  1. Brought a tear to my eye. Proud to be a paid-up member of this club. If you’re reading this and you’re not a financial member of the wonderful Melbourne Football Club, please join!
  2. Easily fixed. Let’s go with favourite instead. ?
  3. 6. Petracca 5. Oliver 4. Gawn 3. Harmes 2. McDonald 1. Brayshaw
  4. Thanks Andy, George and Binman. Great show as usual.
  5. What a great win. But strangely, I have been more nervous watching this year. We did many things brilliantly but there is one obvious area where we need to improve, and it’s not hard to do so... We drop too many marks. Last night the regular offenders were Gawn, Lever, Jackson, Weideman (and probably others). Big guys who get their hands on the ball and don’t hold on. Our new boy, Petty, showed them how to do it. Well done Harry.
  6. 6. Oliver 5. Harmes 4. Lever 3. Petracca 2. Spargo 1. Gawn
  7. Ron Barassi and Hassa Mann weren’t too shabby either.
  8. Right. And maybe can we can add passion to the intent and outcome debate. Let’s see how Christian handles that one!
  9. Maybe the insufficient attempt (OOB) rule should be judged by boundary umpires? They are always on the boundary side of play so may have a better view. As well as less to think about. Or if not, maybe they should be consulted by field umpires before the decision is made? Something has to improve. (btw, my auto correct changed by mistyped “umpires” to “impures”. Says it all, really.)
  10. Forget Bedford. He’s not up to it and IMO, never will be. Remember, not every recruit is going to make it.
  11. According to The Âge: Former Collingwood cheer squad figurehead Jeffrey “Joffa” Corfe has been charged with two counts of historical sexual offending against a Melbourne teenager more than a decade ago.
  12. That was never a rule.
  13. this is the rule now, isn’t it?
  14. Great to read the analysis. Makes a very welcome change from the Melksham can’t tackle, Brayshaw can’t kick, Goodwin can’t coach, umpires can’t umpire posts we suffer through.
  15. But did you walk alone?
  16. You’re too kind ?
  17. This was the gist of my lost post. But at the same time, I admire his sportsmanship.

  19. I replied to this before the threads were merged, but it doesn’t appear here.
  20. Who’d have thought one would be censored for calling BT an id i0t? It’s his middle name!
  21. I’m not sure BT even knows the rules. There have been lots of examples over the weeks of this. Today, I think it was Lever who was tackled and just got his foot to the ball. BT insisted it should have been HTB. “Huh? He kicked it, you [censored].” (Sorry, re-living it.) And then there is just his ignorance... Earlier this round he needed Hodge to explain an intercept mark.
  22. Good work Joeboy. Can I add one? Brown : Hopes Jackson unfit
