I hope there's an element of truth in that.

I actually think he's what we need. One of the best contested marks in the league and would add critical depth to our forward line. We can't have a repeat of the second Sydney game where we literally ran out of key forwards.
  3. I like him when he's up and going but only averages 12 games a year via form and injury. Fourth rounder at most as he's never strung more than 19 games a year.
  4. I blame Jones for the 90 seconds of happiness I could’ve had after the North game.
  5. Don't worry, Scott's got a contract for life on the back of the 2011 flag.
  6. As long as none of the VIC clubs don't win it I'm happy. Would be happy if GWS won it as nobody would even care or notice. Would probably rate a brief mention/paragraph in the Daily Telegraph near the racing form guide. From a purely footy perspective the final 3 games of the weekend look like tasty match ups, particularly the Brisbane V Richmond game. I'm surprised many in this thread don't care about the finals. Yes, we're not in it but I thought we all loved the game of footy and would be tuning in to see high quality football at the business end.
  7. Hopefully the Wagner brothers and JFK.
  8. Yep great idea. Let’s trade the player that was solely responsible for our last 2 wins of the year.

Where do we sign for Finalyson?
  10. So by your measurement he's worth a 3rd rounder considering your continued denigration of him. Certainly wouldn't bet a mid teens pick that you suggested. Therefore I can't see the point in trading him.
  11. Not enough return IMO. Pick 5 or a regular starter in the All Australian for Petracca. I'm not interested in making other clubs better by trading away our assets. And for comparisons sake, the best player in the AFL in my opinion (Dusty) averaged 24 touches and kicked 23 goals in his fourth season. Petracca averaged 19 touches and kicked 22 goals (this year) in his fourth season and probably spent less minutes on the ball than DM.
  12. Not against him playing on. With Lewis gone (which I'm disappointed about), you need some old heads to steady the ship (putting aside the last minute shambles against North)
  13. Fritsch actually reminds me of Brad Green. Both lovely left footers.
  14. He came third in the 2018 Brownlow because he had 37 possession 3 goal games. Players capable of those sorts of numbers don’t grow on trees. He didn’t finish third in the Brownlow by accident.
  15. Rowell and Anderson won’t be the best 2 players in the draft. Lock it in, take it to the bank. How many picks 1 and 2’s in the draft were in the All Australian team this year? Hint = less than 1. Getting pick 3 instead of 2 is so irrelevant it’s not even funny.
  16. Wasn’t far off my pass mark...
  17. You’d make a good recruiter. 9 years later and the blokes an absolute gun. Yes please if we can get home for a 3rd rounder.
  18. I think you're on the money. The fact that we didn't get to host either of QB'day and Anzac Eve and got horrid and severely under budgeted crowds for the Richmond/Collingwood/Sydney August home games is probably going to really hurt us financially.
  19. Interesting that Collingwood do not have one solitary representative in the extended 40.
  20. If the AFL was worried before the Demons' presentation to the commission on Tuesday ... then it is even more worried now. And unlike the Suns, it won't be offering priority national draft assistance. Anyone care to take a guess what he's talking about. Why are we back to being a basket case in the space of 12 months?
  21. Can anyone makes sense of this from Damien Barrett? If the AFL was worried before the Demons' presentation to the commission on Tuesday ... then it is even more worried now. And unlike the Suns, it won't be offering priority national draft assistance.
  22. And T Mac's game against Carlton which everyone's forgotten about. 6 goals by 3 qtr time is a pretty spectacular effort. We would've won 3-4 games on the run home if he didn't get injured. His form turned around at the Freo game and it was match winning against average sides.
  23. Speaking of Brad Hill, he shouldn't have any right to choose his club of choice (rumored to be St Kilda) considering he has multiple years left on his contract with Freo. Hill should go to whichever club benefits Freo the most, and if that's Brayshaw for Hill, then so be it. Would we have the salary cap to fit Hill's asking price?

Did snag a 5 goal game though. Not overly impressed with him. Delisted free agent at absolute best.

    An absolute fair enough comment.
