I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt because she’s conflicted given it was her teammate that was on the wrong end of the tackle. Her comments about Bowers..would never want a fellow professional rubbed out…she’s a good competitor…good for her she’s available to play.. are very trite. I’m a big fan of Daisy and her analysis but this is not her best work. It’s as plain as day Bowers should have been banned. I hope in private Daisy thinks the same.

I’ve no axe to grind with Gus but for mine he was the obvious inside mid to offer up for trade last year. Viney has his flaws but he's been a good leader over the journey. Unless a player is naturally versatile then trying to convert them rarely works. Gus is an inside mid. Just play him there or else cut him loose. I reckon their trade value was similar. If we had swapped out Brayshaw and brought in Phillips we would be well ahead imv. Missed opportunity.

I'd like a home qualifying final I'd prefer if we avoided Collingwood altogether given the shellacking they doled out to us in round 5. As well as we are playing at the moment a beating like that leaves psychological scars.

If TMac continues to play like he did on the weekend then Weid is no certainty to be ahead of him in the pecking order.

Nice work but really difficult after just the one round to get a sense of every teams form. Maybe after 3-4 rounds we’ll have a better read. The positive after one round is we have beaten a team that we lost to last year. So using last year as the base line we’re already ahead. I think we’ll split the next 2 with Geelong looking very winnable now that they are without Danger. Start 3-1, build some momentum and we’re in good shape with BB and the Weid to return.

Has a real upbeat, positive demeanour about him. Spoke from the heart and in uplifting terms at last years b&f when everyone else was in the doldrums. Very authentic, born leader and motivator. You can just tell he's happy to be here. We’re really lucky to have this bloke running around for us.

Viney for Harmes Otherwise leave a winning team as is. Not sure about Melks. He was a passenger last year. Hibberd is a favourite but his best days are behind him. I’d be nervous with both him and Jetta in the same backline. Sparrow and Rivers will be better for the run out so back them in.
