  1. Both very good players in their own right. Lever can finally play to his strengths now that Thommo can take the other opposition KPF. He is an outstanding intercept player who just reads the play so well. Fingers crossed he can stay fit and healthy because, other than injury, on current form and trajectory he’ll be an AA for sure.
  2. Reckon we softened up the Tiges last week and the doggies will capitalise this week. I think the Doggies will account for them pretty easily actually. 5-6 goal win in fact
  3. All his best mates are signed up, the team is playing really well and the future looks very bright. He'll sign for sure.
  4. Feels great to be relevant for once
  5. You need to fight against your MFCSS Siam. A changing weather forecast is not going to derail. And in case you hadn't noticed, North are terrible.
  6. Personally, I don’t feel any need to hear from the President. I’d prefer she stay in the background and focus on securing our new home base. That’s more than enough to keep her occupied.
  7. Our defensive work this year has been amazing. May and Lever get most of the plaudits and rightly so but Thommo has been a revelation. I watched him for a quarter during the Geelong game. He manned up against Hawkins after May went down and more than held his own. Great positional sense and really strong in the marking contest. Rarely loses a 1 on 1. He held Hawkins to 2 goals that day which is no mean feat. Heard him speak on the Sunday Footy show and he seems like a smart cookie. He and May can handle any KPF duo in the league allowing Lever to take a lesser light and peel off and play his intercept marking role. I was starting to doubt his recruitment but boy has he come good.
  8. We have a run of games, probably the best run for the remainder of the season, where we can tweak and play around with different options. I don’t like jeopardising form and get the logic of not changing a winning team. But form loss and injuries will happen. Better to have looked at options in different positions now through experimentation rather than enforced. We have got to get BB into this team. He is A-grade. Makes zero sense leaving him to play at Casey waiting for form loss or injury to get his chance. Get him in now.
  9. I take your point. I think we will win handily as well. I guess my point is beating a bottom team by a big margin doesn't tell us a whole lot about how we will go in September.
  10. I doubt that somehow. Reckon beating the premiers, at their own game, tells us way more than beating up on a cellar dweller
  11. I look at North and see us during the Neeld era. I can't help but feel sorry for them. 10 goal win minimum.
  12. Hibbo's tagging job on dusty. Easy to forget about but vital to the win.
  13. Agree about the game. North are at rock bottom and have a long hard road ahead of them. They have won more premierships than us recently and in terms of irrelevancy stakes we're putting our first serious season together in a lift time (2018 was a good run to finals but we were patchy all through that season). We're been a joke club for way too long so some self awareness about that fact wouldn't go astray on this thread. Stay classy Folks
  14. They are in a tough spot (that we know only too well), but still plenty of contempt for the Dees in that thread. If we dish out a thrashing to them, I won’t mind.
  15. Brad Hill epitomises where they are at present. Lost
  16. Wish we were playing the saints twice this year. They're hopeless.
  17. There's an epidemic of throwing in the game. Sidebottoms throw just now was blatant.
  18. In addition to the pieces that were already there, May, Lever, Maxy, midfield, Langdon etc. Our small forward pressure has gone to the next level. Thommos rock solid role down back freeing up Lever for the intercept role he's perfect for Gus playing the defensive wing position very competently Our ruck combo. LJ freeing up Gawn to move forward and back as circumstances require. Just need to add BB. Once he's integrated into the team we have the last piece in our premiership puzzle.
  19. Adelaide have taken 15 marks inside 50 in the first 3 quarters. They'll be doing well to take 2 marks against May, Lever and Thommo when we play them in round 10.
  20. Spargo's tackle on Bachar Houli (I think it was Houli)
  21. Riley Thilthorpe looks a real player. 5 snags on debut. Very strong in the marking contest.
  22. Adelaide are dead eye. 11 straight. Whats the record for consecutive goals kicked.
  23. Neita is a class act. Great speech.

Once a nick name sticks there’s no point railing against it. If people know it riles you they will just go harder. You got to embrace it and turn the tables. So if the Tiges fan gives a lame jibe in your face just remind of the game last night saying “Snow contest”
  25. I agree with all that. They were sly and underhanded throughout. Didn't expect from them, with the exception of Lynch.
