  1. Losing Jackson was still a win, he enabled us to win a premiership and allowed us to draft Windsor + more. We should continue to draft high end talent, wherever it comes from, retain what we can and moneyball what moves out.
  2. Got no mongrel
  3. Jai Culley perhaps? Former top mid-season draftee optimistic about receiving an AFL lifeline — SEN
  4. If you have an ounce of sense, you know to take this with a grain of salt. What isn't necessary is sniping at people simply providing information.
  5. B: Lever, May, McVee HB: Salem, Petty, Windsor C: Billings, Langford, Langdon HF: Rivers, Turner, Chandler F: Fritsch, van Rooyen, Petracca FOLL: Gawn, Oliver, Viney IC: Bowey, Sparrow, Sharp, Johnson S: Melksham/Kolt/McAdam/Brown Have a feeling Lindsay will need to build some form and fitness in the 2s as he will be contesting for some spots we have good depth in now at wing and HB. Sharp to come in as the running HF connector. Windsor and Bowey to rotate with Billings across HB and Wing. Langford and Trac to rotate as our power forward/midfielders. Rivers to rotate with Oliver/Vines as follower.
  6. Windsor may become a full-time half-back next year; however, both our wingers often roamed deep into the backline so it's not surprising he is training with the backline. I wonder what group Langdon mostly trains with, probably the mids. I think we will have to wait and see if XL, Bowey, Spargo etc join the same group as Langdon before declaring Windsor will play HB next year.
  7. We can't hide him forever, hopefully we find a way to get him on our list this year.
  8. Because the club has a commitment to supporting underfunded and under supported communities. Our community work is one pillar of our team culture.
  9. Absolute nightmare of a graphic, text is wonky as hell
  10. Windsor was splitting wing time with Billings often during the year
  11. It will be interesting to see him develop compared to Travaglia who brings a similar skill set but is probably a bit tougher defensively
  12. People have been crying out for a pick like this. The last 2 years we've taken punts on blokes like Schace, Fullarton and McAdam. Blokes with all the talent and no real grit. Reminds of Brody Miochek, good luck Aidan, hope he makes the most of the opportunity.
  13. Herald sun so i cant see the rest but the article summary is: Gippsland star out to prove a point in VFL return Recruiting has started to hot up around the VFL with Riley Baldi returning to Casey, while former Cats and Power forward Francis Evans has joined Carlton Codesports.com.au | Subscribe to Code Sports for exclusive stories
  14. Smith at 5 and Allan at 9.
  15. Disposal efficiency is not a good measure of effective kicking. It is a measure which is too easily skewed by clearances, kick-ins etc. A half back that kicks side ways would have very high DE% but minimal damage i.e., Salem A clearance midfielder that can be highly damaging with ball in hand may have a middling DE% i.e., Bont Meters gained in the back half, and score involvements in the forward half are the best metrics for effective ball use IMO
  16. Can see him becoming the Hawkins style tank who just toses skinnier ruckman and snaps goals when he is older.
  17. Very mixed year Petts, felt he was a square peg in a round hole this year. Pros + powerful marking up the ground + fitness base returned after major scare with recurring foot injuries + agressive competitor + Some synergy built with JVR and Turner Cons - forward craft - major goal kicking yips - confidence My hope for 2025 is that Jeffersen pushes him out of the forward line and he pushes TMAC out of the backline.
  18. They only celebrated our success to celebrate our downfall. Dees against the world.
  19. Has a history at the club being a Casey and AFLW coach
  20. We were only linked to Teague and Sloane, I don't think we had a great range of options to select from. Overall I'm pretty excited about the proposed direction from the club.
  21. Stagnated more than a pond full of mosquitos Young high-level draftees will quickly push him out of his HF role if he doesn't crack in next year
  22. The bloke is not a key forward, doesn't even crack 190cms. We have good depth for medium forwards. He is not the answer.
  23. Absolutely, eventually we will need to draft some replacement big body mids, but right now we need a Zak Butters type to compliment our current crop.
  24. He is above average in intercept possessions, he's a nick blakey type imo. Hybrid key defender and rebounder.
