In fairness we came very close in 23 despite our injuries. However we’ve been ordinary across most levels of management other than Jason Taylor and drafting. It certainly feels very much like Goodwin simply lacked the top end support to really capitalise on his coaching and players. Guerra and Smith have done work to do.

We’re fast becoming Essendon. Can ill afford to lose a 22 year class player for a weak pick in a weak draft. We finish low the next few years with Tassie coming in and we’re literally toast. I really hope the management know what they’re doing because it’s crunch time.

Tasmanians want the team, it’ll have tremendous support and if the AFL do their job it will reinvigorate local clubs that have been neglected and dying for years. Problem being corporates with little care want a shiny new toy to guffaw in and they’ll just push a dud deal through at the expense of Tasmania. Imagine the pressure coming to bear on independent senators to ignore another damning review of the stadium. Embarrassing.

As someone who grew up watching Robbie Flower play footy I have little time for those who aren’t all in, especially those who it would seem would love to play for Collingwood. To think so many wanted Buckley as our coach…..sheesh what a week!

This is a good point. It still appears he wants out and for mine it’s best we facilitate that.

Or pay him $5.8million to supply $3million of output and potentially stop us getting some more young A grade talent. I get that it looks kind of ridiculous but as has been said Collingwood have been paying Treloar and Grundy over $500,000. In what world do we line up with Petracca, Oliver and Viney and improve our win/loss? The changes need to continue and it’s pretty apparent he’s still keen to leave.

We need high picks and quality players who want to be here, who are prepared to play what is a brutally tough and contested game. I just don't see a world where that's Tracc. I also don't see a club handing over high picks and or quality players and paying all of his contract. I'm also of the mind that he's just not the guy we really hoped he'd turn out to be, he should be our Dangerfield, maybe he'll be someone else's? Just say Taylor turns pick 6 into another Langford or Lindsay, we get Flanders and we're losing some cash on the side, which in effect we're saving having Pick 6 rather than Petracca anyway.

And yes I'm going to Boo him.......I always boo with a smile as it's quite ridiculous to boo a Champion but here we are!
