I’d take Jackson in a heartbeat, if they want Koz he’d be my starting point.

Time to go Goody?
It's the coach/s, the success stemmed from them and the failures stem from them.

Time to go Goody?
So JVR is soft and we should jettison Rivers. This is going to be some great reading after today’s rout.

GAMEDAY: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit, of all the years for my daughter to want to go to the footy every week. I'm expecting us to get completely torched so anything outside of that will be a relief. If I was Goodwin I'd be ringing Longmuir and asking him to go easy.

Time to go Goody?
When a large percentage or almost all your players regress year on year, particularly the young ones I'd look at the coach/s first. We had the best contest and defence game in the comp, it won us a flag in 21 and bar some unfortunate injuries probably would of won us another in 23, add in a top 4 finish in 22 and that's 3 damn good years playing a brand that stacks up beautifully in finals. Then along comes the fast transition game, we recruit some outside running types, bomb out in 24 and then change the game style in 25. In my humble opinion we didn't need to change our plan, it needed some tweaking. We needed to start lowering our eyes forward of centre and get our forwards to start leading at the ball carrier. Use the stars to their best ability, get them extracting and feeding the ball out to the young en's to use their skills to hit up leading targets inside 50. Is it really that complicated? In this case the ball carrier would hopefully be Windsor, Bowey, Lindsay, Langford, basically the best kickers in the team. We look all at sea out there atm, it's not helping that an ageing May looks done and Lever can't get on the park. On top of that Gawn is fast losing his dominance. Throw in the fact that Oliver, Petracca and Viney are woeful disposers of the ball and we have what we have. Personally I blame the coach/s. It's there job to know the players and get the best out of them. For mine Goodwin's cards are marked, it's time for some fresh eyes and a few ego's to be taken down a peg or 2.

Time to go Goody?
To clarify, I don't have inside knowledge. I'm just predicting the club with Smith at the helm and a capable CEO we will be able to attract the coach and assistants we need. I'd say it's Goodwin's last year.

Awesome, don’t forget

Time to go Goody?
I’m not implying I know anything. I do know though that there’s more than a few worthy assistants we can chase to become coach. We have the makings of a strong list that will help attract good people. I also have faith in Green, Smith and co. to make good decisions. But go ahead and bookmark it if proving people wrong floats your boat.

Time to go Goody?
I’m confident there’s an assistant coach out there who would love our list.

Kolt looks a little like a deer in the headlights. He just needs to calm that energy as he’s a pretty good disposer of the ball.

Time to go Goody?
I reckon we’ll go pretty hard at the right people.

PREGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
My guess is they were happy May was over his PF. The groin injury likely took them by surprise.

Time to go Goody?
In I think we’ll get beat by 65 points and I feel that’s being kind.

TRAINING: Friday 17th April 2025
No they were all inside 50 but the kids nor the parents could find them. Turned out they were all out of bounds in the forward pocket.

Time to go Goody?
Things I'll be putting on the whiteboard pregame Effort 2 way running from the HF's, HB's and mids, we simply have to get back to help the defence otherwise we're toast. Tackling and Pressure not to fall below 180 and regularly pushing 200, I want gang tackles, I want the occasional free against because we went too hard. Forwards leading Oliver, Petracca, Rivers and Viney looking for a forward or inside handball. Oliver and Viney banned from kicking. Petty to make Treacy earn every touch, like really earn it. RUN, RUN, RUN. Give me that and I'll cop a loss but it'll be close.

PREGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
It’s not like he works so hard he’d be tired 🤓

NON-MFC: Round 06
The Pies aren’t that fast they just move the ball quickly. Constant movement forward then if they cough it up they get back and force the opponent down the line. They work incredibly hard.

What gets you excited about the club?
After watching Collingwood dismantle Brisbane, nothing about football excites me.
