They were always on the move and expecting and predicting where Max would tap it. They obviously put a lot of work into his tapping patterns. Max eventually got frustrated and started just aimlessly slapping the ball 20 metres forward. If this starts happening, I’d be throwing Jacko in the ruck and getting Max forward and behind the ball. Jackson is less predictable and is like an extra mid. Have a plan B

The weather in the rd19 game was the major factor. They scrubbed kicks inside fifty, forced stoppages and kicked some scrappy goals. The rain made our back structure useless and we had opportunities to win the game. If that’s what they are hanging their hats in, then let them. We also drew with the Hawks the week before and were in a form slump.

If we are wearing red backs, this means we’d be wearing white shorts. We have never worn redbacks with blue shorts. Very bizarre if true. We are the home team as far as this all goes, are we not? That’s how it has worked in previous years

Yeah we have been told by AFL and 7 to wear red backs. I reckon they announced ‘traditional strip’ hoping that we would all be none the wiser. Absolute Joke! We deserve the home strip. While it isn’t a massive departure from our home jumper, it is not our jumper.

Has anyone got any info on whether we can travel to Perth and complete 14 days quarantine. I know the obvious answer is ‘no you can’t’ - I’m vaccinated and have completed the G2G form for entry. Refrained from posting on any of the threads during the game, because I knew it was all negative. So, I just want to say this: Every poster on this site loves the Club. It’s an unconditional love. It’s hard at times, because it’s been torture at times. There have been some highs, but a lot of heartbreak. We have been the office jokes. The [censored] takes. We have endured the sneers. We’ve copped a lot of crap. However, 57 years of hurt and ridicule just got put to bed. There is a still a job to do. However, as Tracc said post game, “this is for the Melbourne supporters who have been embarrassed to wear the logo”. If that doesn’t send a tingle down your spine, I don’t know that you are human. Its the proudest moment in my lifetime as a supporter. I am full of hope of what we can achieve in this finals series. We can trust this group. We can be proud of this group. They love the Club like we love the Club. It is indeed a Grand Old Flag
