  1. Amazing he's found his way into the top 5. Mind you there is a massive gap between he and 4th placed Harmes.
  2. If we drop Preuss (and he absolutely deserves to be dropped after that performance) who plays that second ruck role assuming T Smith is unavailable?
  3. This post seems to have gone under the radar around here. Apparently he trained well and was border line for the Richmond??
  4. Dunkley’s set shots for goal were outstanding. Hats off to him.
  5. Maybe they need to enrol a few of the boys at Auskick to work on their skills?
  6. First time since about 2015 I’m going to a game 100% certain of a loss. How I’ve missed those days...
  7. Not sure it’s relevant to how crap we’re going but yes, he had or has a gambling issue. He also got in a drunken physical altercation with a photographer in December 2005.
  8. I think the boys need to get together over a pizza and a beer and watch the replay of our elimination final win over Geelong to see what we’re capable of as a footy side.
  9. Wow , I admire your persistence in sticking up for O Mac. I note that your completely disregarded the first paragraph of my post where I defended O Mac by stating that he was a serviceable/solid/sufficient defender in 2018, particularly at the business end of the year. Not many others around here would acknowledge that he was reasonable last year. He’s been sub par this year.
  10. Not sure mate as I'm not into the tactical side of footy but whatever's happening is not working. They go fast when they should go slow. They go slow when they should go fast They over posses en-route to goal.
  11. I agree O Mac was sufficient last year and did his job in the finals. (the West Coast final was a training drill which didn't constitute a final). However he hit rock bottom last week letting Josh Bruce (or was he on Membrey) running amok and that pathetic hanball to nobody which directly resulted in a St Kilda goal. There must be a reason. Does he feel insecure out there when T Mac doesn't play?
  12. Agree. He should be throwing this year's pathetic game plan in the bin and start working on a new one in time for next year if he wants to coach past 2020. The ANB botched handball to Fristch who should've been gifted an easy goal in the last quarter of last week sums up our cluster you know what of a game plan. Players are too nervous to have a shot and end up over possessing the thing.
  13. What's the bet JFK plays 4 blinding games to close out the season, earns himself another 2 years on the list and a step closer to MFC life membership with 48 games.
  14. They do call back back boundary thrown ins.
  15. I'm genuinely shocked he's kicked 21.12 this year considering his set shot woes in front of the sticks. If he can somehow kick 9 goals over the final 4 games, he'll have a 30 goal season under his belt which is a good effort for a fwd/mid.
  16. As i mentioned in the thread above, between rounds 6-11 of 2018, we were averaging a measly 62 points against per game and had a W/L record of 6-0 and Lever was playing good footy. Then in the next 3 weeks (after his ACL) we conceded 134 points against Collingwood and 117 points against St Kilda. The other game against Port was a defensive slog in which our forward line let us down. I would argue we had a cracking defence during that period just before he went down with his ACL. Having an underwhelming return to AFL I agree, but he still took 9 marks and some of them contested against the Saints.
  17. Lever has had a very ordinary return to senior footy after an ACL layover. He wouldn't be Robinson Cruso there in terms of players coming back from an ACL. However, he was playing very good footy prior to doing his ACL last year, particularly between rounds 6-10, and I can specifically remember DL going into meltdown when news of his ACL was confirmed. Our defence went from averaging 62 points during Lever's spike in form, to a 20/20 cricket score of 134 against the Pies, the week after he went down. He was also nominated in the All Australian squad of 40 in 2017. That's a very good sign right there. I'm not fussed how he finishes the year, however we are entitled to expect a very very good 2020 from Lever considering the investment we put into him.
  18. If Melksham, Hore and May return this week, surely it would be our strongest side of the year. T Mac, Weed, AVB and J Smith only missing.
  19. It was a pathetic performance considering the average opponent, but the Geelong round 2 loss was by far our worst performance.
  20. Wow, McKernan and Stringer celebrating goals like they’ve just won a flag. They’ll win tonight but it’s effectively a loss due to the percentage they should’ve picked up against GC.
  21. I think was just the Sydney win in rd 4.
  22. Bitterly sad to see a once in a generation ruckman carry this pathetic excuse of a footy side. 6) Gawn 5) Petracca 4) Harmes 3) Lever 2) Oliver 1) Frost
  23. Oliver can’t handle a tag and he’s clueless as a forward.

Champion Data ought to be embarrassed by that ranking. The second worst side in the league getting ranked 1st. Got a feeling we'll get skinned alive by the media if we lose this week and rightly so. And a few assistant coaches fates will be sealed as well. Losing to St Kilda twice in the one year would be a disgrace and an embarrassment.
