A lot of variables in that theory, Red. Anything can happen in 2 years. I'd rather develop Reid with us rather than leave WCE to f[censored] him up, and then us give them a kp gun ready to go

On top of Grundy playing forward for Casey, it was pleasing to see young Jefferson crash a few packs and do some nice things on the weekend. Add a bit more muscle and bigger tank over summer and he's right in the mix for games in 2024 Keep it up young man - you and JVR are the future of our forward line!

Its a rehearsal for him leaving WCE and returning to Vic in a year's time

Either trade up for 1 or stick with 4 and a combo of other selections. Maybe use 16 and 23 to get a better pick. Can't see us trading for 2 or 3 The prospect of using 4 on the tall WA lad might just be the leverage for prizing out pick 1
  5. Speaking demon bloodlines, I read there's a young Alfie Rowley playing for the Vic U12 team. Grandson of the great RDB. Can we start lobbying for a new grandfather/grandson rule? After all, they adapted the rules years ago for RDB himself!

Not sure that offer would add much to the kitty

The positives are that we won games against Coll and Bris without him, and that he will surely be fresh and ready to go when he returns ready for finals Has been great to see Riv, Sparrow, etc lift in his absence Would like Trac to play more forward when Clarry returns
  8. Melb 21 frees, Adelaide 12 frees
  9. I'd rather neither, which is why today was underwhelming
  10. Has had a career best year, especially given Clarry's absence
  11. Well then, you've answered your own question
  12. Yes, I'm aware they beat the Saints. Nice try Doesn't change their ladder position, hence finals chances Or is that in dispute as well?
  13. Agreed. I'd have hoped Melb were significantly better than Adeliade's best, given we are 4th and hoping for another flag But 4 points is always a good outcome
  14. CB for what? I said they are 13th, or is that incorrect?
  15. Really, where did I do that? I simply said they were 13th on the ladder
  16. Plus % Having lost today, they are one game plus % away from 4th last Hypotheticals work both ways!
  17. And Crows got done by the Suns, Dogs, Tigers, and nearly by the Hawks That logic can be used both ways
  18. Adelaide are 13th
  19. Last comment from me. If you are happy with giving up a very good lead in the last, then I'm pleased for your distorted maths I find a come from behind win against a top 3 side more inspiring than nearly giving up a 4 goal lead into the last against a bottom 8 team. That's my preferred maths! Cheers
  20. Thankfully for @picket fence 😉
  21. Ridiculous hyperbole, or do I need to explain that as well? The closer to the finals, the more important the context. And we are faaaaar from comparable to Collingwood
  22. Coll aren't 4th and haven't lost to Freo, GWS and Essendon The context and comparison aren't the same. False equivalence That's the difference
  23. If I have to explain it to you then there's something wrong. All good teams will get the better of you at some point in the game. A better team will not easily give up a decent lead. A good team will come back from 4 or 5 goals down in the last. We need to be consistent more often to win the flag this year. As we were in 2021
  24. There's s difference between winning a close game being well ahead and winning coming from behind like last week. Today was underwhelming
