Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Not sure he's as good as Rance but may have Damien Gaspar, Tom Gillies and James Seller covered.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
And those same fans will be screaming for 2 top 5 picks for Lever.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
If we traded Petracca for Lever and Lever ends up having the better career and we also retain our picks, then we'd win on that trade right?

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
On the Sunday footy show, Barrett supremely confident we'll get Lever but it's going to cost us big time and we're not just talking salary cap.

You what?

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
JKH for Lever. Hopefully Adelaide can throw in a sweetener to seal the deal.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Well Carlton were willing to offer JFK a 3 year contract either last year or the year before, so perhaps Carlton will eventually get their man.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Could Dom Tyson be in the mix here? Crows need more midfield options - albeit one that doesn't turn the ball over as much. And as others have mentioned, ANB could be a sweetener to a first round draft pick. Has he even signed for us next year?

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Indeed we were the away side in 06. However my post was that we haven't beaten North as the away team on a Saturday since 1991. yeah I know, I'm being a bit silly with these random useless facts.

Spot on.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Here's another zinger: Melbourne have beaten North Melbourne as the away side twice since 1991. 1997 and 2006. EDIT - We also beat them in 2005 up in Manuka as the away side.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
We haven't beaten North in an away game on a Saturday since 1991. That day Jako kicked 11.8. I doubt half of the people on this forum were born back then.

We've never beaten West Coast at night in Perth.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Before last Sunday, the last time we beat the Dogs at Etihad as an away game was round 2 2005. And it was the first time we beat them at Etihad on a Sunday as the away team since round 22 2001 (We did beat them on a Sunday as the home team in round 16 2004).

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
I'd say Brent Harvey has had a fair bit to do with that. Last year he kicked 6 against us and in 2015 he was the difference as well. Waite and Higgins are the danger men this week.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Very good point, except in 2001 we finished higher than North.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
In fairness we match up terribly against Carlton. They always seem to grow a leg against us, particularly in our improved years of 15,16 and round 2 this year.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
We have to go all the way back to 2016, when we were 4-4 with a percentage of 106.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
We've never beaten North in a home and away game on a Sunday as the home side....EVER! Infact we're 0-9. We played them on a Sunday as the home side in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2014 and 2015 and lost them all.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
I reckon we smashed some hoodoos on the weekend: The first time we beat Adelaide on a Saturday night since round 2 2001 (when Leoncelli kicked that goal on the siren) The first time we've won a round 8 game since 2006 (Vs Hawthorn)

If Brayshaw doesn't kick on this year, perhaps we could throw him in the mix. Crows need mids.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
McCartin's going to be a very special player. Time will tell who will end up having the better career. Saints made the right move as Riewoldt isn't going to be there forever. He was nearly done last week.
