GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Sydney
Doesn't surprise me. Most players get up the following week with non-serious ankle injuries

Can we make it back from here? When do we call our season cooked?
We're cooked if we lose tonight. Even if we scrap a win over St Kilda, we'll be outclassed by Richmond (who may have Cotchin and Jack back) and then be 1-5. Nobody's coming back from 1-5...yeah I know Sydney did it at 0-6 but that's a once in a life time occurrence.

Dustin Martin suspension downgraded to one week
At least by Martin playing against Sydney there's a 1% chance he'll re-offend and cop another suspension or get injured, and miss Anzac Eve. Clutching at the shortest straw possible....

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Sydney
Hopefully that is offset/mitigated by Sydney's 5 day break.

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Sydney
Excuse of the week by the club - "we had back to back 6 day breaks".

Changes vs Swans R4
It's bizarre in that Tom Morris from 3AW specifically stated that the AFL will play the game at the SCG regardless of how dangerous the turf is, as they don't have a contingency plan. Hard to believe it in this day in age of OH&S.

The Need for Outside Midfielders
Anyone know what happened to Viney’s burst out of the packs which has been his trade mark over the years?
-
Jack Martin
Would be up there in the Brownlow with 4-6 votes thus far.

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Sydney
That’s a horrifying stat considering Buddy hasn’t exactly been around for 5 minutes. We beat Hawthorn in Buddy’s second year but he didn’t play that night.

Injury List - Season 2019
It's not good enough is it.

Opposition Watch: Rd 4 vs Sydney
Tom Morris (3AW) confirmed that the game will go ahead even if the stadium is deemed unsafe, because they don’t have a contingency plan. Could’ve sworn GWS play at another stadium in Sydney....

Dees honesty session.
I thought KK showed a bit in the last qtr. Worth persisting with. ANB on the other hand- has to be dropped for that weak marking attempt when the heat was on in the 3rd qtr. That and he’s been pathetic for the first 3 games, plus the 3 pre season games.

Sam Weideman + contract
And I’d look at playing Oscar McDonald as a small forward this week.

Opposition Watch: Rd 4 vs Sydney
Certainly is. Massive amount of leadership lost for there for the Swans.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
GC are miles fitter and miles more prepared for the season than us. Went to both games this weekend (Melb V Ess & WB V GC) and the comparison in fitness, determination and hunger was stark between GC and us.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Me too. After an exhilarating 1994 finals series, ending in a prelim loss to WCE (sound familiar!) we ended up losing our first 6 games. Then we rallied to win 9 of our next 11, only to bomb out in the final 5 weeks. Wouldn't be surprised if our 2019 season kind of follows that path.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
If, and it's big if we can get 20 games a year out of Lever for the rest of his career, then this trade might look ok. Lever's a high quality player.
-
Jordan Lewis
When's he due back? Sydney, St Kilda or Richmond?
-
POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Is it true that the McDonald brothers combined for a grand total of 1 mark between them in perfectly dry conditions?
-
Changes vs Swans R4
T Mac’s averaging 3 marks and 0.3 goals a game this season. Absolutely pathetic stats from our so called premier forward.

ROUND 4 2006 - Melbourne v Sydney at the SCG
The difference between now and then is that in round 3 2006 we went up to Gold Coast to play the eventual minor premiers in Adelaide and put in a very meritorious 5 point loss (Davey hit the post on the death). It turned out to be a season turning performance. This year’s first 3 rounds have been a pure disgrace. Trying to point to positives in a loss to a 20 goal Essendon is akin to putting lipstick on a bush pig.

Round 3 Non MFC games
Last year we lead by 75 points against GC in the second qtr. hate to think what the result would be today if we played them. GC have inproved out of sight since May had left them.

Our Recruiting.
No he’s not. Was a key component of the Dogs 2016 flag.

Gary Pert?
Off to an awesome start under our new CEO.

Crystal Ball 2019: Predictions for next season
Probably the wrong time to ask as everyone’s emotionally charged and upset, but how many game do you all think we’ll win after our disastrous start? I’ll get the ball rolling with 7 wins after a horrid 1-10 or 2-9 first half. The club does not resemble anything of last year and is missing some handy personnel. Lever and May will hopefully fix our defence in July and August but it will be too late.
