Board Changes
HFF you font need to convince me that you are not agreeable to some of Melb's traits And administrative or footy decisions. My point was that people can perform role in changing Clubs or businesses. Also your cynicism about Rob Merrick snd Brad Green is negative way to look at their appointments. A half glass full might be a better approach until you see reason to criticise. Brown and Smith were used as an exsmple of my point as well. It voulcc dc be any footballer. .Who do you think we should recruit in the trade period then? what game are you referring to go back and look??? I am Going to finish my coffee my cup is half full looking towards 2021!!!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
That is about equal for pressure but another tall marking player WILL put pressure on defences like Lynch has at Tigers. Brown will be an asset And his accuracy a boost as well.

It's not a modelling or hair fashion competition It's a football list precessions yo improve and that why we should embrace any decent player and give him a chance to break a rather long drought fir a glad. Not sure about everyone one but as every season snd GF passes I am More impatient than ever fir success. Lrts give our boys the best chance In 2021 and beyond.

2021 - What excites you?
Foot soldiers worry me Most except Petty (inj) and Spargo Baker and Hunt had a Largely inconsistent ( promising at times) season. The others had their worst seasons ever snd are all lucky if they are not delisted (Jordan and Hore excepted). Need at least 3 good AFL players for forward wing and small running roles plus 4 draft players in addition with good running and disposal skills. Plus great improvement in Gus Harmes Melksham and development of Locky Jacko Kossie and Riv and Tommo Weid and Smith is a given.Oh and add a decent game plan with forward and mids connection on all levels. Then we should be in the line for Finals In 2021.

Board Changes
Oh and Brad Green being employed as a Coach recently. He is now a free agent not tied to any one and has been chosen after offering to GIVE UP his spare time. Thanks Brad BTW 2 weeks ago Adam Yze was employed by the Hawks ! is he not appropriate fir an Assistant or Senior Coaching role? Heaven forbid if we recruit those Brown and Smith characters We will need them to quarantine for 6 mths before they pull on our wonderful Red and Blue guernsey!!! Maybe you can't adjust in your life but others can as they have an open mind and positive outlook on new challenges in life!!!

Board Changes
This is a replacement Of Director Situation and why not utilise a confirmed loyal Dees fan with totally appropriate credentials to assist on the most major Club strategy needed in the next 2/3 years (other than winning a flag)? If we had got a person skilled in bread making you would have been all over that like a rash. Sorry HFF be even and fair and give some credit occasionally and don't be cynical and/ or Disenchanted ALL the time.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Yes you are harsh in your opinion IMO and would prob only have one A grader at the Dees Gawn or Trac I believe we have 4 with Clarry and Maysie also. My opinion of Fritta is beside upon his skill and ability he has. Right now he is prob only a "B" BUT he has so much room for improvement. Strength accuracy footy smarts leading and confidence are all areas and he has indicated he wants to improve his game big time. If he can I believe he will be as important to us or more Jack Gunston has been For the Hawks. I can't help feeling you have already marked his papers never or not to get to A grade for the Dees I have been frustrated a lot with Bayley but poor coaching and development have not helped and his confidence is the most important for Bayley in his improvement.

Assistant Coaches 2021
PJ I would like to see Salem on the HFF really as he upped his competitiveness and urgency after halfway of 2020. Maybe a stint on the ball and in the centre and also the FOrward Pocket would translate into a very dangerous goal kicker. With Rivers and Lockhart coming on I reckon we can move Salo to where he can do maximum damage on the scoreboard Its generally easier to Find a HB flanker from your list.

Trade Targets

Assistant Coaches 2021
Good move with Ooze mids have a blank book when starting and go from there . Salem nit harsh actually though he raised the bar this lady half if season. Seemed more urgent and wanted to run harder and move the ball much Quicker Very happy If he continues this way but Harmes and Brayshaw need a new teacher and Ooze could be a master stroke.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Jury Maybe still out for very small sample size but I think Bayley when developed and coached properly will be a star And he has done those 2 defensive jobs well so far Msybe if he had to handle a pacy opponent that's would test him out, Lets see he has plenty of tricks and will learn more as he develops,

On the contrary I expect ( except for load management) Jacko to play most if not all games in 2021 in the AFL team. He learns so quickly competes so enthusiastically and is so mobile and skilled he makes a complete X factor for the opposition to worry about and will give our forward line a Huge boost. Bring him on in the ones and he will repay our faith mo doubt. Just a waste learning in the 2's.

Dr G He has the ability to be if he fulfills his potential. And Goody does not expect him to monster beasts in marking duels. He beat Nick Hayne GWS snd Ridley Ess in last 2 matches and still scored and missed goals Whole not allowing them to mark and intercept. Taks e very good Footballer to beat those two excellent HB flankers! Bayley will be a star on our firward line kicking over 40 goals per season starting next season of 22 matches.

Farewell Oscar McDonald
Why would you assume that?

Farewell Mitch Hannan
Sorry form !!!!

Farewell Mitch Hannan
For once agree Turner but I reckon Hunt and Spargo are worth keeping For 1 to see if improvement at least and Hibbo actually had quite a good season but age Would limit it to one each year from now on.

Free agency - the rich (clubs) get richer
Don't you realise that the crowds at Optus Adelaide Gabba of 10,000 plus were the only ones that really mattered in 2020 in the H and A fixture. So the competition was fir better or worst centred around flexible fixturing which was really for TV purposes only. That's why This season has so much appeal snd of course hubs became an integral part of that fixturing allowing it to be possible also the Govt of Qld as well. Depending upon Victoria We don't know how 2021 will be planned at this stage! Thats why Gill is pro flexibility but 2021 may be entirely different we don't know yet!!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Why can't D/L ers Get it through their thi.k skulls that Fritsch position is NOT in danger! We do not have to not recruit a TALL forward to suddenly have to eliminate Fritta our best forward by far in 2019 and 2020 ( Ahead of even Trac) as he is an A grader IF he develops to his full potential as he has indicated he wants to on our website when resigned. Recognising flaws etc and improvements needed is the start that Trac and May made and Bayley is now on that train snd look out. 40 goals 25 behind is a realistic target fir 2021. Please tell me Who else other than Weid Ben Brown Tmac in 2018 form and fitness and Trac playing 75% forward are capable of that! Brown Weid with Jacko given free reign plus Fritta and 3 small / mediums are fine if in good form and supply as has been with greater skill Are fine fir 2021. Allowing Max Trac Clarry Angus snd Jack plus Harmes and Sparrow a resting role this seems fine In most conditions and flexible in style and for wet and windy conditions ( Cairns or Hobart ) also.

Farewell Mitch Hannan
Think it's about time we put 2018 to bed really to just great memoriesUp until Prelim Final. The Support fabric of that team are not up to it NOW viz Oscar Jets Hannan Melksham ANB snd AVB sadly plus Smith And Hunt who both really havn't improved much. Maybe one or two others I can't think of. Also our plan is nit the same and not able to be practiced 2 years on. This is why we We're so inconsistent In 2020 because our Top 10/12 played pretty well right down to Fritta and Weid ( still much room fir improvement though) plus Hibbo BUT our lowest 10 on any given day most from my list above did not contribute other than cameos. Hunt Spargo and Baker showed some good girl in odd games but went missing for 2/3 games when needed as support to our stars. Thats why we need to stop looking at some on our list and move on ie move than on as we will not improve. Really Baker Jordan Sparrow Bedford and Chandler should all have been given time and matches to test them out this year. We are none the wiser re them to hold or release some! FWIW Sparrow looks the goods Baker showed some great skill and needs at least one more year free from injury and I think Jordan has always looked promising his pace being questioned mainly and Bedford improved but his next level is needed consistently and who knows? Plus Chandler who May be lucky to survive. This year we had May and Trac improve markedly to A graders and who knows if our 12/ 30 on the list Many of those improved we could be like the Cats who have found that this year with a slightly more altered and more aggressive game plan and consistency from most on their list. Lets get it together Dees in 2021.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Don't you know why players have Medicals Chook? ( refer Trengove) Let the medics medic !!! we are not doctors only Clairvoyants on health!!!
-
Quinton Narkle
HVe we forgotten we have/are paying Burgo to handle this was fitness issue with all concerned.
-
Isaac Smith
Do you really think we would mind if we won a flag in 2022 and Smith was not up to It in 2023. Small point at that stage to work around I would think.

Esava Ratugolea
My point about Ben was as a response to your assertion that Edava has no ability. He is only 22 yrs old and in the right group/mix could be a very handy 2ruck/forward 2 or 3 for us. Ben is 27 and still dome here dont want him! But I wanted to elicit your ehoughts on Ben's skills that we can utilise if you cant see any future for Essva! Like all 22 yo he needs consistent work and footy each week. We saw that with many of our 20/30 list position players out of tough match practice. lLets see Who we end up with!
