Sorry but Hodge has every right to comment on a players body language. Take a look at the vision, it’s not flattering to one of our highest paid senior players. I’ve got little idea of any behind the scenes workings at the club and it’s likely not as bad as it’s being portrayed but we’re not the victim here. I’m tentatively bullish on the list but we really need a strong coach (Daly for mine) and some realistic list and assistant decisions. Feels like a fork in the road…..but I feel I’ve said that before!

Send May to North for a packet of chips, Lever can stay if the new coaches think he fits their plan. Petty and Turner as the key backs. JVR and hopefully one of Derksen and Kentfield become AFL key forwards (Feels a bit Santa Claus is real but who knows what a new coach can do) Then there's Adams who wasn't horrible yesterday considering who the Dogs have as tall forwards. My concern lies with our seemingly mediocre ADMIN thinking we can just saddle up the same old setup and push for finals like I and others thought we could do this year and probably last. We can't, we need to add talent to the list before we're a serious contender again. We're not miles away but we could be in 3 years time with the wrong approach.

I actually agree re Jefferson. I thought he was terrible early but he didn't drop his head and often got to the right spots, competed relatively hard and is clearly as nervous as a kid on his first day at a new school. Maybe a new coaching staff would help.

I've been offline a few days, just catching up, oh wait nothing's happened.Surely he can now take your man Jefferson with him. Christ Picket, his game today was worse than bad. Zero impact.Frustrating as per our new standard. If Jefferson is AFL standard then so am I, sheesh he’s ordinary. Apologies to the bloke but fair dinkum. Thankfully JVR reminded us that he’s an AFL footballer. We should bow out of the season now, it’s too painful to watch.Personally I’d offer May to Nth Melbourne and play Petty at full back. I’m of the opinion on that MacRae would have this list in the top handful. Collingwood’s list is thin, Frampton, Markov and there’s others all slot into a system that is so well drilled that they keep winning. So where does that leave us? I’m ready for a new coach but get it wrong and we really are in trouble as we could easily do worse. We weren’t miles off this season but again the same issues persist which has to fall on the coaches. One point to remember in all this is Goodwin was also dealt the Oliver and Petracca disasters. They weren’t his fault and he’s now playing his 2 Aces when in actual fact he’s holding a 10 of spades and a Jack of Clubs. Put those 2 back at their very best and we possibly aren’t having this conversation. Imagine if Richmond after 2017 had a 20% drop in form from Martin and Cotchin? Anyway I’ll continue to oscillate from absurd confidence to general malaise.
