    Tom Boyd is a premiership player who in my opinion should have won the Norm Smith that day. I will always love Jack Watts but he was taken at a time our culture wasn't right. Petracca was taken at number 2 and Brayshaw at number 3. I don't think if either were taken at number 1 it would have affected how they went about this year or on grand final day.

    Thanks for that. The most fascinating thing for me is pick 12 and 13 12 - West Coast 13 - Essendon Wanganeen-Milara in the mix. Legendary surnames at both clubs.

    Stinga was an all time favourite of mine. Pre truck, Gawn an Oliver. I think the number has to be rested for a bit until we are absolutely sure the next player to wear it is a gun. Maybe Laurie might but let him play some proper VFL first and earn it.

    I think Goodwin left it until the finals to show our cards. He is a gambler and didn't want to give our hand away early. Then when he did we came up with a Royal Flush.

    The greatest season I have ever seen Mainly before the finals we just seemed to strangle teams over the course of the match. Then in the finals we just destroyed everyone. Bang - bang, bang, bang

    Oliver is number 1 of my life time supporting Melbourne. But Gawn was All Australian captain , premiership captain and delivered every time he was asked He is number 1 to build a list around.

    Oliver was doing the same on Bont in the second half. Not playing shoulder to shoulder but just making sure if Bont went forward that he was close enough to take him on in the air or on the ground.

    Oliver is stiff to only get 5 coaches votes in the grand final. I would normally say I must have been watching a different game but given I have watched the replay enough times it amazes me.
