I don’t see our problems as list issues, which is not saying we can’t improve in that area. I’m of the opinion on that MacRae would have this list in the top handful. Collingwood’s list is thin, Frampton, Markov and there’s others all slot into a system that is so well drilled that they keep winning. So where does that leave us? I’m ready for a new coach but get it wrong and we really are in trouble as we could easily do worse. We weren’t miles off this season but again the same issues persist which has to fall on the coaches. One point to remember in all this is Goodwin was also dealt the Oliver and Petracca disasters. They weren’t his fault and he’s now playing his 2 Aces when in actual fact he’s holding a 10 of spades and a Jack of Clubs. Put those 2 back at their very best and we possibly aren’t having this conversation. Imagine if Richmond after 2017 had a 20% drop in form from Martin and Cotchin? Anyway I’ll continue to oscillate from absurd confidence to general malaise. At least Kozz ain’t leaving at years end!

I get that but he’s contracted and has been good at Casey. Sharp offers little and Tholstrup’s all fizz and no bang. JVR and Jefferson should be given a month to show if they can be our forwards.

Not sold on the changes. Not sure what Sharp brings, Tholstrup has no form, Jefferson is vanilla but the cheap type. I’d of kept JVR, dropped Viney and Lever and bought in Jefferson and Laurie, who surely deserves a run. Melksham as sub. If May gets flogged then it’s Adam’s time.

If we go into next season with the The 3 Butchers in the midfield and our 21 defensive pillars we may as well not bother.

Having just watched the 360 segment I’m really not sure what else people expect from Goodwin. He answers the questions, explains his reasoning around quality of entries and provides a bit of hope regarding Caulfield. He does that whilst being clearly under an enormous amount of pressure. He knows the metrics that he’s judged by. I’m happy for him to be replaced but canning him on these segments is absurd.

I’m hoping we’re looking at who can we use to get the picks we need to attract some top end talent. Of course I want McVee to stay but if he’s keen to explore going home let’s use that to our advantage in attracting a ready to go replacement like Bergman.

McVee, Windsor, Lindsay, Langford, Bowey, Pickett and Turner are all looking like becoming excellent players, as good as the top half dozen at any club. It’s fine to be down on this year, the game plan and the kicking for goal but we have the young talent already on the list.

Because our senior players can’t kick the ball 20m to a target, behave like Prima Donna’s and oversized 4 year olds. Past Gawn the leadership vacuum would suck the smell out of a dog blanket.

I think this is how I’m feeling as well. I think Goodwin will stay but I’d be happy for change

McVee Lindsay Langford Windsor Pickett Turner Chandler Rivers Bowey Howes JVR Tholstrup I’d throw in Petty, AMW, others would have Jeffferson in. Mentha may develop, Culley may prove useful. Then you’ve potentially got Kalani White who could be a the next Sam Darcy or a bust. There’s a really good start to a solid team but you wallow in whatever you enjoy wallowing in.

He’s coming to Melbourne who have promising young talent and some respectable veterans. Carlton have respectable veterans but no promising young talent. They’re on the fast road to irrelevance again and personally I’m loving having you alongside Essendon as long time losers.

So you watched us through the 80’s and 2000’s but you won’t watch us now?

I really hope we’re a little more aggressive at trades than we normally are. Partly to keep me entertained but also because we need 2-3 good kickers and we’ll likely need to use players to get them. We can’t go into next year with the same 23.

There’s no excuses this year which is why the entire football department needs to be looked at at years end. We’ve underperformed on the only important metric, winning games. I think Goodwin survives because he’s contracted and appears to have the necessary support. I can’t see a world where Richardson has a job. Tim Lamb needs to work some serious magic on this list whilst it’s still possible.
