Opposition Watch: Rd 3 vs Essendon
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
if he misses 4 weeks, he'll be available for our game - although they could bring him back through the VFL?? But yeah, potentially a handy out. -
Are there any toys left in Hogan’s cot or have they all been thrown out before the final siren.

POST MATCH DISCUSSION: Melbourne vs Richmond - JLT 01
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wasn't impressed with Hunt's game and it was a step backwards from last week. Yes, he laid a brilliant tackle that Goodwin would've loved, but he did not provide even one dash from half back which is his point of difference as a player. Just an ineffective and nothing game from him. -
POST MATCH DISCUSSION: Melbourne vs Richmond - JLT 01
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I was encouraged by our last qtr comeback but then realised Martin and Cotchin were off the ground for most of, if not all of the last qtr. -

Riewoldt rates Hogan as better forward than TMac
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Geez we like to our conveniently changes our opinions around here whenever it suits: General opinion of Hogan before October 2018 - "An absolute star of the game who's so far ahead of Daniher, Patton, Ben Brown and Tom Boyd it's not even funny. Will be a once in a generation player and we're so lucky to have him" General opinion of Hogan after October 2018 - A poor man's Paddy McCartin with on-field attitude problems. -
I totally understand the reasoning for his omission from the PF side as he was physically shot, but I'm sure 6 Fristch kicks would've been of more value than Tyson's whopping 3 for the day.

Mahoney in yesterday’s telecast suggested that Oliver and T Mac will likely play JLT 1 v Richmond.

GAME DAY - Scratch Match vs Collingwood
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
How many are Collingwood missing? -
Geelong loss after the siren last year was my most heart breaking. Seen way too many train wrecks down there and that game put me over the edge. The drive home from Geelong to Pakenham (12:30am) that night was not great.

I'm still filthy (as should he) he was overlooked in the prelim, meanwhile Tyson jogged around and picked up a massive 3 kicks and 1 tackle for the game. Hopefully he can take his game to another level year this year as he has class written all over him. -

Fox Footy's 2019 Top 8 Predictions
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
We play Collingwood, Richmond and West Coast a total of 6 times. Last year the games were over at 3 qtr time against all of those side as we had poor losses (Bar the memorable rd 22 win. Top 4 rests on those games. -

That we've had a soft pre-season compared to others?? -
Dees to take on Pies in Scratch Match (22/2/19)

Nathan Jones basically played down this up-coming match Vs Collingwood as a glorified training session. I wouldn't be surprised if there's no scoring. -
I can already predict this quote from the coach or senior player after the season's finished: "In retrospect, the late start to the pre-season, combined with the larger than normal rehab group throughout the summer contributed to our late season fade-out/sluggish start to the season".

Kangaroos Intra Club 13th February

Yeah agree with others on the thread. Tyson’s a very good footballer who’ll be an asset for North. -

Agree 100%. It’s been a poor pre season (judging by DL training and media reports) whichever way you cut it. Extremely late start to the season by our standards (how will we adapt?) AFLPA imposed breaks every other week effecting continuity, especially since we started back late. Gawn being the only player of our acclaimed midfield to have a full pre season to date. Tons of rehabbers in any session. While we could have as little as Jake Lever unavailable for round 1, will the gun players who have had interrupted pre seasons survive the year without injury? Hopefully I’m jumping at shadows and we’ll be just fine. -

Saty, can you please provide an update on Melksham? Is he any danger to miss round 1?
