  2. Thanks for posting that, Blind_turn. Interesting. And I like the way Mitchel asks Worpel what he should do rather than just telling him. It makes me wonder whether our player reviews are as professionally conducted.
  3. Happy to be wrong about his Rising Star chances. I knew it would come but I didn't think it would have been for last week's game. Well done Jacko!
  4. Seriously... it was another step forward for Jackson, but he has a long way to go to be a Rising Star of the calibre of other nominees. They don't give the award on potential. We all want him to be great, but he's not. Not yet, anyway. Same goes for Kozzie. Three minutes of highlights. Looong way to go.
  5. Jones : sadly, time's up Harmes : much better today
  6. There's a lot of premature love (and hope) for Jackson! 6. Oliver 5. Petracca 4. May 3. Viney 2. Salem 1. Lever
  7. Werridee might have to review his profile. His favourite players include TMac, Oliver and Jones. None of them fits into his team.
  8. Our team is very different this year. But if Adelaide is going to win a game in 2020, it will be against us.
  9. I was looking forward to Joeboy's assessment.
  10. Giving anyone votes in this game only devalues the votes EARNED by others in REAL games.
  11. Good that Jones is back. But I fear he will be caught holding the ball. He likes to force the stoppage by holding it in and under, and he doesn't try to dispose of it. The rule has a new interpretation and if he doesn't adapt, he'll give away 2 or 3 free kicks.
  12. 6. Gawn 5. Petracca 4. Viney ---------------- 3. Weideman 2. Oliver 1. Langdon
  13. Someone gave Picket a vote for a six possession game(at 66% efficiency). I like him too, but are we voting for best, or favourites?
  14. Easy to see favourites here. Kozzy versus Melksham. Too much praise for the first - yes, he's exciting to watch and he kicked two goals. But only 6 disposals at 66% efficiency. He's got talent all right and one day he might rival Farmer. But not now. Not enough recognition of the latter. Melksham played his role. Nine disposals at 88% efficiency and five marks and a goal. Credit where it's due.
  15. Sorry gs77, "with the Rivers's, Jordons, ANBs, Sparrows, Bedford's, etc. also in the mix." How many Rivers, Sparrows and Bedfords do we have?
  16. Yes, they'd have a hard time repeating those goals. While they were doing that, we missed our opportunities. Could have been a very different score line if luck had gone the other way.
  17. 6. Gawn 5. Viney 4. Langdon 3. Hibberd 2. O'Mac 1. Hannan
  18. O.Mac - Proved doubters wrong Pickett - Many silly actions
  19. Oliver dishes off to a player under pressure, time and again. If by chance the AFL introduces "team prior opportunity" as has been discussed on On The Couch, many of Oliver's disposals would result in a free kick to the opposition.
  20. Thanks Swooper. You're right about Phillips beating Grundy.
