I'd prefer the end of the year, it's unlikely there's anyone better to take over. But I suspect you may be thereabout right We are imploding very quickly Today was putrid to watch, small crowd too. This will hurt the finances if we continue the form
  2. Clearance count 25 to 11 😡
  3. GCS clearances killing us. Coming out too easily. Same last round vs Norf
  4. 17 points. Should be 7 goals behind. Our kicking is nothing short of putrid. Improve that in the 2nd half and we are a chance
  5. Oliver oil today
  6. Is it compulsory for us to always attempt marks i50 one handed?
  7. This is painful to watch. Our kicking is circa 2010 Melbourne

Agreed. We have too many average/poor kicks in our midfield. The long bombs are useless, especially when we have a bunch of prepubescent kpf's who understably struggle to take a contested mark Max, Viney, Tracc, Clarry, Langdon, Sharp, Sparrow and Billings are all unreliable by foot Hopefully the addition of Langford and Lindsay will improve this delivery, but it’s 2-3 years away before they hit their peak. We desperately need more elite kicks and decision makers IMO Max should not go i50, certainly not as a tall target. He's a terrible kick, can't hit the ocean with a beach ball. AJ or JVR should take ruck there
  9. I certainly think his days are numbered. If he isnt replaced during the season, he should be at the end of the year. IMO he's gone as far as he can with this group Happy to be proven wrong in 10 weeks, can't see it happening. One flag from such an amazing list is underwhelming

Umpires should've chaired off Pendles and Siddey
  12. I hate honorable losses. Hate em.
  13. May, Kossie, McVee
  14. Yep. Not enough polish in front of goals. And not enough forward pressure to keep it in. Giants ran it out to easily
  15. It's only matter of time before a big punter, or punting syndicate, takes on the AFL because one poor umpiring decision cost them big time. Now that's what will change the AFLs mindset towards umpiring standards. Money means everything to AFL HQ. All else is secondary.
  16. This. Don't change an interpretation and then dilute it back to nothing
  17. Won't happen. They'll leave the game and we'll get worse umpires. No point in humiliating a fool. 1. Make them full time 2. Give them proper noise cancelling headphones 3. Get rid of the earpiece, or play heavy metal in it 4. Tell them to pay what is there, especially in the last 5 mins, without any repercussions 5. Get better technology for the goal line. FCS, it's available! 6. Get their eyes tested every 3 months. Reinstate OPSM as major sponsor 7. Get rid of any umpire that supports or has supported a club (except Melbourne, of course, we wrote the rules) 8. Separate the umpire devision completely from the AFL. No contact at all from HQ, not paid by HQ, fully independent And pigs might fly...
  18. Thanks Tucker 👍

    Urgh! Famous last words!
  22. Also, didnt Adelaide get SC relief when someone retired due to concussion? Was it Tippett? Can't quite recall the name

I was in Tassie for work a couple of months ago. Just before election announced. North west, then Launnie, then Hobart. Talked with stacks of locals: tradies and professionals. Most were against the deal. Many said the money was better spent elsewhere. I think the issues in Tassie are often different from mainland, and we fail to acknowledge that
  24. Sydney got SC relief when Paddy McCartin retired due to concussion, his payout was outside their SC. The precedent has been set
  25. Shall we start a Get Logan McDonald thread as well? He look a ripper last night and Sydney are facing significant SC squeeze due to topping up Grundy's contract beyond what we were paying last year. Apparently Grundy now on over $1mill, Swans paying about $750k, according to Sam Landsberger
