  1. I replied to this before the threads were merged, but it doesn’t appear here.
  2. Who’d have thought one would be censored for calling BT an id i0t? It’s his middle name!
  3. I’m not sure BT even knows the rules. There have been lots of examples over the weeks of this. Today, I think it was Lever who was tackled and just got his foot to the ball. BT insisted it should have been HTB. “Huh? He kicked it, you [censored].” (Sorry, re-living it.) And then there is just his ignorance... Earlier this round he needed Hodge to explain an intercept mark.
  4. Good work Joeboy. Can I add one? Brown : Hopes Jackson unfit
  5. We’re getting a lot of mentions of “dribble”. Unless it’s about a trickle or basketball, the word is drivel. Ie, nonsense. There, I’ve said it!
  6. Forgive me, but I find this strange.
  7. Hey... me too. But 73kg. The same weight since I was 21. This is probably my greatest achievement in life. ? I just turned 70. My last game was 37 years ago for Murrumbeena.
  8. Good thing you didn’t.
  9. It’s not a ridiculous suggestion and no doubt one day it will happen. PS. Sounds like your wife is smarter than the umpires.
  10. Don’t forget natural growth and experience. With players, 100 games is often cited as the number it takes before we start to see their best. Maybe the same is true of coaches.
  11. Yes. Put me down for a drumstick.
  12. You may find that more difficult than you think. I believe you must first achieve a certain number of posts before changing your name. I suggest you appeal to the Administrators if you are initially turned down. Cheers
  13. I’m glad we’re not talking about a three-peat. Because that would be getting ahead of ourselves.
  14. from Fox Sports: “Welcome back, James Harmes! The midfielder was best on ground, according to the Official AFL Player Ratings, recording 31 disposals, seven tackles and a huge 21 contested possessions. He wasn’t alone starring - Clayton Oliver (35 disposals, 10 clearances) was busy, Christian Petracca (28 disposals and a goal) was damaging, and while the duo of Tom McDonald (four goals) and Ben Brown (three) wasn’t exactly what everyone expected coming into the season, but it worked wonders.” Not that I think Harmes was BOG, but it’s hard to understand how others could have thought that he should be dropped. Or will they just discredit Fox to support their own poor view of reality?
  15. Yes he did. He got the ball 31 times. Sparrow’s season average disposals... 7.4. Sparrow is rated below average in almost every key stat. Refer AFL player ratings for this year. I’m not writing him off. He will improve but Harmes is way ahead of him at this stage.
  16. i wasn’t as impressed with Jordon as others. Turned the ball over too often and a couple resulted in goals. 47% disposal efficiency. Needs to tidy up. Brayshaw 57% DE. 6. Oliver 5. TMac 4. May 3. Langdon 2. Harmes 1. Salem A number of our players were well off the pace today. Pickett, Lever, Gawn, Brayshaw, ANB, Jackson, Petty, Fritsch, Melksham, and Rivers all played below expectations. Yet we still won! Can’t wait for everyone to have a big day out together — preferably in the last game of the year.
  17. Heart in mouth every time Petty is near the ball.
  18. We have to remember the MC has a plan that we’re not involved in. They also have the benefit of watching training performances. Further, all players are given aspects of their game to work on and maybe some aren’t making sufficient progress in those things.
  19. Sorry for the ignorance. I think I’ve figured out that Purple is Damian Barrett. But why is he called Purple?
  20. And contributing to it, even more so. ?
  21. Caro is clearly a Richmond supporter. Whateley is Geelong. Besides the obvious support of former players, does anyone know who the real journalists follow?
  22. Looking at that table, and if my counting is correct, it seems by some strange coincidence the two leading the sacked coaches club are now top two on the ladder. Who’d have thought?
  23. How do I say this nicely? Talent aside, I’d be concerned whether De Goey has the right temperament for us.
  24. Congratulations, Supermercado. (Don’t think I’ve ever seen a book cover without the author’s name before.)
