  1. Pressure and contest aren't really a game style, they're a prerequisite to disarming the opposition. Watch our game against Brisbane, we literally wore them out which is exactly what we have to do on Monday.
  2. I think he has rethought his approach, we're playing quite differently to the last few years. You have to remember that he's learning as well. He's likely a much better coach now than he was in 2020. If you want to win finals it's all about pressure and contest. Our plan is clearly still forward half based but with better transition from turnover, something that's been clearly apparent in our wins. Is it time for a change of coach?......Possibly as everyone has a use by date. I still think he'll be with us next year and hopefully we can add some talent at the end of the season and be cherry ripe for 2026. If we lose 2-3 out of the next few weeks I'd be getting games into Adam's, JVR and Jefferson and setting ourselves for a monster preseason. Get any surgeries done early and build for 2026. If of course we start winning then we may as well push for the flag this year as well.
  3. I was at the Whitten Oval the day he broke Terry Wallace's jaw. You heard the smack, the ball did just leave the area but it was poor judgement on Grinter's behalf and something I reckon he's no proud of. As for Brereton he was of an incredibly talented player who loved getting in the face of the opposition. I liked him and wished he played for us.
  4. Brereton wasn’t a thug like Matthews. Matthews was a cowardly thug.
  5. Oh that’s sad.
  6. Have we got a team yet?
  7. You’ve still got to have a body that can go up. Imagine Gawn gets injured and there’s no coverage.
  8. No need to embarrass the Pies just yet
  9. I think we’ll win and if we do get beat it’ll be less than 4 goals, 2 of them late.
  10. On form Jefferson gets a game but we need a back up ruckman so I think JVR will get the nod. I’d be surprised if they are both bought in. Personally I’d be bringing in TMac for Lever but that’s unlikely.
  11. Has our fitness dropped? We’ve actually run out games well the last 6 weeks, we’ve largely got a full list bar 2 impact injuries. I don’t think it’s our fitness holding us back. That’s not to say I wouldn’t take Burgess back.
  12. It’s our biggest test, our form is pretty good barring last week. I get the feeling we won’t be leaving anything out there.
  13. They may or may not look much but they’re elite by every metric.
  14. Give me the updates. You keep me in the loop I’ll put you in charge of the reporters
  15. You’re not the first to suggest he gets a go forward.
  16. We beat the Pies, Viney ready to go post bye, JVR returning to form, no new injuries and then Koz says he’s going nowhere and signs on for 7 years for $9million.
  17. Limit the Daicos’s, check Pendles and Sidepart and we’re away. I’m quietly confident that we’ll win this week.
  18. I’ll put up the 2nd partner I just won!
  19. We’ll win this. We’re coming nicely into our sweet spot. Pity about Viney but we can cover. I’d love to see Culley get a game and think his big body would be useful. I’ve little doubt we’ve set ourselves for this week. Expecting a solid crowd and a rapturous 6-8 renditions of our favourite song.
  20. Out: AJ, Laurie In: JVR, Culley Sharp has to be sub
  21. I’ll tell you what’s poor spending, a $1.4 billion stadium in Tasmania that you can’t play cricket at. I just found this out and honestly thought it must be a joke. It’s a lot of money for a handful of AFL games in front of say 15,000 and some concerts.
  22. Not going to happen but the kid is certainly showing some talent.
  23. Correct me if I’m wrong but this is the AFL pushing a stadium down the throats of a State that can’t afford it. Pretty sure the overwhelming bulk of Tasmanian’s want the team but only a minority want the stadium. Thing is Dillon is committed and considering what a mess he’s making of his leadership he really needs a victory here. The stadium and surrounding improvements including transport won’t cost less than $1.4 billion, that’s a lot of teachers and nurses.
  24. I’m the Boss, we all know that.
  25. I’m here for you Harv.
