AFL Trade Radio
Hard to argue with too much of that. Iām hopeful though that someone picks him up as defensive depth but weāll be paying a chunk of his salary, half or so I reckon. If he doesnāt move then its Casey next year and a negotiated pay-out in 2022.

TMac on the Trade Table?
One of the main issues (amongst many) I have with him staying and fighting it out for the lesser roles is heāll stunt the development of younger players like Petty who are the future. Likewise trying to convert him into a winger when we should be giving Baker a run to see what heās made of. Up forward Jackson is the future and should be playing as 3rd tall. If he stays heās cover for injuries or emergencies. Otherwise heāll see out his days at Casey. As Iāve said before there is no role for TMac at the club. Very unfortunate how things worked out but its best for the MFC and TMac to part ways. The club needs to acknowledge the situation and just move him on. Pay a chunk of his salary and be done with it. If Tom is happy to collect his fat paycheck he needs to know that heāll be playing in the 2ās. No shoe-horning or re-purposing. We have youngers who deserve a go. Tom has had his chance.

TMac on the Trade Table?
Just read through that tread. All that hope and optimism. Who'd want to be a footy supporter!

TMac on the Trade Table?
There was plenty of interest from rival clubs at the time. Would you have let him walk rather than give him the 4 years?

TMac on the Trade Table?
Professional pride perhaps. I know money and an income are important but Iād like to think that playing is the most important thing in your career. Why play in the 2ās if you can hold down a spot on another team even if it is for less money.

Rumour only file ...
This trade is far from certain and will go down to the wire.

Non-MFC trades and player movements 2020
I think his drug bust completely stuffed his trade value (and his salary expectations). A second rounder is the most they could expect so Pick 23 is probably the best they could hope for in the circumstances.

AFL Trade Radio
Just listening to Mahoney. My take: Weāre in for Phillips Treloar unlikely but he didn't rule it out. Gave the impression a lot will need to play out to make it possible.

AFL Trade Radio
I didn't catch while listening but Iāve googled and found this on fox sports. Pretty sure this is what they were talking about. PIESā KEY 2021 PICK ON THE TABLE Collingwood are reportedly open to parting with their 2021 first-round draft pick, in another sign the club is set to be one of the most active this trade period. Foxfooty.com.au has confirmed AFL Mediaās report that the Pies would be willing to deal for its future first-round selection, given the club is set to pickup father-son prodigy Nick Daicos, who could go with pick No.1.

TMac on the Trade Table?
Unless his injuries are terminal I reckon there will be clubs prepared to take a punt. I think itāll be a question of how much of his salary weāre prepared to pay to move him on. I reckon weāll have to cough up half or so. More than that and I think heās probably worth keeping as depth.

AFL Trade Radio
I listened to the post interview discussion and fan call in which centred mainly on Stephenson. He didnāt disclose anything new regarding Treloar other than itāll be difficult to bring players in unless he is moved out. Doesnāt sound like they are interested in TMac. No mention of Tom Phillips There was a reference to the first round pick being on the table. Didnāt catch whether this years or next.

Ned Guy is lined up for a 12.30pm slot on trade radio today. I'll be tuning into that interview for sure.

Trade Targets
My estimation of Mahoney would go through the roof if he can construct a deal for Menegola. Youād think Gus would have to be sacrificed and TMacās salary freed up to make it happen though. I havenāt heard any whispers whatsoever linking him to us so its just wishful thinking for now but if he gettable then we should take a hard look.

Dees Biggest Trade Hits & Misses
Good shout. I canāt think of a player weāve let slip through our fingers whoās had a greater impact elsewhere. Imagine if we had Papley running around for us now.?

I love your optimism ?

Dees Biggest Trade Hits & Misses
His wasn't a bad kick in a time when we weren't over endowed in that area....but let's not go there ?

Dees Biggest Trade Hits & Misses
Iād argue trading in a future bnf winner for pick 23 beats is a better bargain than the watts for pick 31 Fritsch deal. Of course with time the Fritsch could prove better.

Dees Biggest Trade Hits & Misses
I'd throw Bernie Vince in there as a very good trade. He was a BNF after all. Weāve traded pretty well over the journey. I mean, those busts arenāt exactly Fev to Brisbane or Lovett to St Kilda Our drafting (and probably development) is what let us down for many years.

TMac on the Trade Table?
Brown will likely cost a second rounder and Smith was a FA. I would say thatās very inexpensive business. TMac gets a lot of love and justifiably so. Heās a good sort and we all wish things could have turned out differently but heās no longer best 22. The FD have moved on from Tmac in a defensive role a long time ago. With Brown joining the forward set-up heāll play a bit part role at best. It doesnāt suit us to have a high earning back-up. I donāt think its fair on Tom to keep him as back-up. I donāt think he wants to be back-up. We should work with his manager to ensure a trade gets done. If we have to pay a chunk of his salary so be it. It's the right time for TMac to seek pastures new. If he moves and shows good form next year Iāll be very happy for him.

Mahoney's Trade Plan
I'd like to know what @Dr evil take on this is? What's your intel telling you?
-
Mahoney's Trade Plan
To summarise: Weāll back in a number of our players: āWeāll back in a number of players we have on our list currently, and give more opportunities to the likes of Oskar Baker, James Harmes, Jayden Hunt and Adam Tomlinson who can all play a similar type of roleā But consider opportunities should they present themselves - āLike every Trade/Draft Period, we are looking to improve our list, we are looking at completing some trades during this period, but you never quite know how active you will be until Trade Period starts. There are going to be a lot of scenarios thrown up on the whiteboard, and as we do every Trade Period, weāll try to walk out at the end knowing our list is stronger and that weāve given ourselves a good opportunity to be better as a team again next yearā I think heās just joshing. He's given himself plenty of latitude to chase any targets that emerge without sign posting our intentions to other clubs.

Adam Treloar
What do you think is the right price AF?

Adam Treloar
Typically I only to see Melbourne games but this year, with the boredom of lockdown, Iāve watched pretty much every game in the league. As such, my perception is heavily biased towards this year.
