Jon Ralph indicated he would've been dropped regardless of being ill.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Bulldogs
And the fact that Geelong flogged St Kilda on a Monday and backed it up with another flogging over Port on the Friday. Geelong has ruined that excuse for everyone now.

Windy Hill 1990 A Famous Afternoon
12 months later at the same ground didn't end so well. The late S Clark had a set shot for goal after the siren with half the Essendon membership base on the ground to put him off. Alas he didn't make the distance and we lost by 6 points.

Really hoping shortened quarters are a once off.

Fixture 2020 (COVID Edition)
Surely given that cases are heading in the right direction and us learning from our fatal mistakes between the first and the second wave, we''ll have games with 25-50% capacity next year in Victoria, starting from March or April. Not June as Wilson is fear mongering. We can't just spend the rest of our lives locked up.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Bulldogs
Please no to Preuss and Gawn. It clearly didn't work last year and i can't see it working this week against a slick and fast Bulldogs unit. T Mac should be played as the key forward/second ruck because he has the forward craft that nether of the 2 big blokes posses. Choose out of Preuss or Gawn (if fit), and if they prefer Preuss, then Gawn plays in a scratch match.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Bulldogs
English or no English, they're pretty healthy at the moment. Just missing a few mid rangers in Dureya, Cordy, Suckling and possibly Crozier. They have all their guns in so it will be a genuinely satisfying win if we can knock them off.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Bulldogs
Dodge a bit of a bullet weather wise. 19 and sunny in Surfers on Saturday. We're going to be having a bunch of warm games coming up in Alice and Cairns so it's good to avoid yet another heat affected game this weekend.

THE RUN HOME 2020
As much as I hope we beat both Dogs and St Kilda, I think we can absolute afford to lose one of those games, as long as we take care of Sydney, Freo and Essendon who all should be done and dusted by the time we play them. We can then afford to lose to GWS and finish the season 10-7 with a good percentage and highly likely to play finals. Beat both the Dogs and Saints and we'd have to fall over ourselves to miss the finals. Lost to both the Dogs and Saints and I'd say it's curtains for us.

NON MFC: Round 12
Yep 2005 round 21 vs Bulldogs. Leoncelli in 2001 Vs Adelaide was probably a second left on the clock.
-
NON MFC: Round 12
I wouldnโt have thought the Weid shot would have made the above list (had he kicked the goal) as there was still a couple of seconds after his shot.

NON MFC: Round 12
Bombers getting flogged early. 8th place looking good at the conclusion of the round.

Michael Hibberdโs brother missing
Hibberdโs been outstanding this year considering the pain and suffering heโs gone through. His pace and kicking from D50 has been as good as itโs been since heโs been with the DEES. The true definition of a bounce back year. Well down Hibbo.

Angus Brayshaw
Brayshaw plays 80% in the centre or he doesnโt play IMO Heโs a midfielder by trade, and is ineffective on the wing or on the flanks. That is indisputable if 2019 and the first half of this season is anything to go by. If Goodwin and Co want to stuff him around in other positions, then itโs best we look at a trade that benefits the MFC.

TEAMS: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
I really liked Rivers game last week but he really struggled against good sides such as Richmond and Geelong earlier in the season. Iโm unsure whether heโd be able to back it up against a class unit in Collingwood. VDB is probably more of a hinderance than a help but we have a 4-2 record with him in the side, and lost the Bris and Port games in his absence. Iโve had a gut full of his reversal frees and 50 mtr Penalties. A win tomorrow and weโre a massive shake for finals given we have a bunch of ordinary sides such as Freo, Sydney and Essendon on the run home. A loss isnโt the end of the world and we can still manage 8 or 9 wins, but it would be another missed opportunity against the big boys.

The Secret Behind Petraccaโs โ[censored] Youโ Season
I got a sneaky feeling heโs too good a player at the moment to get sucked into media street. (now watch him battle for 8 possessions and 2 behinds tomorrow)

What they're saying down at Lulie Street
I stopped reading when some bloke said our last 6 games at the GABBA have been losses We won twice at the Gabba in 2018 by a combined total of about 100 points.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Iโm with you mate. Weโre 0/5 in big tests this year. Would be easily the clubs biggest and meaningful win since 2018.

Analysis of breaks: Thu Sep 3 - Sydney (5 day break) V Melbourne ( 5 day break) Mon Sep 7 - Melbourne (4 day break) V Fremantle (5 day break) Sat Sep 12 - GWS ( 4 day break) V Melbourne (5 day break) Swings and roundabouts I guess.

The Goal Kicking Accuracy Ladder
So much better than last year where we'd have more scoring shots and inside 50's but lose the game. The Richmond, Hawthorn and GC games were very good in the accuracy department. We've only let ourselves down twice this year - the Geelong and Port games with the former being a direct factor in losing the game. Brisbane need to sort out their accuracy issues or they'll be facing another early exit.
