Thanks Jeffy
That's most unlike Demonland.

Thanks Jeffy
They rate C Wagner over Garlett ??!!!!??? Really.... Garlett was an outstanding acquisition considering the little we gave up for him, and provided some great entertainment over his 5 seasons at the club.

2019 - Positives
Salem played too many poor games after round 15 to make this list.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Yes it's a bit unfair but I can't believe it's gotten to the point we're upset we're getting pick 3 instead of pick 2. Those days should be well and truly behind us. The days of relying for help from the AFL (ie. getting pick 3 as compo for losing Frawley) should be well and truly behind us.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Josh Schache was the clear number 2 pick in 2015 who’s developed into a 1 goal a game key forward that spends time in the Footscray magoos each year. Can Rowell and Anderson transfer their under 18’s dominance from U 18’s to AFL?

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
I had Josh Kelly on my mind but didn’t want to mention him as that would’ve contradicted my comment. An absolute gun at pick 2.

Jamie Elliott
Too injury prone and we have enough of them.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
He goes very well. But in 5-10 years will he be the best player from that draft? The absolute super star generational talents such as Buddy, Fyfe, Danger, Judd, Dustin Martin and others were not top 2 picks.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Whatever. Q) What do Fyfe, T Kelly, Dangerfield, P Cripps, Bontempelli, Grundy, Gawn, Neale and Dusty Martin have in common? A) Blokes that are dominating 2019 and are at the absolute top of their game, and none of them were top 2 picks. The eventual best player of this draft won’t be picks 1 or 2.

Review One player at a time
Bayley Fritsch: Looked comfortable and at home as a defender. But was then inexplicably thrown forward late in the year and looked like a fish out of water.

My 3 word player analysis V North
Salem's form after about the Brisbane game has been absolutely atrocious and he deserves to be dropped if there was a game next week. He's lot his crisp disposal, and if he doesn't have that I'm not sure what he offers? He also dramatically lost his form in late 2017.

Bring Jack Home
Ironically he's the exact player we're screaming out for. That last kick into the forward 50.

We'll Have To Keep Garlett
I assume those that are in a hurry to get rid of Garlett are happy with C Wagner as our number 1 small forward in round 1 2020...

My 3 word end of year analysis
Sam Frost - Must be re-signed.

My 3 word end of year analysis
T Mac was very disappointing in the first half of the year but I feel this assessment would’ve been different had he not got injured. In 2 of the last 3 games he played, he had a direct influence on our wins vs Freo and Carlton and appeared to be on an upward trajectory.

What gives you hope for next season?
The loss of T Mac was absolutely shattering in a season that was bent but not yet broken. We were showing genuine improvement when T Mac finally hit form against Freo and he was a genuine match winner vs Carlton. How many players can kick 6 goals in 3 qtrs of footy these days? We could’ve won some of those close losses between rounds 17-19. That’s why T Mac’s return to the side gives me hope.

What gives you hope for next season?
What part of: 1) being 6 points up against West Coast at 3 qtr time 2) being 8 points down with a couple of minutes left against an unconvincing Dogs who couldn’t put us away 3) being 3 points up against St Kilda with 10 minutes left... meant we were always going to lose those games??? We were every bloody chance of winning those games. Next year, our hopeful and anticipated improved fitness and accuracy will hopefully see us win those games. Not to mention we kicked ourselves out of the WC (rd 9) and Adelaide games.
