AFL Mid Season Draft 2021
My G.d how much rubbish in about 2?paras of dribble. Tslk about a doubting Thomas and negative Nellie. All you have done is brought up doubts about Tommy snd his agility ( most are laughable) and questioned his magnificent pre season effort great clubmanship and NEAR 2018 form in leading our attack the fourth best in the AFL to date. Suggest you go back and visit the replay and get some rose coloured glasses on!! This forward line is still a work in progress but is gaining potential and needs BBB or Sam to get their form going and clunk some marks. zBack to the drawing board Young blood !

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
M9 wrong on 2 counts Weid 2 grabbed the mark just before 1/4 time vs Cats. Is consistently 2 grabbing and not always retaining the ball. And BBB has 4 year contract so he's not going any where. He only needs a run at it also to change fortunes. Between the 2 we should come up with a very useful KP Full forward in the second half if the season.

Agree with Riv reckon Jake may be but if Trac gets the nod no worries.

Eight Dees in Robbo's All-Australian team
That doesn't mean he has to pick the side he doesn't think is best. Its an in form side of well deserved players.

Eight Dees in Robbo's All-Australian team
Robbie never picked a ball up off the ground but boy he could mark for someone his size.

Where will we play the Lions?
Dr you are not a very smart Dr Waiting a week nearly to get tested and going here and there in that time is not smart. Thsts why there are 300 exposure sites Should have got tested on the 24 or 25 th. (?And isolated at home till a result.)

COACHES VOTES: Rd 11 2021
Perhaps they ( Saints ) don't always have the longest run at the top to grab their chance but they are masters of choking in Finals with 3/4 time leads albeit small ones. We have got to make the best of our opportunities and this season is an ideal start for a Top 2 or Top4 spot. Win the qualifying Final vs a if side at the G and next 2 are it home where this year we seem to be playing consistent tough and committed team footy.

The 2021 Rising Star Thread
Early days yet Durango but you are in the money. Trent has looked a ready made half back since about the fifth minute of his first game in the first quarter vs Carlton in 2020. Really came of age when he starred vs GWS and kicked his first goals ( second one left foot jag a match winner ) in Round 17 last year. And the real upside we got him at Pick 32 and Young was in the first dozen. I just have a sneaky suspicion he is future Captaincy material for our Club. Fine young footballer and humble knowledgeable human being to boot.

May’s Kick-in From Behind
Lever hardly does Rivers is our third option and ha mixes it up a bit but runs his full distance so gets at least 70//80m out from goal.
-
CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
I would have Rivers as Hibbo might have to mind McStay for a while if we want Jake to keep intercepting.
-
CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
Like Hunt to wing and Locky to mind the smalls of the Lions. We must start giving some players an opportunity in case we get form or injury worries down the track. This is if we need a replacement not experimenting or tampering with a winning team.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
Agree he has come back from a poor 2019 to a very serviceable 2020 plus is fitting in beautifully with all the defenders this year. For his age he is nearly back to his AA form snd disposal agsin back to best . At least another year if he wants it IMO.

Bayley Fritsch
Really W5 You don't rate him that highly Well perhaps you should stop and think and appreciate his superb skills and consistency often when we were beaten with a low score. He would usually kick goals even in this scenario and he has been doing it till Goody thank G.d realised he was irreplaceable up forward. He has been our most consistent forward and is not just a down hill skier. Far from it. What an insult to his style of play. Have a look at his body strength and physique and that's why he generally uses his brains and marking skills to get goals. Stringer and De Goey are beasts more like Trac and have other attributes to get themselves a goal. I'd rather Bailey as he is hard to man up on being good overhead and on the ground also. The only question is sometimes he can miss the occasional set shot. Our forward line is a mixture of all types and I am now wondering what you think of Charlie Spargo? Indeed I am also a bit worried how you rated the late great Robbie Flower as he didn't create a goal from brute strength or a massive contest Have a look at Bayleys game in the last half of our win vs GWS at the Gabba last Season and see how he wore down Nick Haynes to help us win. Not brute strength in body but in the mind!! Bayley I M O is in his own way is an A grader how he crafts goals when many others haven't got as much skill as him in his little finger.

Where will we play the Lions?
Did we have a say in it? I'd say not. If it was the arrogance in this scenario it was our big heads thinking we were playing some lowly teams and coupled with the rain and wind which we couldn't cope with turned out yo be a gigantic disaster.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
Well said and spit on besides Tommy leads our forward line.
-
Adam Cerra
Opinion not any facts I presume
-
May’s Kick-in From Behind
If you used your point 1858 then May could go all the way to the forward line!!! Please he is our best kicker in and we are not conceding goals by our kick ins so let's have a Plan B but stick to A until we need a variation during the game. Maysie knows what he is doing
-
Adam Cerra
What need Dont we want if Cerra was available ? Outside runner I would think! Really he fits like a glove for us and his disposal is good which means he qualifies under the new Melb rule of skill.

Langdon Concussion
Saw Robinson star yesterday and yes he would be a long bow for Bakes to take on. Maybe Angus tags him if he is on the wing but Harmes elsewhere is not bad unless he gets say McCluggage. Other wing could be Salem or Rivers and Lockhart to mind smalls ie Mathieson But structurally Msybe ANB is the best runner and Baker the most deserved I guess if not the most prudent choice.
