PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
No. And the AFL integrity unit will be investigating every fan that boos Scully.

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Birchall (who hasn't played in years), Frawley and Mitchell. Hawks supporter have been banging on about how injury ravaged they've been but they're not far off full strength. No excuses for them.

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
On the flip side, a dominant game in the VFL may increase his confidence.

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
They did this in Garlett's MFC debut Vs Gold Coast in 2015 and it provided good results. Then they barely bothered with it again.

Jayden Hunt Injured?
And the St Kilda game. Has averaged 10 possessions over the last 2 weeks. Has given us nothing as a small forward after a promising fortnight against Sydney and Essendon. Will be VFL bound soon if he doesn't lift.

Each week, we're actually getting worse
Looking back, the Essendon game wasn’t too bad compared to the rest of the slop we’ve dished up (besides Sydney).

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
According to Goody, T Mac to return to the fwd line. I suspect his brother will come back in to play defence while Weed (who’s been putrid the last fortnight) to be dropped. Not sure if a T Mac, Weed and T Smith forward line would function??

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
For those that believe in past history: Round 1 - Richmond beat Carlton by 33 points. Lose to Collingwood by 44 points the week after. Round 2 - Port beat Carlton by 16 points. Lose to Brisbane by 17 points the week after. Round 3 - Sydney beat Carlton by 19 points. Lose to Melbourne by 22 points the week after. Round 4 - GC beat Carlton by 2 points. Lose to Adelaide by 73 points the week after. Round 5 - Bulldogs lose to Carlton by 44 points. Lose to Freo by 19 points. Round 6 - Hawthorn beat Carlton by 5 points.

Gary Pert
Because it's on-trend to provide coaches with security. Richmond and Collingwood (rightly) showed incredible faith in their coaches and now other clubs (rightly or wrongly) are following the leader on that one. 2018 was the first year in decades I believe where a coach wasn't fired despite some seriously under performing coaches in Richardson, Bolton and Lyon.

It’s just a coincidence that we’re playing 2013 Melbourne football as soon as Jackson left the joint...right?

Injury List - Season 2019
And this is why I think our win/loss tally is going to be minuscule this year - like 3 or 4. The club will put players into July/August surgeries so they’re back for the start of the pre season. They also won’t bother with May or Vanders and maybe even Lever and Jetta. They may also call time on Viney at some stage. So we’ll be playing half a VFL side in the second half of the year and a win will be most unlikely. All in the pursuit of setting ourselves up for the best pre season possible. I could be wrong but i just see us being ultra conservative now that our season is likely shot.

Pink Lady Game - have we ever won one of these?
Good memory. Yes we certainly did win that round 7 game to go 5-2 and on our way to second on the ladder after round 12. Then in typical MFC style we fell off the rails after that.

Pink Lady Game - have we ever won one of these?
Belongs in the horrible records thread. We haven't won a game in this event.
-
What if .......?
Strongly agree with that. A pity he can't do anything else anymore aside from a set shot for goal which he's still brilliant at.

Welcome Back to the Bottom of the Ladder
If we win 0 or 1 game at our home ground in 2019, then that's a complete indictment on the senior coach. he has to totally overhaul the game plan if he wants to last more than 2 more years in the gig. Once you're sacked, you don't get another chance at this caper.

Welcome Back to the Bottom of the Ladder
It scares me too that I can't see where our next win is coming from. We ain't beating Hawthorn this week in our current state. I honestly think we're a sniff against Gold Coast next week and possibly Carlton in round 16 and Bulldogs in in round 17 if both sides aren't mentally switched on. I think there will be a tipping point (in terms of coaching or staff movements) if we can't beat Gold Coast, the team we were leading 77-6, ten minutes into the second quarter in round 19 last year.

What if .......?
He WAS taken off the ground. Did a fitness test on the boundary line, looked in agony, so obviously we sent him back onto the ground in a meaningless game.

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
We said the same thing about St Kilda coming off a brutal game (V Hawks) on a 6 day break compared to our 9 day break and look how well that turned out for us.

Sauce? Can't find that confirmed anywhere.

Garry Lyon Highlights video
Has the obligatory "We're in crisis, let's give Garry a phone call" occurred yet?

Round 6 Non MFC games
What are the implications if we lose to both Hawthorn and Gold Coast?
-
Sack everyone (mega-thread)
If we get done by Gold Coast in 2 weeks, who will likely have come off back to back to back 50+ point losses and were touted to win about 2 games this year, then surely someone’s going to cop a bullet - Ala Neeld for the Dons last year.
-
Who will the Demons target next?
We like to trade first rounders for defenders so I’m expecting us to trade our pick 2 for an out of favour Lachie Henderson from Geelong.
-
Four days off
Surely May doesn’t get the 4 days off - he apparently had long enough in the off season.
-
Jon Patton
Hawks will probably get Patton for an 8th rd draft pick and then demand a sweetener from GWS.
