  1. If he meant business, he wouldn’t drop easy marks on the goal line
  2. Ben Brown kicks a goal after staying in the contest and just dropping the mark from a poor Weideman entry.
  3. This will be a day where no forward kicks a goal. The delivery is putrid and Essendon have 300 players in our forward line
  4. Multiple times he had options in the centre or out on a wing ..open in a lot of space…and he held the ball up. It kills the flow of our movement and is not what we are currently about. He needs time to re-learn the game plan. It’d want to be a quick re-education
  5. If you look at the whole game, which I just did on replay after getting home from the G, the holding the ball was adjudicated the same way all night. There were several examples of Essendon players inside our 50 in the first quarter being pinged exactly the same way. There is no prior, they’ve attempted to dispose, it’s play on! There was one Essendon player who was caught in front of our goal and drop kicked it, play on. then after they’d booed so much they spooked the umpire into paying the one against Kozzy, which was blatantly high! The umps were scared to pay anything but holding the ball. there was one against TMAC, who executed a chase down tackle on the edge of the square, punt rd end, the bloke drops it cold and rather than paying the free kick for dropping the ball, he pings TMAC for holding the player too long in the tackle. the Petracca non decision in the last quarter was close to a sling tackle. No, In fact it was a sling tackle. He also had no prior. they can huff and puff all they like. They drove the narrative the entire game. From the first bounce. They booed everything. The commentators are sucked in by it. It becomes the narrative. Then the TV audience believe it. EAFD Bombers supporters. Pure nuffie muppets
  6. I know this bloke playing out at Casey tomorrow who has amazing accuracy…he takes a decent mark too…you reckon we should have a word to him and see if he can play next week?
  7. I liked when they also booed Fritta because he chased a bloke who have zero awareness where they 30 foot steel post was placed. Supposedly it was his fault he ran into the post
  8. That’s the point tho, Fritsch is on the nose atm. TMac is showing signs of 2020 form and is playing really high up. Brown can compliment both by playing as the leading player out of the square
  9. I think he is a perfect medical sub for a GF for a few reasons. He is actually more versatile than he has been given credit for. He could release a mid to play wing or half back flanker if needed and be a serviceable extractor in the guts. He could play back flank and just compete in a finals type way. He can go forward and take a good contested grab and kick goals. One thing you know, he will put his head over the ball in the heat of battle. Every. Damn. Time! That’s what is needed on Grand Final day. I’d rather him coming on as sub than Chandler or Melksham.
  10. Really appreciate you trying to help. She is resigned to the fact she will be watching from home
  11. He is a lot fitter this year than last.
  12. I know this is a massive long shot, but if any of the Demonland faithful are MFC H and A members and not able to go and would be willing to PM me their barcode, I’d be eternally grateful. I’m a full home game member and MCC Full member , so I’ve been able to sort myself through the MCC, but my wife (also MFC home member) isn’t able to get into the MCC with me. As a home member, she also can’t buy a seat right now. if anyone could help me out, I’d love to hear from you
  13. Tom Sparrow would want to have a quick return to form on Saturday night. His last game was absolutely pathetic, if I’m being honest. His lack of awareness, in the last quarter, absolutely killed us. He gave away four frees in the last quarter. Has the awareness of a rock at times. I’m not yet sure what his skill set is. Even the goal he kicked the week before was as fumbly as they come. He mopped up his own mess and finished well, but the fact is , he created the mess.
  14. Be careful what you wish for. The Labor government would s4ite the bed and lock us down for a month and cancel all finals in Melbourne.
  15. At least BT generates excitement, even if he is a [censored]. What’s with Brayshaw’s awkward minutes of silence
  16. In fairness, I don’t disagree with a lot of what has been said by their supporters. I too see a massive slump coming. We reverted to selfish, Uninspiring football against Collingwood and I think the mental fragility of a few was on show. Happy to be proven wrong and I hope some home truths were spoken over the break. Viney back in helps, as we have been smashed at centre clearances. We need to be right on from the start. Going into the game without a key forward is playing into their hands. They have a rubbish backline, but I don’t think we will expose it. For those saying it’s going to rain, the night looks pretty clear. Most of the moisture in the morning.
  17. Commentators for this game. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. James Brayshaw the worst, most boring bloke on TV
  18. You’ll be happy to know there are no visitor tickets for MCC on Saturday. Pays to research
  19. They can start doing that at rd 16 onwards. Let’s secure our finals place and perhaps even a top 4 before flirting with that idea
  20. Close the thread. This nails it shut.
  21. I don’t have to accept yours either and if you read through this thread, most posters are in disagreement with you. how do you know what Brown’s track form is like? You’ve assumed he hasn’t been training well enough..based on??
  22. Current form of Weideman at AFL levels suggests that he isn’t up to it, so you give the next bloke in line a go. It’s a COVID impacted season and your old school rules of selection don’t apply. Accept that and move on
  23. Hard to earn a VFL game on form when they aren’t playing at the moment. What I can tell you is that over many seasons at AFL level Ben Brown has proven himself as one of the better forwards in the completion. Meanwhile, the Weid has been average at best.
