  1. Spot on. I’m sorry, but whoever is dishing up legal advice to him, if it’s actually true, has NFI. He can do that and blow up himself and his brand, and he can get out of the contract, but in no world does that allow him to nominate his club of choice and the compensation. It is a weak legal argument anyway, despite why Jon Ralph has been told. Facts are he posted that he made the call to go back on. The AFL medicos ticked off the procedures followed. The hospital took hours to find the bleeding. None of that amounts to a reasonably foreseeable breach of duty of care. Now, if there are other issues, for example, if he aired concerns about safety for players prior to this, which were ignored, then we have an issue. If the club isn’t consulting with a panel of legal experts right now, I’d be flabbergasted. It better not be Adrian Anderson
  2. https://www5.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/cth/consol_act/ca2001172/s249d.html#:~:text=(1) The directors of a,cast at the general meeting. it’s time !!
  3. What was the ratio decidendi ?
  4. I’d love for him to try the grievance tribunal. It would be a completely frivolous claim and he is taking on the League and the Club in doing so. They ticked off his treatment. The Drs at hospital would support the club doctors. He is getting some terribella advice from somewhere
  5. It has to be McKay and a pick. No way you are letting go a top 5 player in the league for McKay
  6. Let’s be perfectly clear, this is an act of treason, from which there is no return. We can hold him to ransom, but he has had long enough to pledge allegiance. He has not done so. That alone has caused irreparable damage to the Club. I cannot see a way back to mend the damage and the relationship. It’s like the ex girlfriend that changes the moment you breakup and you feel like you never really knew at all. cut him loose. Make it a win

  8. He was laughing with the Port players at the end. That’s pathetic
  9. Interesting ‘highlights’ package. He moves well and is a great size, but most of his disposals were junk bombs or misdirected kicks inside 50, other than one. So, I guess he’ll fit right in
  10. Absolutely not. We need an A grader that is ready to play. You don’t get them with picks 10 and 14 as we have been attempting
  11. With Ashcroft and the GC academy kid, that pick will be 7. Josh a battle compo could make it 8
  12. AFL loves to run the term “duty of care” and apply that players owe a duty of care, but have not accepted the other key element of negligence, which is a defence of ‘contributory negligence’. That is, that the injured party in some way contributed to their own injuries. The MRO is a corrupt kangaroo court, a joke of a judicial body.
  13. Love the clubman spirit he offers, but he had three or four Nibbler moments last night that had me pulling my hair out. I’m sorry to those that love him, but we won’t miss him as much as people think
  14. Said it before, will say it again - Laurie will not make it. Possesses not one attribute at the highest level to make it
  15. WTF were people expecting?? It was the most average team we’d played all year. So many missing parts..why the doom and gloom. Had some moments..completely outclassed. No midfield..no backline and the forwardline probably was our best line…get realistic… we were not good enough because we had too many NQR parts
  16. Is Ben Brown playing? I see everyone commenting that he is. I must have missed this!
  17. I’m sorry, but whether it’s turned around or not is irrelevant. In doing this, Christian has put added pressure on the club heading into next year. The media will be like vultures whether even if he stays. They want the downfall story. Every time we lose next year, it’ll be “are there fractures” “what is wrong with the culture” - he may have had good intentions, but I doubt it, and this has literally been a negative for the entire club and its image, at a time when it was dwindling after a period of success. I’m sorry, but he just [censored] in the face of his own club and its supporters. I can’t understand how anyone can defend the behaviour. He must have someone in his ear telling him the media narrative around sending him back on the field , and the junk about Pies players caring for him. It makes me angry and sick. It’s a load of bull tish
  18. Is this a guess? Informed opinion? Wishful thinking? Has had plenty of time to respond. Created a circus and clowned his own club. Great move
  19. No, according to the media we caused both their injuries. Brayshaw should have been off and Tracc shouldn’t have been sent back on. Just remember that
  20. Quite frankly, Carlton winning was the best result possible. Means, win, lose or draw, Dees fans can sit there with a smugness about them knowing Collingwood couldn’t even make the finals to defend their premiership.
  21. We can get our high picks for Tracc.
  22. Exceptional win under immense media pressure. So bloody proud. sign JV. Whatever it takes. Heart and soul players like that are hard to come by. I didn’t like his post match interview. Less than convincing. I’d take the effort and attitude of Viney over the talent and attitude of Tracc. Just saying
  23. He looks good and can play forward.
  24. What a drubbing. How can we get our hands on Ned Moyle? The Suns are stacked with talent. Amazing that they have depth and still will likely miss finals in the AFL
  25. Treading water and kicking 6. Get him in. One last game for a loyal servant and a great bloke
