  1. The last game of VFL I saw this year, before the Pooh was hurled at the fan, he was clearly best on ground. If he can Play games like that over the next 5 weeks and we go deep, he should be the medical sub. You know on a big day, when whips were cracking, if you lost a soldier, he’d go out and do a job for you. He is more versatile than people credit him as being. Can play high half forward. Back flank. Or in the middle. Wing.
  2. Ask James Jordon that question. Twice he slowed the game at half forward. Must be better
  3. If Geelong want a home final at Kardinia, the crowd split should be 50/50. So good luck to the pr!ks.
  4. Sorry if it’s been discussed , but what’s the lead up to the event. Why is he so angry and in a wrestle?
  5. What are our intercept marks like? Happy to stand corrected, but it is where we generated a lot of our play from. It seems like teams are putting the ball in quicker and to ground to keep May and Lever out of it. That’s my observation. I reckon in the Hawks and Dogs game, both May and Lever were quiet, although holding their direct opponents, due to the quick entries and chaos balls
  6. We will be lucky to win 1 of the next 4. Let’s be quite honest with ourselves. Rd 23 in Geelong could get really ugly. We will get towelled up in Perth. The Gold Coast are running well at the moment and will be a chance. We a just an average side with a good defence. That’s being realistic. Teams have worked out has to overcome our defence and we can’t score enough to win games. It’s curtains for this season. Might win a final, but we aren’t going much further
  7. First four minutes of the quarter Viney was at half forward flank and we won every single clearance. He goes back in and what do you know - he fumbles. He is done as a mid
  8. Gawn taps straight down Vineys throat and he fumbles it. He is [censored] cooked
  9. This does my head in. And then gets pushed off balance at the end. Mix it up. Seperate yourself. Get separation at the bounce then attack the football. He gets consumed with grappling
  10. Yeah over the boundary line out on the full
  11. This gave me the s5it$ last night. It’s not the reason we didn’t win, but the hawthorn players constantly dove onto ground ball and driving their head into players standing still and were rewarded with free kicks. Then there was the goal they kicked when Lever so obviously had his jumper pulled in a marking contest. The free kick against Ben Brown to McEvoy is so ticky tack. Again, not the reason we didn’t win, but the Hawks got an armchair ride.
  12. If his name wasn’t Viney, he would be everyone’s whipping boy. He is starting to become the whipping boy around here. His kicks inside 50 are appalling and he has slowed to the point of being considered a plodder. He constantly gets caught holding the ball.
  13. Yep, noticed it and multiple long breaks with this [censored] finals draw has me worried. We could come out flat as tacks.
  14. It’s his [censored] run up. The little hop and skip and ball moving all around. It’s horrible. he actually reminds me of Jesse Hogan. Same weird [censored] he used to do!
  15. The Lions are cooked. What a waste of money Daniher is. Lazy footballer.
  16. And the constant flashes to Mia Fevola and Brendan were unbearable. The AFLs answer to the Kardashians.
  17. That is the worst free kick I have ever seen in my life. The bloke is running back with the flight and he calls front on contact. Disgrace!
  18. I know the game almost over, but is there a way to watch this?
  19. Geez the collective circle jerking around Parish is starting to annoy me. BT labelling him “the player of the year” - the media love for Essendon is so putrid
  20. Spot on! And when Fritta, Jackson and TMAC start attracting the defenders, Brown will become free and he is a serious weapon. The hope would be that teams have to start allocating their defensive resources to a number of our forwards, which makes us super dangerous. If that happens, Brown has the ability to tear defenders apart one on one.
  21. You must have been watching a different game. Had separation on a number of occasions and balls were kicked high and not to his advantage. Even when this occurred, on a couple occasions, he was able to double back and make a contest. At ground level he was terrific, leading his man to the ball and then doubling back towards goal to collect the footy. The connection with teammates will come from playing more games. He also allows others to jump a the ball and plays a team game, often as the the 2nd or 3rd string in a pack marking situation, protecting the space. He is going nowhere. side note - I’ve been critical of Petty at times, but he was wonderful tonight and showed everyone why the coaches like him.
  22. Ben Brown was a success tonight and didn’t have to kick a single goal to help us win. Straightened us right up and provided a target. Brought it to ground, followed up at ground level, hit up targets inside 50. He must stay in the side. When TMac has an off week, Brown is the one that can step up and hit the scoreboard
  23. We never have front and centre or over the back covered. Work it out
