  1. I know that people are probably keen to buy from The Demon Shop, but I purchased some stuff online from the MCG Shop yesterday and within an hour I had a phone call to say my click and collect was ready. I was able to stroll up to Gate 3 at the MCG and collect my goods. Pretty convenient, if you aren’t wanting to wait on stuff and deal with AusPost, who are pathetically slow at the moment
  2. A very talented graphic designer mate knocked this up before the GF. The design can be made into stickers and hoodies. If anyone is interested in having made up, let me know. Stickers are ready to go
  3. With AVB leaving , I think the number 22 should go to him
  4. Obviously a special jumper number at the MFC. Is there anyone on the list worthy of it at the moment, or do we retire it for a year? I wondered if Sparrow would want to move from 32 - he might be a candidate. What does Demonland think?
  5. I picked up a framed Mark Knight from @joeboy and can’t speak more highly of the quality of framing. Thanks again for the speedy pickup service.
  6. Huge asset lost. His work with our young indigenous players was immense. Are we going to fill that role? I was completely ok with it, until I read he was playing in their VFL side, that makes me sick.
  7. Imagine being a Dogs fan and seeing that? I’d be filthy. He has also been pictured out partying with the Melbourne players.
  8. It’s a really tough watch. Seen it many times. He was such a great man, dealt the cruelest of blows. I wish someone would combine the Dublin Jim docco and this one someday.
  9. I haven’t taken my Dees gear off since our win. I have an extensive collection of merchandise, collected over many years. I plan to wear it as much as I can. I’ve had plenty of “go Dees” as ive passed people in the street. On Sunday, I walked from Kew to Carlton in my Demons jumper. Plenty of toots of the horn. It felt amazing
  10. Can anyone summarise what he had to say about the new facility ?
  11. I disagree. The first game is the start of a new season. You can’t dwell on the previous season in March next year. Hopefully it gets up in December. I needs to be later this year, or save it for Family Day 2022
  12. Refrained from posting anything here, as I was trying to process it all. I agree with others that the feeling at the end was different to what I had expected. I think we felt removed from the celebration. I’d always imagined an outpouring of emotion from our long suffering fans. It wasn’t possible to collectively experience that. The next day was one of the best in my life. The realisation set in. We’d done it. We are the best team in the league. It’s a special feeling. I don’t think it’ll really hit us all until the boys are home with the cup and we gather as a supporter group to watch them lift that magnificent cup. I can’t wait for that day. for now, it’s the replay for the next three months!!! Go you Dees!
  13. Wow. That was some kind of a night. It, for me, felt like no other game in my life. It was just different. It was surreal. We aren’t conditioned to see us play like that. It’s magnificent. I love this football club
  14. I seriously am having difficulty sleeping. Good to see I’m not the only one. Us fans are more nervous than the players … I hope
  15. Today hit me hard. I’ve spent 32 years going every week with my dad and a group of family friends. I’ve waited to see a premiership all of my life and had always imagined it so differently to this. I’m sure so many here feel the same. I just want to scream “Go Deeeeeees!” In the streets. HHaha. I want this win so much, but it’s so tough watching from afar. C’mon Dees. As Ron said “keep your cool, and give em hell”
  16. This, This and This….. absolutely tired of it. No talk of the fact Melbourne had the same things thrown at them in the season, 8 hour layovers etc … not to mention, we finish 1st and get zero home ground advantage and have been in Adelaide and Perth as a reward. Where’s that story being written?
  17. You could see how hurt he is, but as he has always done, he puts the club before himself. He is remarkable. I couldn’t love the bloke anymore. He is brilliant. I hope he stays at the Dees in some sort of coaching role
  18. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/afl-clubs-seek-advice-after-tom-wills-discovery-20210920-p58t8y.html?fbclid=IwAR10lLIcuUc-UU8gT47BgikYiL_3eVLBszvXuvE4sFNKzZhO3FZFZ0A77pk Interesting details emerging about Wills’ part in a massacre of Aboriginals. This seems completely inconsistent with other things I’ve read about Wills, but it’s fairly damning. How do others view this? I don’t feel like the MFC makes much of a deal about our connection to Wills, and these events took place a few years after he established the MFC.
  19. “Where the Dogs excel is winning clearances from opposition's taps.” This is spot on. I watched the Rd 19 game in full and this is what lost it for us. They were always on the move and expecting and predicting where Max would tap it. They obviously put a lot of work into his tapping patterns. Max eventually got frustrated and started just aimlessly slapping the ball 20 metres forward. If this starts happening, I’d be throwing Jacko in the ruck and getting Max forward and behind the ball. Jackson is less predictable and is like an extra mid. Have a plan B
  20. Great package. A massive reminder of how poorly our mids played in the rd19 game. Really fumbly in the wet. Too man little flick handballs. We won’t do that this week. Surprised to see how many stoppages ANB attended in that game too.
  21. This is ultimate nuff material ans so ironic. Happy to be ‘that team’ in 2016, but it’s now a pity party for us.
  22. I’ve been worried about that too. Now I’m worried tht if we wear the red backs, will they even have a longsleeve version with a red back? Im really stressed now
  23. Which begs the question, will Ed Langdon be wearing longsleeves? It’s been troubling me all week
