Looked like brissy could've surged past us but Casey has done well to fight their way back into the quarter
  23. AJs kicking skills look much improved post surgery
  24. Massive 1st quarter from the boys Elite pressure causing real problems
