  1. Good heartfelt interview. He’s the kind of professional that could easily be playing good football at 35. Wouldn’t it be awesome if he drag Oliver there as well. That’d really mess with the media’s agenda.

I’m on holiday the next few weeks so I’m looking ahead ! I know that’s not allowed. Just see me as the forward scout without the badges and weird neck tie thing they wear.

    I meant our first
  4. I think one of the things that’s important to remember with Spargo is he’s spent a fair chunk of time out of the game. The club sees his upside and clearly believe he’s worth the investment of time to get him up to his best. If he can string 12-14 solid games together then I think we’ll see continued improvement in his game. I’m a believer that he makes us better. I’m also a believer that his current output is not his ceiling and if it was I think he’d be playing at Casey. He’s a guy who will also benefit hugely from a full preseason.

Agreed, must win the winnable’s. I think we can beat Collingwood, Adelaide, Hawthorn and the GC on our current, low injury trajectory. The Dogs look awesome atm and I love watching the way they play so I think they’re the toughest match up. Carlton also seem to keep finding away to beat us since Kozzies 22 heroics. The Pies are the ones who keep finding a way to win against basically all opposition. I reckon as much as Goodwin only has Sydney on his mind he’ll have been working on ways to beat them. Staying injury free is the key. We get a charmed run and then it’s game on baby!

I’m confident he’ll be fine. I think now with so few injuries we can give him a run of games at Casey to help with his game and confidence
  7. What it shows is not only how clean he is but how courageous. He simply doesn’t take his eyes off the ball. There’s a couple of wins in those highlights that are seriously brave and composed. Considering we’ve still got McVee building into his best form there’s a lot to like about how our defence is evolving and will continue to evolve post May, Salem and McDonald. I mean there’s Petty, Lindsay and Turner already playing. Get JVR and Fritsch playing well again and we’re in a strong position. How much better is winning.
  8. It’s why I’m shocked guys like Hoyne aren’t on the telecast. I’m guessing one of the reasons we don’t see this type of analysis during games is currently there’s not enough tv performers with the knowledge to do it. It’s bound to happen soon enough. The AFL website shows where they’re at. Has anyone ever read an informative article on afl.com. It’s embarrassingly poor journalism.
  9. 40,000 plus would have to be seen as a good crowd.

I think the bulk of us are guilty of weekly or monthly changes of heart. Footy’s an emotional game and winning is everything. It’s also hard at times to filter the media noise, the mates footy wattsapp opinions and the Demonland analysis and come up with your own individual opinion, especially as a lot of what we see and read isn’t based on the kind of analysis that we’ve all just seen from Jeff White. The better the analysis we watch and take in the more informed and nuanced our opinions can be. At the end of the day though we all need a good vent and footy’s the perfect outlet.
  11. 2028!! I haven’t given up on 2025 yet and am expecting 2026 is already ours.
  12. Why oh why don’t we get this during breaks and post match during AFL broadcasts. Maybe someone should set up a YouTube channel that does this during the breaks in play. Do they seriously think no one is interested in actual analysis?
  13. I hope Grundy is in career best form as it will make Max’s game even more impressive.

👍Can’t wait for the KB game. It really looks as a must win for me. As confidence builds so does the need to keep winning. I watch Essendon and North play and just think how the hell did we lose those matches??

That’s giving up too much imo. I’d prefer Jackson demand to be traded and we give this years and next years firsts and maybe some steak knives.
  16. I think when Goodwin went on 360 and then again at that weeks presser and said that the media had completely made up the story about a guy with mental health concerns they may have finally got the message. Stop [censored] with us.
  17. Just a heads up Kev, I’m currently in Lombok so I’ll need reports no later than 1.30 to allow for the time difference. The 4 o’clock deadline is and always will be 4 o'clock in my Timezone. If you could pass that onto Mr. Wallbanger that would be appreciated.

Well I only do those with a best case scenario attitude. I’m actually not overly fussed about the ladder atm. If we can stay largely injury free and keep improving then I think the year is still alive. I’m also seeing optimism for the future. I find it funny how many people think ruckman are overrated. Max was unstoppable when it mattered on the weekend. It’s why I think going hard for Jackson is such a smart move. With White and Sinnema likely additions we can pretty much throw everything else at Freo if he wants to leave.

    I got 16 and then 15 so I went with the 16
  20. Pretty sure Gawn was crook that night. I’m expecting an absolute master class from Gawn this weekend. Grundy will be wishing he’d retired.
  21. It is starting to feel like what the club has been putting out on a few fronts is more genuine than in the past. It just may turn out that dropping those first 5 games, weathering the storm and negative focus has bought the group closer together rather than further apart. Adversity can swing both ways. The win against Brisbane must feel so good within the 4 walls. The fact the club got Koz’s Dad to do what must be one of our best indigenous guernsey’s (although I’ve generally been impressed with all of them) and we’ve gone away as a group for a big win must really solidify the group. Long may it continue and long may Kysaiah Klem Paul Kropinyeri-Pickett remain a Demon.
  22. That’s complete rubbish. They pulled Chandler off after he kicked a goal and showed him whatever they showed him. These guys have cut the tape to make it look like they pulled him after this mis kick. The media are so full of 💩
  23. Don’t forget his pinpoint pass to Melksham in the last. Won us the game!
  24. If Lindsay misses then Viney replaces him
