  1. It might actually work the other way. He'll go out of his way to not look after St Kilda so he's not seen to be bias. But the actual answer is no.
  2. He's actually played a couple of stinkers v's the Saints. 2015 - 7 possessions 1 goal - MCG loss 2016 - 10 possessions 1 goal - Etihad loss Granted the other 3 games he played against St Kilda he averaged 5. It's the Lions he has complete ownership of.
  3. I agree. I also think he's gotten ahead of himself. I get the impression he thinks/knows he's an A grader that will soon become elite, while in reality he's overall output is that of a B grader so far. For example, he's missed far too many shots for goal this year. I like what he's produced so far, but do think he's overrated in context to his performances, especially to start this season. I remember a host on either SEN or 3AW mentioned that Petracca was aiming to be a Hall of Fame player. That pricked my ears. Lastly, I can't believe I'm saying this but I feel Salem is a bigger loss than Petracca (assuming he doesn't get up this week) for the time being. We'll miss Salem's solid ball use while Petracca's can be a bit hit and miss.
  4. I thought his last 2 games V's Essendon and Richmond have been good. Taken a couple of his trademark intercepting marks and looking more like the Lever of 2016-2017.
  5. I recall him being interviewed very early last season after only a couple of games. Seems like a really switched on bloke. Hopefully he can play many more games like last Sunday. He's a seriously quick thinker on the footy.
  6. One of the more impressively debuts I’ve seen from an MFC player. He reminds me of Gary Moorcroft with respect to his size and position.
  7. I don't think Petracca will return this week. Sounds like it's too much of a risk to go from being hospitalized one week to playing an AFL game the next.
  8. He was interviewed on SEN last night and stated that he pulled up extremely sore from the game. Hopefully just general soreness.
  9. And hopefully Steve May misses more than the 1 week.
  10. With news of Salem out, Petracca still sidelined and Hogan in doubt, selection is awfully difficult next week. Tim Smith or Pedo to replace Hogan. But who replaces Salem??
  11. A few blokes down this week. Petracca, Salem and possibly Hogan. Massive danger game v's the Saints.
  12. He's a good (certainly not great) player but he doesn't play like a pick 3, which is where GWS took him in the draft.
  13. Possible broken thumb. Had scans yesterday and Nathan Jones couldn't elaborate any further, when interviewed on SEN this morning. I'm no doc but a broken thumb is multiple weeks on the sidelines, is it not?
  14. Had another 10 possession 46 fantasy point game vs Norf. He’s shooting the lights out at Port....
  15. Stoked T Mac is back. But also surprised as he's only fully trained for 1 week or so. Will they play Hogan, Weid and T Mac up forward at the one time?
  16. We have to somehow win 3 of the next 4, and then Viney should be back by then.
  17. You know the season isn't quite going to plan when you're on the same line of betting as North Melbourne for the flag.
  18. 5:15 start is my tip. They apparently want the half time entertainment to be completely dark.
  19. I don't think you're the only MFC supporter that doesn't want to go this week. If last year's game was any indication, there's going to be a very small Demon turnout on Sunday. Hopefully a lot of EFC supporters don't go either and the crowd will be as low as 20K (not out problem, not our home game!).
  20. Oh really. I was clinging on to the hope that they would. Bugger.
  21. The MCC has requested we play Carlton and Essendon as away games at the MCG in order to play more MCG games in a given year. The trouble is the last 2 years the AFL have scheduled our Essendon away game at Etihad.
  22. Hopefully either the one on the left or the right. Not a fan of the royal blue.
  23. Out of the above list I'd have a nibble at Menzel.
  24. By trading Hogan to WA. Pure and simple. Petracca and Oliver are our only other commodities that would be worth a first rounder but they are under contract for 3 or so years each. Gawn and Viney are also worth first rounders but both players will play out their careers at MFC.
