I'd rather us try to attract mature age quality players to Casey's list, not ours. He is not AFL quality, and a lot of Casey's list is no VFL standard.

He definitely does have players in mind. Im confident we have targeted a player at 9, who will likely will be gone by 13 which is why we shifted our strategy to targets the dons pick instead of GCs. But like a good club we won't show our hand.

You'd probably take the punt on the larger body in andrew over the smaller Mentha, but I hope we make room for both, they both have great stories and lots of talent.

You need to break a few eggs to make an omlette. When we overpay we usually know have a very specific target. We also 'overpayed' for Kolt last year, but it doesn't seem to have impacted our plans this year. This means we pull x2 top 10 picks, Sharp and a rookie like Mentha. Sounds like a great haul to me.

I think we are looking for 2 gun mids. We have enough list spots dedicated to young talls with JVR, Jefferson, Turner, Verrel, Adams, Howes, Kentfield and Petty (who is 24 but looks 35). A good mix of high talent and rookie prospects. Comparatively, we only have Windsor and Rivers as elite young mid. Other young mids include Sparrow, Laurie, Taj - not great.
