Changes vs Saints
I agree. I also think he's gotten ahead of himself. I get the impression he thinks/knows he's an A grader that will soon become elite, while in reality he's overall output is that of a B grader so far. For example, he's missed far too many shots for goal this year. I like what he's produced so far, but do think he's overrated in context to his performances, especially to start this season. I remember a host on either SEN or 3AW mentioned that Petracca was aiming to be a Hall of Fame player. That pricked my ears. Lastly, I can't believe I'm saying this but I feel Salem is a bigger loss than Petracca (assuming he doesn't get up this week) for the time being. We'll miss Salem's solid ball use while Petracca's can be a bit hit and miss.

Mitch Hannan is our Special Guest on the Demonland Podcast 2/5 @ 8:30pm
I recall him being interviewed very early last season after only a couple of games. Seems like a really switched on bloke. Hopefully he can play many more games like last Sunday. He's a seriously quick thinker on the footy.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
One of the more impressively debuts I’ve seen from an MFC player. He reminds me of Gary Moorcroft with respect to his size and position.

Salem to miss Saints
I don't think Petracca will return this week. Sounds like it's too much of a risk to go from being hospitalized one week to playing an AFL game the next.

Tom McDonald - Ready to Re-sign?
He was interviewed on SEN last night and stated that he pulled up extremely sore from the game. Hopefully just general soreness.

Injury List - Season 2018
And hopefully Steve May misses more than the 1 week.

Changes vs Saints
With news of Salem out, Petracca still sidelined and Hogan in doubt, selection is awfully difficult next week. Tim Smith or Pedo to replace Hogan. But who replaces Salem??

Petracca to miss again?
A few blokes down this week. Petracca, Salem and possibly Hogan. Massive danger game v's the Saints.

Dom Tyson
He's a good (certainly not great) player but he doesn't play like a pick 3, which is where GWS took him in the draft.

Changes vs Saints
Possible broken thumb. Had scans yesterday and Nathan Jones couldn't elaborate any further, when interviewed on SEN this morning. I'm no doc but a broken thumb is multiple weeks on the sidelines, is it not?

Goodwin says Viney & TMac out for 6-8 Weeks
We have to somehow win 3 of the next 4, and then Viney should be back by then.

New Start time for Grand Final
5:15 start is my tip. They apparently want the half time entertainment to be completely dark.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 6
I don't think you're the only MFC supporter that doesn't want to go this week. If last year's game was any indication, there's going to be a very small Demon turnout on Sunday. Hopefully a lot of EFC supporters don't go either and the crowd will be as low as 20K (not out problem, not our home game!).

Which Jumper are we Wearing?
Oh really. I was clinging on to the hope that they would. Bugger.
-
Which Jumper are we Wearing?
The MCC has requested we play Carlton and Essendon as away games at the MCG in order to play more MCG games in a given year. The trouble is the last 2 years the AFL have scheduled our Essendon away game at Etihad.

How do we get back in the Draft - R1
Out of the above list I'd have a nibble at Menzel.

How do we get back in the Draft - R1
By trading Hogan to WA. Pure and simple. Petracca and Oliver are our only other commodities that would be worth a first rounder but they are under contract for 3 or so years each. Gawn and Viney are also worth first rounders but both players will play out their careers at MFC.

If we lose to Essendon
Amazingly if we lose to Essendon and St Kilda, but then fall over the line with poor wins over GC and Carlton we'll be 4-5 and in the exact same position as after last year's round 9.

Alex Neal-Bullen - AFL top 10 in distance covered in game
He's playing like the ANB of circa 2016. The version we didn't like.
