  1. I thought our season was going down in flames after the pies fiasco but credit to the team and coaching staff we’ve really turned it around. The move of Daisy to full forward has been inspired. Her poise was the difference today dribbling the 4th goal and setting up Gay for the winner. I doubt we’ll improve our ladder position so most likely inter-state finals. It’ll take a herculean effort to win it from here but after the grit and fight we’ve shown the last 2 weeks I wouldn’t back against us. Go Dees.
  2. I hope the girls reminded Roxy Roux what the score was at full time.
  3. My heart isn't able for this. superb win. What a joy to watch these girls play
  4. We've wilted badly. It's one way traffic now.
  5. the commentary is now on mute. Schofield is insufferable
  6. there is nothing wrong with kicking down the line. really dumb turnover.
  7. He's starting to get very annoying
  8. Very soft free kick
  9. 4 goals to the good at half time. Great position to be in. Its hot over there so hopefully the girls will be able to withstand the heat in the second half
  10. Freo goal kicking deplorable. Worse than there men's team and thats saying something.
  11. Hanks has plenty of time but blazed away at the kick inside 50. Should have hit a target. Needs to improve that side of her game.
  12. Excellent ball movement. Hitting targets. Carving through Freo.
  13. This is a super start. 3 goals to zip early.
  14. Huge win for the saints. Showed real grit. We'll need to up our performance levels significantly next weekend if we hope to win.
  15. I don’t think intent is a factor when grading. The Adelaide player was out cold before he hit the ground. I think it will be graded severe so he’ll get 3 games.
  16. 4. Goal kicking
  17. Brilliant stoppage goal from Tom Green. Serious composure for a second year player.
  18. 6. May – rock solid 5. Lever – best game for us 4. TMac – didn’t think he had it in him anymore 3. Spargo – sat the doubters down 2. Langdon – what a banana kick and ran all day 1. Jordon – mightily impressive debut. Honourable mention to Oliver and Trac (I’m sure they’ll get plenty of votes throughout the season).
  19. A win is a win is a win. Better than a loss. Positives: Spargo - clean, composed, we have to get the ball into his hands as much as possible Jordon – excellent debut, used the ball well, some nice I50 deliveries and kicked his goal TMac – couldn’t give him away during the trade period but we lose that game yesterday without him. He’ll make me eat my words if he keeps this up. Real defensive solidity. Teams will find I50 marks hard come by against us this year. Smashed in the clearances but still won. Not sure if that’s a positive or negative but Yze needs to work overtime this week to sort out that hot mess. Gawn will dominate again against the saints. We have to figure out how to translate his dominance into winning clearances. Negative: Our goal kicking. It’s putrid. I can’t understand how professionals can be so poor in the absolute fundamental requirement of the game, kicking the ball between the big sticks. Fritsch again was very wayward (but not alone). How is this being coached? Is the problem between the ears? Probably worthy of a separate thread. Onward to marvel we go. The saints are there for the taking.
  20. Congrats. Say goodbye to uninterrupted sleep and weekend lie ins.
  21. I'm happy for him as well. But he's a Carlton player now. He’s not our concern anymore.
  22. Not his best game for us today. Played within himself, lacked a bit of confidence. We need his swagger if we're to beat the saints next week
  23. Where, where? There there
  24. If only 3 games left then no matter what we are in the top 4 at the end of the round.
  25. I’d prefer if he played the team role rather than racking up the stats.
