I haven't seen AMW enough at AFL level to know for sure and he may well end up forward. You're second point is possibly due more to gameplan than his attributes. I think at his best in a well drilled team he's finding teammates forward of centre. You've also got to remember that our defence as a whole has been way down on its best the last 2 years. That alone will impact Judd without the issues i've mentioned in a previous post. Let's hope King can unlock the puzzle. Goodwin was no slouch as a coach though so it remains to be seen.

I think that underates him considering as a team we lack good ball users. Remember his preseason was largely ruined with a serious hamstring injury and he was playing as a lock down defender which isn't his best position, that's where I hope AMW fits into the team. As a running HB and distributor I think we have a really good player and I'm hoping he stays.

I’d say as applicants are crossed off the list their managers release the “he blew them away” statements” so as to keep their images on the up. In my mind Buckley isn’t and never was the choice. King comes with an impeccable CV. How anyone can be disappointed is beyond me.

I’m more talking about the unsettling of the Cats campaign than any “rules”. Sadly we need the Cats to beat Collingwood in the likely GF. God that’s a dire situation we all find ourselves in. At least we have Essendon.

I just want the selection committee to choose the best head coach and just the head coach without fear or favour. That’s not an easy task considering Buckley is the apparent front runner and there’s every chance we’re going to be cautious. I always feel better when I say the same thing in 12 different ways 😎

Unfortunately AFL is a corporate beast and with that comes the behaviours of that beast. Ethics and morals barely exist, if at all. It’s money and power and you either play the game or end up like Essendon. We have to play the game as it’s only going to get worse.

That’s exactly his role on this Forum. He’s actually quite chirpy atm. Is it Grumpy or just a dry humour? I see it as dry humour and enjoy the posts. You can’t deny that neither Flanders nor Derksen change the dial.

That’s the problem I see with the process. The Board will lean Buckley because he’s the safest bet and he can likely stabilise and build the Brand…..corporate bullsith for covering our inability to grow the club successfully since winning a Flag. I’d love Buckley doing Richardson’s job or the new overseer role but give me the next best coach amongst the next wave. Do I sound like a broken record? 🙃

Just select anyone but the mediocre ex Collingwood coach who hasn’t coached a team since he was sacked in 21. I just don’t get the love, I think most of you just hear he’s the favourite and rally behind him in hope it’ll all work out.
