  1. We haven't had a home game at Docklands since 2016.
  2. Be interesting to see how he goes against the top sides next year. It's all well and good to get a hold of the St Kildas and Gold Coasts of the comp, but my major criticism of him as a player is he can't mix it with the big boys. If he can address that, then he's a 75 goal a year player...sadly for us.
  3. Essendon and Port were the premiers and runners ups in last October's trade period. Both clubs were in Bali, Thailand, the US and Europe by September 1 2018.
  4. Knowing Peter Bell it would be Hogan and our future first rounder for Cerra.
  5. Agreed. I'm glad our current and potentially future elite players in Gawn, T Mac, Oliver, Brayshaw , Harmes, Petracca, Salem and Weideman are VIC blokes.
  6. You guys need to re-watch their shock win over Sydney. May was marking absolutely everything (14 marks) that day. The ball just wouldn't get past him. An elite defender's game.
  7. Marks per game in 2018 when comparing with the best defenders in the league: May - 7.5 McGovern - 7.0 Stewart - 6.0 Rance - 5.5
  8. In answer to the original question, yes.
  9. His major achievement of last season was hanging out with Ben Simmons and Lebron James in nightclubs, and boy did he let the world know about it. He followed up with a quite frankly mediocre 2018 season, with a couple of good games thrown in. Hopefully this off season he can replicate the efforts of players such as Gawn, Oliver and Salem who apparently all went above and beyond in their preparations this time last year.
  10. Oh Ok. So let me get this straight. You guys are all happy to let an All Australian caliber wingman (2017 40 man squad) go a fellow top 4 contender for a ham sandwich at the expense of filling one of our key needs which is outside run, carry, class and goal kicking. I guess we’ll all settle for JFk spudding up the MCG southern stand wing next year as most of you can’t build a bridge and get over an incident that happened 7 years ago.
  11. I'd be delighted if he came back and played on a wing. He would be massive step from Tyson, Jones and JFK who are as slow as slugs. Who cares what happened in 2011. Build a bridge and get over it.
  12. Mitch Cleary‏Verified account @cleary_mitch FollowFollow @cleary_mitch More Breaking - Fremantle has pulled out of race for Jesse Hogan @AFLcomau 9:18 PM - 11 Oct 2018
  13. Our club should be chasing Scully. Who would you rather? Tyson and Nathan Jones on a wing? Or this endurance beast? I don't care what happened in 2011. People need to get over it. An outside pacy and skillful winger is what we need and Scully fits the bill.
  14. Tipping we're getting one Thursday night game - West Coast V Melbourne in July at Optus. I think we'll also get 3 Friday night games - one home MCG blockbuster against a big drawing VIC side. An away Etihad game. And one interstate.
  15. True, he did have a crack that day. There were 3 categories that day: The 'had a crack' category - Harmes, VDB, Hibberd, Smith The horrid category - Frost, Weideman, Tyson, Spargo The rest -
  16. Is it just me or has he gotten progressively a little worse by the year since he came to MFC? He's gone from a star in the making in 2014 (11 brownlow votes, kicking 16.6) to a battler in 2018 (0 brownlow votes, kicking 2.6)
  17. Had a pretty good season.
  18. It's been speculated about 400K a year. Slightly above the average wage.
  19. Why on earth would Tyson agree to play at GC? He spent two years at GWS when they went 3-41. Then years later finally plays finals in his home town and is content with life. Only to be told he'll be playing for a 2 or 3 win Gold Coast side for the next couple of years.
  20. A good but not great year by Hibberd. Excellent finals campaign except for the last game. However, his form before his injury wasn't as good as last year.
  21. Absolutely not. It would be an absolute circus having him at the club. All he'd bring to the table is injuries, night club incidents etc....
  22. Typical millennials! Changing work places at the drop of a hat.
  23. I was dead against the Darwin game, but the facts are we beat a decent Port the week after in 2017, and then had a dominant second half against the Dogs this year. We’ve handled Darwin recovery with aplomb after 9 seasons up there.
  24. We beat the Dogs by 7 goals the week after Darwin, and then proceeded to win 7 of our last 10 games (which coincided with our best month of footy since 2000) Would’ve we done any better had we not played in Darwin?
