  1. Sparrow could be a superstar but I doubt he will break into our midfield next year. Petracca, Viney or Oliver would need to be injured. We have an exciting list.
  2. I think Chris Judd's grandmother said it's a chance. Maybe he could carry the water for Oliver and Petracca.
  3. I have a few mates with soil from the last Collingwood game at Victoria Park but I know it's legit because those ferals have photos of them digging it up themselves.
  4. Hopefully Taj takes number 22 You would hope the next number 2 will be a gun maybe Laurie? Or retire it until we get someone JT is confident will continue the tradition.
  5. Oliver easily. Petracca had more brilliant games but even in the GF Clarry took out Bont and let Truck star. Selfless. In the talk with Barassi and Flower for greatest Demon of all time. Isn't yet but he still has a decade of football in him.
  6. It's very rare I disagree with you RBG. But... Pike was no Saint at Brisbane.
  7. There were 2 Jackson's that were instrumental in the premiership.
  8. I was having a bit of a joke but the Bulldogs would have to go ultra defensive in round 1 after the GF. If we just stream out of the centre questions will be asked about Bevo
  9. In round 1 it wouldn't surprise me if the Bulldogs mids set up a wall at centre bounces like soccer teams do just to stop us moving it forward
  10. I reckon Jordie McKenzie could play a role now. He fits alot of our criteria.
  11. Thompson was out at Home House, Geelong's nightclub famous for party drugs and late nights during his tenure.
  12. I would say at least 3 of them. I don't know about Cox.
  13. Oliver won the coaches award and when the GF was in the balance in the 2nd half played on Bont and gave the widely regarded best player in the league a footballing lesson. Petracca player one of the most dominant performances in a grand final ever. Gawn is now a premiership captain and AA captain and dragged us there at stages. (Hello Geelong twice) Viney always turns up in the big games and helped build the culture. Not near the best ever yet but they could give it a crack over the next few years. Jackson and Sparrow would walk into any other side's starting midfield but they have to wait and just rotate. Promising times.
  14. When our backline is talked about May and Lever have been fantastic and get the glory but anyone who doesn't have Salem in the same picture hasn't watched enough of Melbourne.
  15. I thought this was going to be about the wingers club. There is alot of talent waiting to come in and I'm sure there is another Bowser up our sleeves with JT recruiting but given we put on show the biggest demolition in just over a 1/4 in GF history I don't think any of the current players would be concerned about their spot.
  16. What are the odds of Collingwood winning the wooden spoon in both women's and men's leagues?
  17. If the Brisbane Lions lost Voss, Simon Black and Akka they wouldn't still be talked about as one of the best sides ever.
  18. The Oliver / Petracca combo is a great point. It's obvious because they both spend so much time in the midfield and centre bounces together but the chemistry between the two coming into their prime is why we won a premiership and why we are favourites again next year. We've all watched the GF replay plenty of times but the number of times Oliver gets it to Petracca or vice versa and the recipient does damage is incredible.
  19. Now I say "go pies" just for [censored] and giggles
  20. I thought the 7000 mile kick was going to be Kozzie or Spargo landing one in Chocko's roofless car for kicking practice.
  21. Dusty's neck tattoo's shrunk in proportion with his body weight loss.
  22. I need to start this post with a disclaimer. All players should be free to go out and do as they please within the legal framework of legal rules. I bumped into Dusty Martin at a restaurant last night and asked him how it feels to take a back seat to Oliver and Petracca as the best players in the league. I shouldn't have said it and I regret it. I want to be humble Melbourne supporter. Dusty wanted to punch my lights out but was too smart for that. I was amazed at how much weight he has lost. He would be more similar to Bailey Fritch than Petracca on the scales at the moment. If I had my time again I wouldn't have said anything. Thanks Dusty for being as diplomatic as one could be in a split second decision. Go Dees and I hope supporters show more diplomacy than me.
  23. Normally I read what has been written in a thread before I post. Today I haven't bothered Every other team should look at the fixture and panic if they play Melbourne twice.even worse for them if it's in WA or Geelong
  24. I went for one that wasn't visible and helped me take the P!ss. I got to D and had no room left.
  25. I wouldn't read much into it. When we were hopeless we bought in players like Vince*, Lamumba and Dawes which would have increased our age profile. * I love Vince Players normally get to 100 games if they are good footballers. But some get there cheaply if they play for struggling clubs. What you really want is your best footballers at around 100 games and a culture to get the younger players heading towards it.
