  1. On a scale of 1-10, this is a 2. Hope he gets better reel soon
  2. From your lips to god's ears, CJ!
  3. Neale, Dunkley, McClaggage, Bailey, Ashcroft (soon to be Ashcroft x 2), Lyons, Zorko, Fletcher, Dev Robertson, Berry. Throw in AhChee and occasionally Cam Raynor. I'd say that's a pretty good midfield, both quality and depth Players from non Vic clubs often go unheralded by the media
  4. So, just to be clear, what you're saying is that we should pick this year's draftees based upon who has or hasn't been been picked in the past, not solely on the quality of draftees available this year? Ok then 🤔
  5. Walsh has been the better player over his years than any other in that draft, and that's saying something because it was a hugely talented draft year Regardless, the point was that we're drafting for the future, not based upon who was taken at what pick in the past
  6. I think it'll be somewhere in between. Short of a Reid mega deal, which appears unlikely, we'll keep 5 and maybe use 13 and 24 (or future 1st, 24 and 31) to try and get 10. 5 and 10 might get us Sanders and O'Sullivan, a great haul. Still leaves us with a 2nd or 3rd round pick/s and whatever we get for Grundy. Late pick for Brown JJ pick 39 for McAdam, future 3rd for Fullerton??? So, four draft picks and two recruits
  7. Luke Hodge, Jacob Weitering and Sam Walsh? But it's a decision for now, not the past
  8. 39 might move up as picks in the 20s and 30s are swallowed up for NGA and FS. Handy that it's inside 40 in case Dees look at our potential NGAs outside 40, eg. Riak Andrew
  9. And a midfielder with elite disposal by foot. Pretty please?
  10. One of the better stories for the Dees this year. And congrats to him and his partner on the birth of their child Looking forward to a big preseason from Joel and continued success in 2024
  11. Reckon that's a good offer from Hawks. Hard for us to beat it
  12. They're sitting in the cheap seats! 🤣
  13. But he is from SA, and Melb is 1,300km away from his home town. He also played at Norwood before his draft. In short, he does have past links with SA and Adelaide city. Not that this means he is homesick
  14. Wasn't necessarily Oliver to GCS for 4 plus, but a scenario that gets us pick 4. Could be multi club deal
  15. Sorry, later pick was later 1st round pick. That would be multiple 1st round picks
  16. Trade radio saying that a senario where pick 4 and a later pick might be enough for a trade with Clarry Then 4 and 5 used towards pick1 We might have a few in tears on this board next week
  17. No, cbf, but you could try looking at WCWs post history
  18. Yes, and that post mentioned that Goody gave the biggest spray to Kossie post game on front of the while team. Wouldn't be the first rule of Management 101 Just throwing this out there... maybe part of the problem is Goody?
  19. Agreed overall, but there have been some f ups over the last year or two that have taken the shine off my view of our recruitment strategies. Grundy trade this year was a flop for what we had hoped for, and despite injuries we still lack a tall dominant forward, for which Gawndy was never going to succeed. Are we seen as a 'destination' club anymore? Perhaps that's a contributing factor in all the talk of getting high draft picks rather than landing a big 🐟 Granted, its early doors in the trade period
  20. If, of we were to trade Clarry, I seriously think many Melbourne fans would be bitterly fissapointed with the return. IMO this talk of us working it to get picks 1 and 3 are pie in the sky stuff, even if we bundle 5 into it. I think we'd be more likely to be offered something roughly similar to the Jackson trade, 2 x 1sts and a 2nd, with the two 1sts being outside top 10 But it's all smoke and mirrors at the moment, who the f knows!
  21. Yeah righto... And we are weighing up whether to make a play for Nick Daicos, the Bont and Walsh FMD 🙄
  22. Is that so? Bloody Nora, our list will have some sort of turnover this year
  23. Reckon they'd give up 2 and a later 1st rounder. Don't they have 14 or something similar? Maybe a 2024 late 1st as well. That leaves Norf with 1, 3 and the AFLs gifted end of 1st round. That's a bloody good hand. They might even grab O'Sullivan with 3 to replenish their key defensive stocks A lot to like about Norf's list going forward WCE get their WA boy and a couple of 1st rounders Win/win
  24. I'll have a go... Grundy leaving frees up possibly $650k, Hibberd about $450k, JJ maybe $300k, Dunstan $250k? If Harmes leaves that's another $450k We'll inject about 4 in the draft, incl 2 x 1st rounders and Pup Brown. McAdam from Crows gets about $500k I'd say our cap isn't overly tight
