Essendon Changes Clash Strip - what about us?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to GoodAsGawn's topic in Melbourne Demons
Worrying about clash jumpers is akin to taking an interest in two flys going up and down a wall. That being said, I liked the white clash strip we wore this year, -
The reason why Saty's reports were better than the one's this pre-season was that Saty actually spoke to players and was then able to relay the inside word to us. For example I remember him providing useful updates on Vince and Howe's hamstring injuries after talking to them.

And yet I bet we were all as excited back then about the 2013 season as much as we're excited about the 2016 season.

Pendlebury said What? about Jesse

55 would do for me. -
Don't hold your breath. If Richmond are from the Luke Hodge school of punishment he'll probably just get a $50 suspended fine.

A five week suspension would be handy from a Demon point of view.

I will be pleased with 9-11 wins next year. Will show that we're on the right track and hopefully would've beaten a mix of rubbish sides, middle of the road sides, taken a scalp or 2 of the top 6 sides and perhaps won a game or 2 interstate. Anything more is Disneyland stuff.

The TAB doesn't think we're going to do much next year. 6-7 wins with a projected finish of 16th.

I'm guessing your sauce is from Richmond. They tried to get Tyson from GWS and apparently grew up a Richmond supporter.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY
Bring-Back-Powell replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
I still can't get over the vision of him not making the distance from 35 metres out at a closed roof stadium - pies v dogs rd 17 this year. -
I can't see us jumping ahead of the Dogs anytime soon. They're midfield is scary good while ours has improved from being third world.

Training - Friday November 27, 2015
Bring-Back-Powell replied to tasmanlvr's topic in Melbourne Demons
A severe ankle sprain is 8-12 weeks according to Dr Google.I'm guessing torn ligaments and a severe ankle sprain are a similar injury. 10 weeks would have him fully training about late Jan??- 47 replies

Agreed.Howe's intercept marking will be missed. He'd be clearly best 22 but his attitude stunk this year for us.
-
The fact that Garland received a 3 year extension would suggest to me that he's locked in the best 22 for next year.Had he only received a 1 year deal, then he'd probably just be considered depth like Grimes.
-
I'd be happy with this outcome. We need to add to our midfield so would prefer Parish or Oliver over Francis.

Was that the video where Lamumba nominated himself as the player to look out for in 2016?
-
I doubt he'll get 2 years suspension if it's his first offence.

2015 Player Review - # 36 Jeff Garlett
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
He has 4 months to recover until round 1, so surely nothing to worry about. Anyone know what his contract status and whether the club and he would be interested in signing a long term contract? -
THE SAGA CONTINUES - WADA APPEALS
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I hope they cop nothing as I want Melksham available for round 1. -
If Terlich survives, I'm going to make a bold prediction that he'll hit a rich veign of form and play 10 or 11 games for the club next year. He'd be a half decent small defender if he didn't turn the thing over every second possession.

Agree with you.The 9000 'genuine die-hard' Melbourne supporters that bothered to turn up to a venue that's a whopping 3 kilometres away from the MCG, were treated to a well overdue and enjoyable upset win over GWS. I can understand Melbourne members not turning up to see their side play an away game at Etihad, but a home game...seriously...

Our home game fixtures (excl NT games) are actually commercially better than last year and we should get an overall higher aggregate crowd figure. It helps immensely to be hosting Richmond and Hawthorn and not hosting GWS at Etihad. 2015 home crowds: GC - 27,000 Freo -23,000 Sydney - 27,000 WB - 29,000 Collingwood - 66,000 Brisbane - 25,000 St Kilda - 23,000 North - 30,000 GWS - 9,000 (Etihad) TOTAL = 259,000 2016 budgeted home crowds: GWS - 20,000 Richmond - 55,000 St Kilda - 22,000 (Eithad) WB - 31,000 Collingwood - 65,000 Adelaide - 22,000 GC - 18,000 Haw -35,000 Brisbane - 24,000 Total = 292,000
