The Incremental Bang Theory...
Agreed. Could be the making of him if he can step up big time without our key forwards.

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Bulldogs
We’ll miss Weed’s 1 goal and 3 marks.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Hore does make a ton of mistakes both at ground level and turning the ball over via foot. Has been impressive in his first year but I wouldn’t have as automatic best 22 next year.

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Bulldogs
Who will be omitted from last week? Petty, Lockhart, ANB or Dunkley?
-
CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Western Bulldogs
Assuming Gawn plays, is Preuss a certainty to keep his spot considering they're so reluctant to play Gawn and Preuss in the same side? In - Lever, Gawn Out - T Mac, Hore Jetta to have another week at Casey (IMO) considering he's missed 10 weeks and didn't even play a full game at Casey on his return. JFK would probably be border line. He probably didn't deserve to cop a bullet after the Adelaide game considering he was only promoted for 1 week after a long lay off, and has regularly been in the best for Casey.

Goddard: Trade Clarry
When's Oliver out of contract. Should be our biggest priority, no ifs buts or maybes.

Training - Tuesday 9 July, 2019
Good to see Melksham running laps. A return in round 20 V Richmond?

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Western Bulldogs
Lewis dodged a bullet with the MRO and will play this week.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
Anyone who kicks 2 goals in a Friday night high pressure, high stakes AFL semi final must have some sort of talent and AFL capabilities. Having a really poor second season but let’s not write him off yet.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Western Bulldogs
Agree. He didn’t seem to bothered after the game. I assume he’ll play next week. Small sample but it was Petty’s best game of his career.

GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Carlton
On a hiding to nothing today. We win and they’ll say we beat a Cripps less and Curnow less Carlton, and our coach will embarrass himself with his emotional hugging and embracing of all 22 players, like he’s done with all our other mediocre wins this year. Lose, and we’ll rightly cop it left, right and centre.

Kobe Farmer
And was bloody emotional after our Geelong final win. I reckon MFC is his number 1.

When is the acid going to be put on Melbourne’s woeful season
Gerard and Slobbo have promised to open up AFL 360 on Monday with a Melbourne lashing if we get done tomoz. Make no mistake, this year has been an absolute disgrace. There has to be casualties at the end of the year. And our head coach must surely be put on severe notice if we win just 0-2 games for the rest of the year. I keep defending our off season surgeries but apparently West Coast had 14 themselves and are now flying and probably flag favourites.

Rounds 18 to 21
I wouldn't bet on us fighting tooth and nail from Sunday right through to the final siren at Blundstone Arena. Our club hasn't exactly got a fantastic track record of giving it their all every week, 100% of the time.
-
Bryce Gibbs
Would fit perfectly into our one-way unaccountable down skiing midfield.
-
Brad Hill
Any chance we could also get his older brother as steak knives?
-
CHANGES: Rd 16 vs Carlton
And probably a few weeks after that if he's strained or torn it.

Come Whatever MAY
Agree with the OP. Even O Mac, Spargo and JFK could've provided more than what our 3 tall fwds did last week.

Injury List - Season 2019
He had an uneventful JLT series. Must have tweaked it at training before round 1....

Rounds 18 to 21
There's also the motivation levels that may come into play. If we're a couple per cent off the opposition in terms of desire then that will go a long way to losing all those games. You could already see the desire drop off dramatically in the second half against a finals bound Brisbane when Hipwood jagged all those goals late in the 3rd qtr. West Coast, Richmond and Collingwood will all be hungry for top 4 spots where as we'll be playing for a bit of pride. I don't see those games going well. St Kilda have returned to the shallow end of the pool so I'd be hoping we can exact a bit of a revenge in that rd 19 game.

A loss to Carlton ...
It’s annoying that it regularly takes a bad performance and a bit of media scrutiny to garner a response from the side. A sign of a really poor club.
-
A loss to Carlton ...
It’s an indictment on this year’s squad that we’re going to struggle to match the 2015 squad’s achievement of 7 wins. A squad that regularly featured whipping boys such as Bail, M Jones, McKenzie, Toumpas, Dawes, Michie and Newton.
-
A loss to Carlton ...
Please let both of these players be once in a generation type players.

Can we please get some small forwards
I think our entire forward line is a shambles. We may have kicked less goals in other games this year, however last week (V Brisbane) our forward line was at it's most dysfunctional. Our entire forward line is a real concern going forward, and certainly agree with the OP that our list is sorely lacking a competent small forward.
