  1. Both Curnow boys sent directly to the tribunal for intentionally touching an umpire. Ed will certainly be suspended, but I didn't see the Charlie one. Charlie starred against us last year in the second encounter.
  2. Petracca is in poor form. A week at Casey won’t hurt.
  3. I hope Mrs Oliver doesn’t mind me mentioning this but I bumped into her and Clarry’s Dad, at a pub across the road from the Gabba before the game. An absolute bubbly and engaging lady she is. All she wanted today was to see a Dee win In his under 18 year, he switched TAC clubs because his initial coach simply didn’t rate him and said to him “You’re not good enough to play AFL”. He changed clubs and the rest is history. Apparently we were heavily considering Parish and Francis but we landed on the great man! Clarry would’ve been happy to be taken in the 50’s. Mr Oliver is a diehard Hawks supporter but was wearing the Demon attire today. Perhaps seeing Clarry holding the cup might make him a Dee for life!
  4. Who do we hope wins? 1) Always nice to see Hawks lose. 2 a) if Sydney lose we go ahead of them if we win 2 b) Sydney have a soft 4 weeks coming up so they’ll be hanging around top 4 by late June even if they lose 2nite. IMO Sydney will win.
  5. Epic crowd of about 25k for Friday night footy

Collingwood are certainties to make the 8. Their remaining fixture is a joke.
  7. Whateley’s the least of the media’s problems.
  8. Interesting that Hawthorn have also played St Kilda and Essendon the last 2 weeks, and we’ve actually won both games by more than Hawthorn. And yet the media were raving about both of the Hawks wins, particularly the St KIlda win.
  9. And importantly which establishment do all the local Dee fans celebrate (or commiserate) at after the game? Pineapple? Woolongabba Hotel? Australian National?
  10. He does play well against us. The one game he missed against us (rd 1 2017), we beat them.
  11. It might actually work the other way. He'll go out of his way to not look after St Kilda so he's not seen to be bias. But the actual answer is no.
  12. He's actually played a couple of stinkers v's the Saints. 2015 - 7 possessions 1 goal - MCG loss 2016 - 10 possessions 1 goal - Etihad loss Granted the other 3 games he played against St Kilda he averaged 5. It's the Lions he has complete ownership of.
  13. I agree. I also think he's gotten ahead of himself. I get the impression he thinks/knows he's an A grader that will soon become elite, while in reality he's overall output is that of a B grader so far. For example, he's missed far too many shots for goal this year. I like what he's produced so far, but do think he's overrated in context to his performances, especially to start this season. I remember a host on either SEN or 3AW mentioned that Petracca was aiming to be a Hall of Fame player. That pricked my ears. Lastly, I can't believe I'm saying this but I feel Salem is a bigger loss than Petracca (assuming he doesn't get up this week) for the time being. We'll miss Salem's solid ball use while Petracca's can be a bit hit and miss.
  14. I thought his last 2 games V's Essendon and Richmond have been good. Taken a couple of his trademark intercepting marks and looking more like the Lever of 2016-2017.
  15. I recall him being interviewed very early last season after only a couple of games. Seems like a really switched on bloke. Hopefully he can play many more games like last Sunday. He's a seriously quick thinker on the footy.
  16. One of the more impressively debuts I’ve seen from an MFC player. He reminds me of Gary Moorcroft with respect to his size and position.
  17. I don't think Petracca will return this week. Sounds like it's too much of a risk to go from being hospitalized one week to playing an AFL game the next.
  18. He was interviewed on SEN last night and stated that he pulled up extremely sore from the game. Hopefully just general soreness.
  19. And hopefully Steve May misses more than the 1 week.
  20. With news of Salem out, Petracca still sidelined and Hogan in doubt, selection is awfully difficult next week. Tim Smith or Pedo to replace Hogan. But who replaces Salem??
  21. A few blokes down this week. Petracca, Salem and possibly Hogan. Massive danger game v's the Saints.
  22. He's a good (certainly not great) player but he doesn't play like a pick 3, which is where GWS took him in the draft.
  23. Possible broken thumb. Had scans yesterday and Nathan Jones couldn't elaborate any further, when interviewed on SEN this morning. I'm no doc but a broken thumb is multiple weeks on the sidelines, is it not?
  24. Had another 10 possession 46 fantasy point game vs Norf. He’s shooting the lights out at Port....
  25. Fritsch is a class act.
